Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's well being, your home's security, and your piece of mind are all top priorities in my business. I am happy to discuss any concerns during the meet and greet and as needed. I am easy to reach any time and like to keep communication open with my clients.
Information Amanda O. would like to know about your pet
I will ask you a lot of questions about your pet and their needs during our meet and greet. Some things I will need to know are their breed, age, weight, whether or not they are altered, if there are any behavioral or health issues, and which vaccines they are current on, vet information, and emergency contacts. Bully breeds welcome :)
A typical day
I want to spoil your pet! Whether that means extra playtime or a spa treatment, I live to see animals feel happy! I believe in giving pets the best I can get for them--the best massages, the best munchies, the best toys, and the best mini adventures (walks outside)!

Pet care experience
DOG EXPERIENCE: I am Certified in Dog Trainer Knowledge and have my Pet First Aid/CPR certifocation. I am also a member of Pet Sitters International. I have worked in a grooming salon, a 120-dog capacity kennel in the high energy play group (I'm ready for your bully breeds!), independently studied and practiced the methods and theories of various dog trainers, was a dog owner for 15 years, and have been doing pet care full time since 2017. I also have my own dog walking business. I have gotten to know and become close with many dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I have experience with advanced first aid, wound treatment, and treating several health conditions in dogs. CAT EXPERIENCE: I was a cat owner for over 16 years and have experience with the issues cats typically face in old age, but also UTI's, FIV, minor heart conditions, and administering oral medication. Shy cats love me because I know how to show them calming signals and be welcoming. Playful cats love me because I give them tons of attention! Cats that couldn't care less don't mind me because I understand when they need their space. POULTRY EXPERIENCE: I have experience with hens, roosters, and geese. I have a huge soft spot in my heart for chickens and poultry in general! I have had over 20 chickens including 5 roosters. I am comfortable working with aggressive roosters and have experience with treating egg binding, bumblefoot, leg injuries, and healing serious wounds from predator attacks on chickens. If you are as much in love with your chickens as I am with mine and extremely protective of them, I'm your chicken sitter! Fees for pets other than dogs and cats are negotiable. OTHER PETS EXPERIENCE: This includes ferrets (I have had several and know what a handful they are!), fresh water fish, anoles, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, rodents, tree frogs, aquatic turtles, small tortoises, and more. I am willing to help with basic care for yours too. Please ask me about the price for care for pets other than dogs and cats. DOG WALKS: I can’t wait to walk your dog! Walks are $40 for a half hour, or $50 for an hour-- a second dog is included for free! Walks take place whether rain or shine. During walks I will carry fresh water and a clean bowl for your dog. I will also have a doggy first aid kit, just in case. For your peace of mind, I use only the most secure dog walking equipment to keep your dog safe. If your dog does not have his or her own harness, collar, or leash, I will provide one. High energy dogs, big dogs, and bully breeds welcome! Dogs that are over 100lbs will be approved on an individual basis. If your dog has too much energy for you to handle, I will help tire him out so you can finally have the lapdog of your dreams. DROP IN VISITS: During drop in visits, you can rest assured that your home and pet will be safe and secure. I am willing to make sure your pet feels just as at home when you are gone as when you are there. Whatever your cat, dog, or other pet needs done, I can help! Refreshing their food and water, cleaning their litter box, playing fetch, brushing their fur, providing potty breaks, etc., or even just keeping them company for a little while are all a great way to say “I love you” to your pet when you aren’t at home. OVERNIGHT STAYS AT YOUR HOME: I understand how daunting it can be to leave your home and your pet in someone else's care, especially overnight. I like to make sure you get to know me and I get to know your pets well enough first with several walks or visits done ahead of time so we can make sure everyone is comfortable moving forward. Rest assured that because I value my job so much, I would never break your trust and ruin the privilege of having the best job in the world. Your pet, home, belongs, and privacy will be safe and sound. My schedule can be hard to predict so I primarily work around the clients I already have scheduled. I may have some days blocked off on my calendar, but please ask me anyways if you need me on a blocked off day. I am always happy to work something out for you and your pet if I can! I love and am deeply thankful for this job, so you can rest assured knowing that I would never do anything to break your trust and ruin the privilege of being self employed and working with animals. Your pets will be given my highest standard of care. During our initial meet and greet I will ask you many questions about your pet, and you will have the opportunity to let me know exactly how you would like them be cared for. As for your home environment, I am very good with keys and locking doors, and I believe in being respectful of other people's belongings and privacy. I am happy to talk about any questions and concerns you may have in our meet and greet.
Reviews

Amanda is the best! She has checked on my kitty a few times now. She is always super communicative and takes extra (washing the water bowl and making sure lock box numbers are random when she leaves, etc). Super sweet to my kitty and he loves her!

Amanda is very professional, polite and organized. Highly recommended!

We're happy with what Amanda did and will engage her again in the future

Superb service for our two dogs! Always on-time and very communicative with us. She genuinely cares for our dogs and for us; it was a delight to have her as part of 'our family' for a whole week. Thank you!
