“Madelyn home sat our two puppies while we were in Europe for 2 weeks. She communicated well and ensured our dogs and home were kept safe. I would highly recommend her and will be booking with her in the future. Thanks Madelyn!”

“Alex was so wonderful with our pets! She sent us great updates each day, so we knew they were well taken care of and were in good hands while we were gone. We will definitely be asking Alex to take care of our pets again the next time we go out of town!”

“Olivia was amazing with my timid dog Millie and it was able to get her comfortable right away. Sent pictures so we could see how our babies were doing. When our pool sprung a leak too! I was so glad to find her and she even made accommodations when I realized I needed her for a day longer. So thankful for her service made my trip possible!”

“Hope did a great job watching my dog Charlie. She was communicative and gave him a lot of love and special attention. She picked up the booking with only a couple days notice (life saver) and even made time in her day to make sure to give him a walk - even walking him on the day that we got home.”

About: I’ve been a cat owner/lover since I was a child. I’ve dealt with some cat wound care & senior care. I have had about 6 years of experience with dogs. I love all animals and am great at reading their needs! I’m currently getting back into the work life after recovering from open heart surgery! I work DoorDash on the side and create my own schedule. I’m available almost everyday. I will care for your pets with the same love, respect, and attentiveness that I have for my own. I will respect your property and am very trustworthy.
About: I’ve spent years caring for my own dogs and raising animals, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and an understanding of different personalities and needs. I treat every pet like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. What sets me apart is the genuine bond I build with animals and my dedication to their happiness, whether that means playtime, walks, or simply giving them the attention they deserve. Caring for pets is already a part of my daily routine. Between feeding, walking, playtime, and keeping up with my own dogs, I’m used to giving animals structure and attention every single day. Whether it’s early morning walks or evening walks, pets are always the center of my schedule. In my home, I make sure pets have a safe, comfortable space where they feel welcomed as part of the family. I stick to regular feeding schedules, provide plenty of playtime and walks, and give lots of love and attention. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their routines as closely as possible, whether mealtime, walks, or bedtime, so pets feel secure and stress-free. My goal is to always create consistency, comfort, and trust.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was a child. In recent years, I have adopted senior dogs with serious health issues, so I am well-versed in medications and special needs. I have a rescued cuddle buddy, about a 14-year-old, 10-pound toy poodle/Maltese mix who had a hard time sharing me, so my pet care availability has changed from boarding to drop-in visits and short walks. I am able to walk dogs under 40 pounds but love all dogs and would be happy to let larger dogs out into their own fenced yard. I also love cats and enjoy doing drop-in visits and getting all the snuggles - or completely ignored, depending on your fur baby’s personality ;)

About: Hello! I have had experience pet and dog sitting since I was 15. I have taken care of animals ranging from pigeons to bunnies to dogs and cats to horses. I have experience with old and young, as well as experience with animals needing medication. I personally have three cats and a XL dog, so I am comfortable with any size critter. I work at a school so I currently do not have work during the summer. I am available all days. There maybe some days where I am out and about, but I will still be available to check on them during the day and stay with them at night. I will not be available to bring them to my home, as we have a pretty crazy house with extra critters, however I am able to stay in my clients' homes. I can easily adjust to your pet's daily schedule — whether that be daily walks, medication, or scheduled meals. Staying in your home, I am also able to do things such as collect mail, water plants, and just care for your home as well as your pet.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 16. In high school, I worked at a dog daycare for 3 years where I was a manager and handled up to 30 dogs on a daily basis. These dogs varied in breed and behavioral characteristics, and it was my responsibility to ensure they were cared for and safe. I followed strict procedures regarding meals, safety, and potty breaks. I’ve also been a go to dog-sitter for friends and family for the past 3 years, staying in their homes taking care of their pets and following the provided instructions they left for me. My tasks as a dog sitter have included feeding at designated times, playing with them, and letting them out regularly. I’m currently between jobs and have a seasonal coaching job (ends in May) so my schedule is very open except from 3-5:15 M-F due to my coaching responsibilities. My flexible schedule allows me to take care of your pups and give them the time they deserve. When taking care of your pups or kitties (for overnights or drop ins), I love being given specific care instructions to ensure that there isn’t a change in their routine. Furthermore, if house sitting, I want to know and abide by your homes rules to be respectful to your space.
“Crystal took such wonderful care of my 2 babies (cats) and provided lots of pics and video clips. I liked knowing that my fur kids were in good hands while I was away. Will definitely book again with Crystal and highly recommend her services!”

“Tanya is absolutely incredible! She is amazing!!!! She has a way with animals, highly intuitive to understanding and giving them the proper care that they need each and every pet. She treats with such attention and care that she has a way of connecting with all animals and she's also just very charismatic and friendly all around!!!!! I am absolutely grateful that I have found Tanya as a sitter and as a friend she is amazing!!!!!! 🐶🙏🥰”

“Jessie took GREAT care of our two energetic pups while we were away. We knew they were safe and loved. She also left our home neat and organized: a total pleasure to return to when we got back. Her communication is excellent! Thank you, Jessie!”

“Autumn was amazing with out 2 English setters- she handled medications wonderfully and gave them so much attention and walks! Our neighbor even commented on how great she was. Look forward to using her again!”

“Toby and Tinker did well with Theresa staying with them for 2 night, including 2 1/2 days. Theresa communicated well. She did a couple extra jobs I asked her to do, and even took her linens off the bed and washed them before we got home. This was the very first time either dog had spent the night without one of us. I would book Theresa again if she is available in the future when we might want her.”

“Brooke was an exceptional dog sitter. We have a giant 2 year old, attention seeking puppy, and Brooke went above and beyond to care for him. She not only took amazing care of our puppy, but she also left our house neat and tidy. She arrived on time and was very thorough with all of the details. We will definitely ask Brooke back to our home to care for our boy.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodward Brook walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodward Brook maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodward Brook choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodward Brook. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
