“Elizabeth is fantastic. Our dog really likes and she takes great care of him. Elizabeth is also an aspiring veterinarian which clearly shows that she genuinely cares about animals.”

About: I have 8 years of experience being a veterinary assistant and 10+ years of caring for dogs/cats of my own. I’m capable and more than happy to accommodate any special needs your pet may require! I have a lot of experience with oral and injectable medications. I’ve cared for pups that have had epilepsy, dietary restrictions, and anxiety or other behavioral concerns. I currently have class sporadically throughout the week but my husband works from home and is happy to fill in any gaps I may be away from the house. We are both happy to devote weekends entirely to your fur baby. My husband and I can be available select weekdays and can be flexible around your schedule with a little heads up! We have a large fenced in yard and two friendly pups of my own to keep your pet company. I’m also happy to work with your pup on training or learning new tricks.
About: I grew up on a farm, which gave me hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, from small pets to large breeds. I’m comfortable with all sizes, temperaments, and personalities. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs. I currently have a senior diabetic cat, so I’m comfortable administering injections, monitoring blood sugar, and giving medications. In addition, I help care for a senior three-legged Chihuahua and a Lab mix, so I understand the extra patience and attention that senior and special-needs pets require. As a prospective Physician Assistant, I bring strong attention to detail, responsibility, and a genuine passion for caregiving. My schedule is generally flexible, allowing me to be reliable and accommodating for your pet’s needs. I treat every pet like my own and can’t wait to meet your furry family member! Pet care is something I prioritize in my daily routine. I’m a substitute teacher, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule. This flexibility means I can provide reliable, consistent care, whether that’s regular walks, drop-in visits, or extra time and attention for pets who need it. I treat every pet in a client’s home the same way I care for my own, with patience, attention, and respect for their routine. I make sure to follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and exercise needs. I’m also very mindful of keeping your home safe and secure while you’re away, and I’ll always communicate with updates so you have peace of mind.
About: My mom has a pet sitting business and I became a pet sitter and trainer when I was in highschool! After highschool, I became a vet tech working during summer and winter breaks before I got accepted to vet school to become a veterinarian. I’m very comfortable taking your pups on walks but also taking care of your pets needs including medical needs! I’m currently on summer break as I’m a veterinary student so I have plenty of free time! I’m happy to take care of your pups walking needs while you’re at work or to take care of them while you’re out of town! Whatever you need I’m happy to accommodate! I would come to your home so your pets feel most comfortable in their normal environment! Whether they need crating, walks, meds or more, I’m happy to do what’s needed.

About: I’ve taken care of animals of all kinds since I was a kid, growing up around farms , taking large dogs on walks for exercise, house siting, and volunteering at animal shelters. I have a very flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to care for and meet all of the needs of your furry friends. No request is too demanding, I am a very detail oriented person with years of experience in operations management. You can trust me to meet the needs of your pets while maintaining order in your home.
About: I’ve never gone a day in my life without a dog, and they’ve always been family — never just animals in the house. That same love and respect is what I bring to every pet I care for. With two years of experience as a veterinary assistant, I’m comfortable walking, feeding, playing, and giving oral or topical medications. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality so they feel safe, understood, and truly cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to keep routines consistent. I double-check doors, gates, leashes, and feeding instructions to ensure safety at all times. I take time to make pets feel comfortable and calm in their own environment, keeping things clean and organized before I leave. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease. About: I am a licensed veterinary technician so I am professionally trained to know how to take care of your animals especially if there is an emergency! I currently work full time at Lincoln Memorial University. I can only do weekends because of my schedule, but I can also see what I can do to help during the week! I do not have a fenced in yard. My dogs have been trained to stay in the yard. I have 3 dogs, they are younger and very playful. I also have 3 cats. Even though I do not have a fence, I can offer walks in the yard or walking up and down the road and put them on the leash while they use the bathroom. I have a whole room dedicated for the animals where they can stay unless they are kept uncaged then they can have free roam of the house.
About: I love all animals. As you can see in my pictures I have been around many different animals. I have been around dogs, cats, Guinea pigs and hamsters, sharks, goats, birds, and horses. I believe that pets are part of the family and I believe all animals deserve to be well taken care of. While my apartment does not allow pets I am more than happy to pet sit at your place or just stop by for some attention, feeding, or walks. Pets are part of one’s family and I believe that should be treated as such. I am there to feed your pet and take it on walks as well as play with it and give it whatever kind of attention is needed.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Yoakum Crossroad. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Yoakum Crossroad after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
