“We are incredibly grateful to have Heather D. as our go-to dog sitter! They always go above and beyond to ensure our pup is happy, healthy, and well-cared for. From daily walks to playtime and snuggles, Heather D. truly treats our dog like their own. Their reliability, kindness, and love for animals shine through every visit. Highly recommend!”
“I had a fantastic experience with Sandy! From the moment she picked Lucy up, I felt completely confident that she was in great hands. Her communication was prompt and friendly, and the regular updates and photos really put my mind at ease. Lucy came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It's such a relief to find someone as trustworthy and attentive as Sandy. I’ll definitely be booking with her again in the future—thank you so much for taking such great care of Lucy!”

“Jennifer was incredible with our young (and wild) golden. He got all the exercise, discipline, and care he needed, all in scenic nature surroundings. She even helped with a pesky ear infection. Best of all, her well-trained pack was there to assist in socializing the wild child. Thank you, Jennifer!”

“Emily and family took amazing care of our dog Chloe when we were out of town. From our meet and greet, Emily asked a lot of very good questions like what habits we allowed and did not allow, what kinds of updates we needed, whether we allowed her to wear her harness when not on a leash, etc. Emily seemed to have a strong background in training young dogs. Their dog Chaka seemed to play with Chloe all day and tired her out. Chloe went home very tired and very happy. While we were stressed about packing and forgot our mini white noise machine, Emily offered to lend us hers. We received frequent photo updates, and Chloe was always very happy in the photos. We would definitely recommend Emily and family took take care of your dogs.”

“I booked with Earl super last minute so I really appreciated him getting back to me and watching Norma. She stayed for one night and seemed very relaxed when I got her back which I thought was awesome. Earl sent me some photos of her during her stay to keep me updated. Will definitely book again :)”

“Aniqua was great with our dog and puppy! She sent me updates and pictures and took great care of them. She followed our care instructions and even went the extra mile to meet me for drop off and pick up. Will definitely be using her again when in the area!”

“Our pup Ranger had a great stay with Mila! He had a blast going on adventures and hanging out with Mila in her yard. We felt like he was in great hands while we were away and will definitely ask Mila to watch Ranger again when we head out of town. Thanks Mila!”
About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something that genuinely brings me so much joy. I treat every dog like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and spoiled with plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles, and care. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll give them the same love and patience I would give my own. I’d love the opportunity to become your dog’s favorite sitter and give you peace of mind while you’re away! 🐾❤️ I currently work a full-time job from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, but most of my evenings are free and weekends perfect if you need a sitter for a weekend getaways or a night out! I live on a 2 acre property and my roommate has a very friendly border collie that gets along with almost anything, I usually watch her if my roommate is out of town!
“We had a great experience working with Kristin while she cared for our dogs, Gracie and Miley. She was incredibly loving, attentive, and made sure the girls were well taken care of during our time away. From making sure they got proper exercise each day to giving their medications on schedule and meeting all their nutritional needs, she truly went above and beyond. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in a safe, caring environment. Kristin was also very sweet and easy to communicate with — we could tell she genuinely cared about our pups. We highly recommend her to any dog parents looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter!”

“We are so lucky to find Cymantha to watch our Archie. The meet/greet went well. She really knows a lot about dogs. Cymantha was helpful, replied in a timely fashion and was great to work with. Archie's overnight was successful. Definitely will contact Cymantha again, when needed. She is wonderful.”

“Shayla, Jacob, and their twins were the perfect caregivers for our dogs, Gabbi and Poppins, while we were on vacation. From the moment we dropped them off, it was clear our pups were in loving, capable hands. Shayla and Jacob kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the week. Our dogs came back happy, healthy, and completely at ease, which speaks volumes about the care they received. We couldn’t have asked for a better family to look after our furry friends. Shayla and Jacob truly treated them as part of their own family. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet-sitting experience!”

“We boarded our Dutch Spaniel, Teva, with Blair and Yohanas for three days. We appreciated that Blair suggested that we meet her and her dog Mochi at a park beforehand to confirm that the dogs would be compatible. During the stay, Blair sent videos of the dogs playing happily in the house, riding in the car and walking together. We were confident that Teva was engaged and content. Blair responded to any texts very quickly and was super easy to work with. We will be gone again for 12 days in October and will rebook with her for that time as well. We are very satisfied using Blair through Rover.”

“Angela took absolutely fabulous care of River while I was away! From chicken dinners, trips to the dog park for fetch, and even adventures downtown for pup cups. River was a happy dog and loved every minute with her. I would absolutely trust Angela again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing Rover sitter!”

About: Although I have never owned a dog myself, I have several years of experience caring for family dogs. My sister has had a dog since 2016, and my mom got a dog in 2023. I regularly help care for them when my family is out of town, including feeding them on schedule, providing fresh food and water, taking them on walks, and making sure they are safe and comfortable. While I do not have extensive pet-sitting experience, I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and caring for them with patience, love, and responsibility. I would be grateful for the opportunity to care for your furry friend and appreciate the trust you place in me. I am a full-time student during the weekdays and a mom to a 6 six year old girl who also loves dogs. I am available in the evenings to take your dog on a walk. I am also available anytime on the weekend to board your pup or to take them for walks. I make sure dogs are safe and comfortable while in my home and I let them lead their walks. I keep them on a secure leash at all times, pay attention to their surroundings, allow them time to sniff and explore, and make sure they release enough energy without getting them overtired.

About: Updated Jun ‘26 Walk availability: 9am - 6pm daily Meet & Greets: I provide a complementary 10min meet & greet. If you want a longer appointment please schedule a 30-minute “drop-in” visit and specify you want an “extended meet & greet”. I have a flexible schedule; I am a stay-at-home mom and I bring my toddlers with me in a stroller for walks. Please note that though there is fencing around the property, it is not dog-proof, so dogs who will wander or run away when outside with me off-leash will remain leashed outdoors. You can relax knowing a competent, experienced and strong person is caring for your loved one(s). I used to be a dog training assistant and have worked with hundreds of dogs! ***If it’s your first Rover booking, let me know and I’ll give you a $20 discount code.*** Last-minute bookings are welcome : ) Please let me know if I need to bring my own harness/leash.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Woodworth home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Woodworth.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Woodworth sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
