Ann is excellent! She noticed Jakes harness was too loose within the initial steps of their walk & she was right as he came running into the house. Her attention to detail assured he was safely harnessed a blessing.

About: I’m a lover of animals and have owned dogs my whole life. I’m good with dogs of all sizes but am especially experienced with large/giant breeds. I only work 2-3 days a week and even on the days I do work I have most of the day free. My schedule allows me to be home when most people are working and need their pets to be checked on! When I walk or check in on your pets you can always be guaranteed that I will treat your pets and your home as is they were my own.

An incredibly kind and compassionate human, who has a way with my beloved Westie, Charlie. It made our day to have met her and we can't wait to see her again for a walk or drop in visits this Fall.

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of dogs since I was a young child. Neighbors, family and friends have all asked me to pet sit! I now have a 2 year old rescue name Genny! She is very sweet, a big girl at 95lbs but extremely submissive in all situations! She would love a play mate and extra walks! Work from home M-F. On my lunch we always take a walk usually about 2 miles and Genny get plenty of potty breaks and outdoors time! I can follow any type of specific feeding plan and can ensure walks and outdoor time are a focus! I love dogs and would want to make sure your pet was taken care of they way I would want Genny to be!

Once again, Jessica was fantastic! We are so happy we booked her to watch our 16 year old dog. She sent daily photos, updates, and was easy to communicate with. Jessica made sure to give our old pup her meds every day, and gave her extra love. Neela was very happy and comfortable in our own home. We were so pleased. Thank you!

About: Hi! I have always loved animals, and have grown up with dogs and cats all my life! I moved to Collins in 2024 to a property with 30 acres of mostly wooded land with a dog kennel, cat house and barn! The property has a huge area for dogs to run and play. We are working on repairing a huge fenced in area right now, so we would walk around the property on a leash always. I have woods and trails on my property that I love to take walks through. Your pet and I will have so much fun together, I like to be very active and really enjoy hiking and playing with my dog. My playful dog would also love a friend to play with! I am starting a career in pet grooming in about a month, and I would love to gain experience working with animals professionally. I am very interested in learning about dog behavior and training. I have one dog, a 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix, two cats, and two goats. I've had senior dogs in my family before so I have experience with dogs of all ages! I would love the chance to take care of your animal for you and to take care of anything and everything that they would need to feel comfortable, safe and loved. I understand that patience is key when taking care of an animal! I have open availability until Aug 24. After that I will adjust my availability and I should have week nights, Sat night and Sun available. I will take care of your home, make sure I follow your directions, follow any rules in your household, and have utmost respect of your home. If boarding at my home, I will make sure your pet gets plenty of one-on-one time walking, hiking, playing, training and cuddling. I will give your pet the time, patience and love that they deserve!

About: I have a lot of experience with all kinds of animals, from dogs to hamsters to creased geckos. My dog cookie is one of the most kind, loving animals, along with my hedgehogs. I’ve been told that my animals are very well taken care of and I pride my self on that. I promise to care for your animals the same way I care for mine. One of my goals in life is to pet as many dogs as I can throughout my life, gotta live your best life you know? Throughout my 9 years of caring for my dog the only health problem she’s ever had was to fatty tumors and I caught them fast so it wasn’t a big deal because we got them remove. And I know how to cut nails and groom so that’s a bonus. My schedule revolves around my dog and others. We train everyday and go on many adventures. Whatever to make my dog happy or anybody else’s. I love it I care for pets as they are my own, very safe and very cautious. Feed them when they need to be feed, I can do medicine if needed, if they’re on a special diet I can do that. If sick around me I will inform you and try my best to make the dog better, I treat them like family

About: Hi fellow dog lovers, my name is Rocky, a 25 yo male college undergrad that just moved here to buffalo. I’m originally from New Orleans Louisana. I come from a home of two shih-tzu dogs, (Popsicle and Levi), which I had to leave behind with my mom and sister. I enjoyed walking, feeding, stimulating, and just being all around loved by my two best friends. And I am looking to explore the same opportunities with your beloved pet. I promise to give the upmost care and attention that your pet deserves. Pick me as your personal rover walker or sitter, and let the worries go. You will come home to a relaxed, well excercised, and already gone for a potty, loving dog. That is my promise.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 379 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Yorkshire. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Yorkshire. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Yorkshire.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yorkshire. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
