“Wendy was amazing for our little cat, Gunner! She dropped by for 3 days while we were out of state and gave us so much peace of mind. She was really responsive, wrote detailed drop in summaries (which honestly made our day!), and played with him every time she visited. We would LOVE to work with Wendy again in the future! Thank you, Wendy!!”

“Isabell is great! She came over to let Lyra out while we were gone for the day. Her communication before and during the visit were perfect. We'll definitely use her again in the future.”

“I can't recommend Teaghan enough! I am a first time Rover user and I was super anxious about it. I had another sitter booked originally but they were flaky so I had to find someone else last minute and Teaghan was sooo easy to work with and accommodating. I am so happy I found her and would definitely use her again in the future :)”

“Jenna did a great job taking care of my dog. She played with him, fed him, and walked him. I was able to relax knowing my pup was well taken care of. I have booked with her before and will definitely book with her in the future.”

“Our travel schedule went a little haywire during this booking and Stephanie smoothly accomodated, taking a lot of stress out of the situation. Again, the pet care was outstanding. Would highly recommend Stephanie!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life! I have had numerous jobs caring for and staying in homes to care for pets while families are away. I am currently available for quick visits or even longer stays! My schedule is very flexible at the moment, so I am happy to be of help where/when needed! I have two English Cream Golden Retrievers at home on an electric fence. Happy to discuss your home requirements when it comes to your pup!
About: I am a full-time working mom with 2 kids, 3 cats and 1 dog. I have years of experience walking, dog/cat sitting for friends, neighbors, family. I couldn't have a dog as a kid b/c we lived in an apartment so the first chance I was able to get my own dog, my husband and I adopted Buttons in 2009 when she was 4 months old and then Marty in 2013 at 10 weeks old. We also have 3 cats, Buttercup, Sox and Murray. We lost our 2 senior cats, Bruschi in 2024 and Seymour in 2019 at 18 and 12 yrs old. My soul dog, Buttons just passed away in March at 15 yrs old and for the last 9 months I administered daily subcutaneous fluids as well as supplements, probiotics, antibiotics on a daily basis to help support her kidney disease. I built her a wheelchair because she had arthritis but loved to walk and turned my old stroller into a dog stroller for her during her last days. I have another senior dog, Marty who is 12 and although doesn't take daily medication is a very anxious guy so learning to adapt and make his life amazing has been a learning curve since Buttons was such a laid back girl. I feel that dogs and cats and animals in general are an important part of your life, they teach us things that humans cannot and I feel that in my soul. I would be humbled to take care of your pets so that you do not have to worry at all. I work from home and typically can get away during a lunch break. I have the summers off and am pretty available during the weekdays. I have a fenced yard, I have experience walking an aggressive, anxious dog as well as a senior dog who needs to go slow and at her own pace. I have cats and am very conscious, even a bit paranoid at times of doors being left open or the window screens not being secure so I am always double checking those things.
About: I have dog sat multiple dogs at one time for as long as a week long stay. I am very active and enjoy outside walks, and I am able to keep up with fast, strong, and heavy pets. I have always loved animals and am happy to sit and pet a dog or cat for hours. I am a full time student with a low commitment part time job looking for a way to fill my time with work I am passionate about which is spending time with animals and helping owners! I prioritize integrity, safety, and communication. My goal is to keep pets safe and owner’s minds at ease. I enjoy quality time with pets and want to make your life easier!

About: I love all pets from dogs to reptiles. I have grown up around cats, dogs, tortoises, bunnies, and horses to name a few. I have been watching cats for our family friends since I was 11 and have had my own cat since I was two. I have experience with dogs from newborn puppies to seniors. I have volunteered in an animal shelter and helped foster kittens. I love all animals and would be honored to watch your pet! I am currently working full time but remotely. I can do after 4:30 on most weekdays and am flexible on the weekends, in particular, the afternoons/evenings. I have experience pet sitting and honor the trust you are putting in me to not only watch your animal, but be in your space. I have also been a babysitter for years and understand the respect for a clients space.
About: Dogs have been one of the great loves of my life. I've been taking care of them, and doing life with them for years :) I currently work full time and will be a graduate nursing student in the fall, pet care fits into my routine as a side gig! I care for pets by treating them as if they are a loved member of my own family, caring for their individual needs always :)
“Cierra is wonderful and accommodating. She is on top of communication and is extremely patient with my more challenging dog. We’re very lucky we found her!”

About: I’ve spent my life surrounded by animals, from growing up training Golden Retrievers to the many years I spent with my Lhasa Apso, Cooper, and my two beloved cats. My home is a bit too quiet since they passed, and I’m eager to share that "family-first" devotion with your pets. I’m new to the app, but a veteran with animals! My Commitment to You: • Full-Time Attention: I work independently and am home the majority of the day. Your pet will be my primary focus and never left alone for more than an hour or two. • Versatile Experience: Whether it’s the high energy of a large breed or the specialized needs of a small senior, I’ve handled it all with patience and care. • The "Spoiled" Treatment: Since I’m just starting on Rover, I’m only taking limited guests. This means your pet gets 1-on-1 attention and a schedule tailored entirely to them. Services I Provide: • 🏡 Boarding: A cozy townhouse with carpeted stairs (great for traction!) in a very walkable community. Multiple daily strolls are a guarantee. • 🐾 Walks & Drop-ins: Punctual and reliable. I’m comfortable with all temperaments and am happy to follow your specific training or house rules. • 🐱 Cat Care: As a former cat mom, I specialize in visits that prioritize real companionship and play, not just a food-bowl refill. I can’t wait to meet your best friend and treat them like a member of my own family! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work independently and am home the majority of the day, stepping out for no more than an hour or two at a time. Your pet will never be left alone for long, and I treat every animal in my care as my own. My home is a townhouse with carpeted stairs and plenty of cozy space for pets to roam. Both cats and dogs are welcome throughout. I live in a very dog friendly community, so walks happen multiple times a day based on your pet’s needs and energy level. Your pet will be comfortable, well cared for, and never an afterthought.
About: Please read through my profile before reaching out to make sure we sound like the perfect fit. I require a meet and greet for all new clients! Sometimes it’s hard to find time between kids/dogs/life so I recommend reaching out as early as possible. I think it’s very important to make sure everyone is comfortable before booking! Hi! My name is Jenn and I am a stay at home mom with two daughters. I want to share a little about our family and what your pup can expect during a stay in our home! Leaving our beloved pets in the care of someone else can be stressful. I have definitely shed a few tears when leaving my dogs in the care of someone else! I take this into account when caring for someone else’s pet. Your dog will receive a warm and happy welcome into our home as I treat each and every doggy guest exactly how I expected my dogs to be treated. Take comfort in knowing that I will care of your dogs as if they were my own. They will receive as much love and attention as they want or need. I am home most of the day with the exception of a few dogs walks and driving my children to their activities. My husband works remotely and is typically home during the day. Your pup will never be left alone for extended periods of time. We have two daughters aged 11 and 8 who are dog lovers and big helpers! They share a love of animals with their Mama. There are a few important details to read over. I love all dogs but not all dogs are the perfect fit for our home and vice versa. Please read below. 1. Your dog MUST like children. As previously mentioned I have two daughters who are excited to snuggle and love your dog! If your pup isn’t a fan of kids then our home will not be a good fit. 2. Your dog MUST like dogs. We have a resident dog and often have a boarder or two. If your dog doesn’t do well with other dogs then our home will not be a good fit. 3. I require a meet and greet before any stay. I want you to feel at ease when leaving your dog in my care. 4. I only accept potty trained dogs and offer many potty breaks/walks throughout the day. If your dog is a marker then they will not be allowed to roam free in our home and I will need to use a belly band. I take pride in our home and want it to stay clean and comfortable for my family and our doggy guests. Accidents happen but consistent marking is not ok. If use of a belly band/doggie diaper is necessary I will of course let you know. 5. Crate trained dogs only. By this I mean no barking or excessive whining . My husband works from home and is on calls during the day and we have children that need to sleep! If your dog is not crate trained and barks/whines someone will be called to pick you dog up! I have had people lie before which is why I am a stickler! Thanks for understanding! 6. We DO NOT have a fenced in back yard. We take take the dogs on frequent walks and and they get many potty breaks throughout the day! My husband loves hiking and enjoys taking the dogs on his adventures. The dogs play with one another and my girls love engaging the pups in play! You may end up with a picture of your dog dressed in a princess dress or attending a tea party. 7. Please make sure your dog is utd on all shots and flea/tick prevention. If you can send me copies of their vaccination records that is most helpful. 8. Please take note that my holiday rates are higher than my nightly rates. I fill up quickly for holidays as I only take 1-2 dogs over major holidays. 9. I’m flexible with pick up and drop off times and will ask the day before or day of for an estimated time of arrival. I have found it’s easier on the dogs if drop off is earlier in the day. That way they can spend time acclimating to our family. Promptness is appreciated and I cannot wait around for you. 10. Excessive barkers need not apply! Occasionally barking at delivery people is expected but constant barking isn’t acceptable. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! I want your dog to be comfortable in our home. We truly enjoy spending time with all different dogs and they will love being with us! I’m am fortunate to be a SAHM and have all the time in the world to spend with your dog. We typically feed the dogs breakfast and give them their first potty break around 6:30/7:00 AM. We will take a morning/early afternoon walk and then have dinner around 5:30/6:00. The last potty break around 10:00/10:30 then off to bed! Potty breaks and additional walks are offered throughout the day as needed. Your dog will be loved, snuggled, payed with, walked, and tired out at the end of everyday. I will send you videos and pictures and you can call/message whenever you want!
“Lauren has been very responsive throughout the booking process, flexible as our work schedules change, prompt, and most importantly, our puppy loves her! I would highly recommend her for pop in visits and/or walks.”

About: Starting when I was only two years old, I became the neighborhood dog walker. Over the years, I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, turtles, hamsters, rabbits, lizards, birds, and more. In 2020, I began my own cat rescue and to date have saved 40 stray/feral cats and kittens. I have experience working as a Veterinary Assistant, and am certified in Cat and Dog First Aid. My house is full of fur babies - I have a pit bull and three cats of my own. I know how stressful it can be to go away and leave them, and I hope to alleviate some of that stress! ❤️ I work as a therapist in Dedham. My schedule is semi flexible and I work remotely on Wednesdays. I do not work on Fridays or over the weekends. I feel very comfortable with all animals. My rescue work has taught me how to work well with terrified or aggressive animals, and I have a lot of patience. I feel comfortable crating dogs if that is requested, as well as walking very big or very strong dogs.
“Cheryl took great care of my two cats while I was on a two week vacation. She handled food, water, treats, litter, and play just right. From the meet and greet, I could tell she has a sweet and gentle touch and really understands how to relate to cats. Her thorough updates including photos kept me confident that they were in good hands.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
