About: I live in the Sacramento Delta in a quiet neighborhood. Great neighborhood for walks and a nice fenced corner lot yard for your pup to run around in. I live with my elderly father who enjoys meeting new doggy friends. 24 hr supervision since I work remotely! I’m an early riser and enjoy morning walks. Your doggy will recieve a good amount of outdoor time and have an active and stimulating day. I’m comfortable with your dog sleeping in bed with me but respect if you prefer them to sleep in a crate. I work remotely so I have no issue staying at your house as well!
“Amanda was amazing! I felt so relieved knowing that Max was in great hands with her, she was also very knowledgeable about the French Bulldog breed which helped me feel so comfortable in her care. Aside from her care, her vibe is immaculate! Would absolutely book again!”

About: I’ve had a passion for animals since I was 10 years old. Growing up, I often brought home stray dogs and cats that needed love, care, and a safe place to stay. I’ve also helped friends, family, and neighbors by caring for their pets while they were out of town or busy with work. I always made sure their pets stayed on their normal feeding, potty, and exercise routines, and I treated every animal as if they were my own. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your furry family members. I’m reliable, responsive, and happy to provide updates while you’re away. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Your pets’ comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. I will follow their daily routine, provide plenty of playtime, exercise, love, and attention, and make sure they feel comfortable while you’re away. If your pet has any special needs, medications, or instructions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to accommodate them. In addition to caring for your pets, I’ll also help keep your home tidy and in order so you can return to a clean, stress-free environment. It would be my pleasure to care for your pets and give you peace of mind while you’re away, knowing they’re in loving and capable hands.
“Tim was awesome! Came over to my house several times to meet my dogs and took time to understand their routine. On his drop in he kept me updated with what was going on and kept me updated with what was happening! Even sent me a few photos! Would totally recommend him and use him again!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and spent the past year interning at Front Street Animal Shelter, where I gained hands on experience caring for dogs and learning more about animal behavior, safety, and daily care routines. During my internship, I worked with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, which helped me become patient, attentive, and comfortable handling pets with different needs. I’m passionate about providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I have an extremely flexible schedule, as I primarily work closing shifts at Chipotle. This allows me to be available from mornings through late afternoons on most days, making it easy for me to provide consistent, reliable care for pets. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet in my care. I always follow the owner's instructions closely and make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and secure at all times. My experience at an animal shelter has taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly in different situations, and create a low-stress environment for pets of all personalities. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to build trust with both pets and their owners through reliable, attentive care.
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and my major responsibilities started at about 8 years old. I aided my own senior dog with her health issues as well as my neighbors dog who requires extra medical attention. I am well-versed in dog-breeds and the nature of these animals. I love all dogs and have always been the dog-walker for my neighborhood. I have experience with puppies and am comfortable with large dog breeds. This will most likely be my main job, as I am a university student returning home for the summer. I am super flexible schedule wise and can easily meet any expectations. I have a fenced yard and my own dog who is 10000% dog-friendly. I am used to crate-trained dogs as well as those who may need to be restricted in the house. They will have my full attention no matter the environment to ensure they are well taken care of.
“Very kind and communicative! Stayed with our pups in a hotel while we went to a family wedding. Felt very confident leaving our semi anxious dogs in her care. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi there, welcome to my Profile! :) Ever since I was a child, I've been extremely passionate about pets. I grew up caring for dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, and even goats. I even helped my cat birth a litter of kittens right in my very own bedroom when I was in fourth grade. I have experience with senior-pets, administering medication, bottle-feeding, and even crate-training. Animals aren't able to verbally express their needs like us, so experience is necessary in order to figure out what each one needs to live a happy life. I've translated this experience into my job working with special needs children and adults. I'm extremely patient, caring, and passionate about making a positive impact on the world. I hope you entrust me with the care of your pet! I'm currently working part-time at a second job and have a great amount of free time! I'm available seven days a week, times will change weekly. I'm extremely flexible and able to work with different schedules! I have a fenced yard including a fence surrounding my in-ground pool. Pictures can be provided if necessary! I have a medium-sized backyard including a grass area for potty breaks.
About: I've been housesitting since 2010, mainly cats and dogs. Multi-pet houses don't bother me and I'm good at keeping with your fur kids' schedules. I have and RVT license that is current and have been an RVT for over 10 years. I took a break from housesitting to work at animal hospitals, including a 24-hour critical care hospital in the ICU. Medications and medical treatments are no problem for me. I have an open schedule and am comfortable with either staying at your home for your pet's comfort, or I can visit everyday to make sure they are cared for. I adjust to their wants and needs and stick to their schedule. I'm low stress and understand that sometimes pets just need to warm up to you. As for my personal pets, there's four cats with totally different personalities that run the house (I just live there).
About: Hi! My name is Liz. I recently re-downloaded Rover after being away for a few years, and I’m excited to start pet sitting again through Rover. I’m a college graduate with years of experience caring for pets through my mom’s Rover account, along with ongoing cat sitting jobs and trusted repeat clients. I’m known for being a great communicator, dependable, and attentive to both pets and owners. I offer house sitting, drop-ins, walks, overnight care, and can also help with light household tasks like bringing in mail/packages, watering plants, pulling trash cans in or out, and keeping your home tidy while you’re away. I especially love caring for senior pets and pets who do best staying in the comfort of their own home. I understand every animal has different needs, personalities, and routines, and I always try to make them feel safe and comfortable while you’re gone. For overnight stays, my fiancé may occasionally accompany me for safety and comfort purposes, but your pet’s care and respect for your home always come first. I’m happy to communicate openly beforehand so everyone feels comfortable and confident. Feel free to message me anytime with questions. I respond quickly and would love to see if we’re a good fit for you and your pets! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I currently have a very flexible schedule during the week. Outside of pet sitting, I spend my time applying to jobs in clinical research, running errands, doing chores, and meeting with friends, which gives me plenty of availability and flexibility for drop-ins, walks, overnight stays, and last-minute bookings. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for pets never feels like a chore to me. I’m very attentive with feeding schedules, playtime, walks, litter box cleaning, medications if needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. At this time, I only offer care in my client’s home because I have an anxious 9-year-old tabby cat at home, and I want to keep his environment calm and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. For overnight stays, I usually stay in the guest room or designated area of the home, and many pets enjoy sleeping nearby or spending time with me throughout the day. I’m very respectful of your home and prioritize cleanliness, safety, and communication. I make sure doors are securely locked, pets are supervised carefully, and feeding, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and potty breaks are handled consistently. I also pay close attention to your pet’s behavior and comfort level to help reduce stress and keep them happy during your absence. My goal is always to create a calm, trustworthy, and loving environment where both you and your pets feel comfortable and cared for.
About: I’ve been bossing the dog-sitting game since I was a kid—always had at least three pups of my own, and I’m the go-to for family and friends when they need a sitter. I don’t just watch dogs I treat them like the VIPs they are. Your fur baby’s not just in good hands, they’re in the best hands. I also used to have a dog named brownie that was diabetic that needed insulin night and morning so I also have that experience. I currently have a job that is part time I work at a restaurant on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 430 to 9 to 9:30 unless I get called in, which is hardly rarely I am available to do house checks walk dogs and house sit but I’m only able to housesit for only three days at a time. I make sure every animal in my care is safe and comfortable by providing secure, supervised walks and a calm environment—whether at their home or out on a walk. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs, keeping them away from hazards and making sure they get plenty of exercise and love. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, always.
About: I have 5years working experience with both large and small domestic/captive animals. This, along with my education at UCD, has helped me gain utmost confidence in reading an animal’s body language and behaving in ways they can be comfortable with me. I am a big fan of enrichment, so I am all for anything you’re willing to try for your pet that can get their minds stimulated! I’m detail oriented and skilled at maintaining whatever level of energy your pet needs. I’m currently working full time at a farm animal sanctuary and have the flexibility to walk or drop in on your pup between 6a-11a and from 9p-overnight as needed I have a 1bed apartment and a friendly golden that is trained to be around reactive dogs. I love to visit nearby parks and green belts, so rest assured your pet will have the sniff of a lifetime!
“Can't recommend Esmerilda enough and would rebook with her without hesitation. She cared for my cats while away and provided the best, most detailed updates.EVER. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,671 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Woodward. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodward. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
