About: I’ve had 15 years of experience in taking care of other people’s pets as well as having my own, I had a small business with my sister but we eventually stopped for her to pursue babysitting instead. I have worked with a variety of animals and have some basic knowledge from my previous job at petsmart, I know this site is for cats and dogs but I am also willing to do other animals as well. I do have some training in dog grooming from my job, but I am only comfortable with bathing and drying off. My best time for scheduling would be from 9 AM to 3 PM, anything else I really cannot fit into my schedule due to personal commitments. I suppose my best way to answer this is to love them. I love animals, and I know animals are not all the same. They need specific care and specific needs met, and every one of those looks different for each animal. One of the best things I can do as a pet sitter is to provide the care needed, and to show the attention needed as well. Instructions and expectations are set for a reason, and I am willing to follow any one of those to ensure your animals are taken care of to the best of my ability.

“Fern was wonderful with our two kittens while we were away! One of our kittens is very shy, but Fern’s gentle care worked wonders-she managed to coax him out of his shell. It was a relief knowing they were in such capable hands. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats and couldn't be more grateful. Fern is reliable, attentive, and clearly has a knack for connecting with animals.”

“Brenda was awesome! She took lots of photos and made me feel at ease being away from my sweet girl, Maple. She was very easy to work with and responded quickly. I’m so glad I chose her and knew she would be the right choice! Highly recommend 🤗”

“Abby was amazing taking care of my Pandora! It took awhile for our Pandora to warm up to her but she handled it beautifully and we appreciated the care she took while we were away for 2 weeks! Thanks so much! We'll be using her again in the future. A+++”

About: I have 9+ years of experience working as a dog walker and carer. I also volunteered at a dog rescue for an additional 2 years. I've worked with dogs of all sizes and with all sorts of personalities and physical limitations. Each dog requires their own individual attention based on their upbringing, age, and physical capabilities. I am patient and affectionate with dogs and love taking them outdoors to stretch their legs and explore the world. I hope you will consider me as your dog's next new friend. I live in a house with a small fenced yard, but take my dogs (and will take your fur baby) on several walks every day. I feed my dogs on their schedule and can easily follow your dog's schedule, being mindful of his/her specific needs. When boarding your dog at my home, your pup will be treated as lovingly as mine. I cuddle, play, and exercise with the dogs. I make sure your dog is happy while you're away, and I send a lot of pictures and videos. I know I would love the same if my dog were in your hands. I generally do Rover walks Mondays-Wednesdays in Alexandria. I host dogs for daycare or boarding at my house in Manassas on Wednesday nights through Sunday nights. Your fur baby is in great hands at my home. I give lots of pets and cuddles, as well as taking your pup out to stretch his/her legs. I have a two dogs who enjoy playing tug and chase with new furry friends. There's also a shy cat who lives in the house, so your dog has to be good with cats.

About: My name is Dana Whitcomb and I have a love of playing with and caring for dogs. I have a single family home with approximately 1/3 acre lot. The back yard is large and fenced in for play time. I have grown up with dogs all my life and in my family. I currently have 2 dogs. Witten is 12 yrs old and is a Puggle. Winston is 5 and is a Bichon mix. Witten is mainly an inside dog and loves to just lay around, while Winston is similar but more active when other dogs come to play. Both my dogs are fixed and up to date on shots. I help watch the dogs of my neighbors when they are away on trips, work, and even for play dates. I welcome any breed of dog as long as they are not aggressive as I have children at home. A meet and greet will be required before accepting any booking. Pets must be house-broken and/or crate trained as my dogs sleep in their crates at night. During this time of Covid, I would like to inform all potential clients that my family and I have all been tested and are negative for Covid. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you!

“Our kitties are our furry children. Not only are they spoiled but we also have one that requires meds twice daily and not at an hour that anyone would want to be chasing a cat with medication. Katey took on the mission and finished it beautifully. At my request, she came over before hand to meet everyone and continued that while we were away. She even got to see one of our children that normally hides from the world. Somehow Katey was able to find her, put her food nearby and even got a picture! Cannot say enough great things about this sitter! She updated me with pics and texts as well.”

“Emma went above and beyond to take care of my Pooffy. I was away from home, outside of US for.more than a month. She prompty stepped in and took the best care of my fur son. She is very well communicative, fun and loved pooffy a lot. Very aptient and always ready to support the pet parents. I have been taking her services several times and definitely can vouch for her! 🌷🌷”

“Kristin made fast friends with our dogs and dropped in to car for her when we had to be away from them all day. Great communication, and worked us into her schedule on less notice than we should have given her.”

About: I’ve been a pet owner for 15 years. Had a beautiful Maltese companion named Dandelion (seen in profile photo) who recently passed of old age. Looking to help people care for their pets while simultaneously getting to socialize with animals again! I’m very detail oriented, patient and intuitive when it comes to pet care. Currently working between 2-5 days a week at a small spa as a contractor employee so my schedule is flexible. Will be starting online class in the fall (I can take it anywhere with me) I’m open to short term and long term care provided I work it into my schedule in advance. I’m used to interacting with animals in various states of being. If they need lots of playtime or attention, needing to be crated or just given space, I am willing to follow instruction and guidance per the owners request while using my own skillset to approach each situation the best.

“Jennifer took great care of our pups while we were out of town. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! She came to the house to meet them as soon as we booked and took great care to attend to their needs. I would recommend Jennifer to any pet owner. Thank you!”

Betty G.
“Betty is one of the most caring and considerate individuals I know. She has a huge heart, and is always there when you need her (whether you're furry or otherwise)! Growing up she had a plethora of pets, including several cats and dogs. I would trust her completely with my own dog, as I know she would give 110% of herself to make sure he was comfortable and happy. She'd make a wonderful animal sitter!”

Deanna W.Star Sitter
“Deanna has had her dog for a while now, and I know of how she has cared for others. Even when she took in one dog that had pretty extreme behavioral issues she still put all of her energy to ensure that it received as much care as possible. I cannot imagine anyone more well-equipped or more patient to handle dogs and the particular requirements each dog may bring. She is extremely caring, but also understands that some dogs require training and boundaries to ensure that they are properly exercised and stimulated mentally.”
