“I'm so happy to have found Shawna to care for our Cash. He absolutely loves her. She kept us informed of his daily activities. I will continue to choose her for his care when we are away. I think he misses her and his play friends. I highly recommend her for all your needs.”
“Amanda took really good care of our babies! Loved all the pictures that she sent of them. It was such a comfort knowing that they were in good hands! Sadie & Charlie loved meeting new friends! Will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Hannah has such a kind soul. My dog went over to her without pause. We got updated photos during her sleepover which definitely helps with the separation anxiety. I will always use Hannah as my go to dog person.”
“LOVED the experience. I knew my girl was in safe hands and am so glad I booked with Skylar. Very responsive, very understanding, randomly sent pictures!! I never worried once while she took care of my moody, drooly dog. Will use her again and again, as long as she will have us!”
“Trey and his fiancé are amazing! Super responsive and flexible. My dog is a pretty anxious guy, but he fit right in and clearly had a great time—he was worn out when we got home and just went right back to his normal routine. I’d absolutely bring my dog back if needed!”
About: I am a breeder and I’m experienced with pets of all ages including puppies and seniors. I’m patient, attentive and will always treat your pet like my own. I currently work from home so I’m available throughout the day to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles and lots of love! “Jeanie was awesome to work with! She took our dog, Penny, on short notice. She was very engaging with us and responded to all of our questions in a timely manner. She made us feel very comfortable leaving Penny with her for the week. She continually updated us with pictures and short commentary about Penny’s stay. We could tell through the updates that Penny was enjoying herself. Penny is usually very reserved around strangers but she took to Jeanie very quickly. We would not hesitate to bring Penny back!”
“Angelica and Elizabeth were wonderful with my fur baby. I missed him like crazy but I knew he was in good hands. I received pictures and videos frequently. I will definitely use them again. They treated him like their own. Thank you”
“We were in town for a sporting event at the University of Cumberlands. Our Airbnb did not allow pets. Sarosh is conveniently located to the campus, so drop off and pick up were very easy. Sarosh was accommodating to our needs, took exceptional care of our Australian Shepherd (walks and picture updates), and is extremely responsive to texts. I highly recommend!”
About: With a lifetime of pet care experience, I treat every animal like family. Trust your pets with someone who loves them as much as you do! As a part-time substitute teacher, I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to easily fit in pet care and provide your pets with dedicated attention and love. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I create a secure, loving environment, ensuring trust and peace of mind while your pets are in my care.
About: I am a licensed veterinary technician so I am professionally trained to know how to take care of your animals especially if there is an emergency! I currently work full time at Lincoln Memorial University. I can only do weekends because of my schedule, but I can also see what I can do to help during the week! I do not have a fenced in yard. My dogs have been trained to stay in the yard. I have 3 dogs, they are younger and very playful. I also have 3 cats. Even though I do not have a fence, I can offer walks in the yard or walking up and down the road and put them on the leash while they use the bathroom. I have a whole room dedicated for the animals where they can stay unless they are kept uncaged then they can have free roam of the house.
“Savannah and Shyly were very responsive and friendly! They took great care of our pup and were great about sending daily pictures! Would definitely use them again and recommend to!”
About: I have been a dog sitter/cat sitter, off and on for 20 years. I love animals! I treat and love them as if they were my own. Unfortunately, I do not have a fenced in yard, but I have plenty of yard around my home. I prefer smaller dogs, but I am flexible. Must be good with kids! I have a 14 year old who loves animals and can't wait to give them attention they need. I will be happy to come get your dog or meet you prior to watching your dog. I have a full-time job. I leave the house around 8, and I'm home most days by 4:00. My husband will be here to help out as needed. I will walk them, play and care for them as they are my own. I own a large crate so if you are crate training I can be consistent and provide that service.
About: I ensure the safety and well-being of animals while their owners are away. Responsibilities include feeding , walking , administering medications and companionship, reliable care. I pet sit to share my love for animals. It fits my daily routine by blending morning/evening walks with my own exercise and part-time work . Your fur-baby gets non-stop tail-wags, cozy couch snuggles, playful backyard romps, and scheduled snacks. I’ll send plenty of of cute photos to keep you smiling.
“Kayla and her husband were great, easy to communicate and deal with. We felt Micah and Luna were in great hands, and we received daily updates and pictures. We won't forget what for us was the highlight of their stay, which was seeing them interact with Kayla's baby daughter! It was heart-melting cute! We will definitely reach out to her for any future needs :)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Yoakum Crossroad home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Yoakum Crossroad.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Yoakum Crossroad sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
