Lauren was great with Nova, who was only a week out from spaying and needed to be kept (relatively) calm. It was nice not having to worry about her and could be fully present at my kid’s swim meet.

About: Hey! My name is Conan and Im a veterinary medicine student. I love working with animals of all types and sizes and I'd love to meet your friend! I have experience fostering and volunteering at animal shelters, including everything from dogs, cats, bottle-fed babies, elderly kitties, reptiles, ducks, chickens, special-needs dogs/cats, and birds. I have a few years of experience dog walking and I have house sat for people with all different pets & for varying amounts of time. I also have two cats (North age 8 & Marcel age 4) and a leopard gecko (Sandwich age 3) of my own! They are my best friends and whole world. I'm currently on break from Veterinary School until the fall. So right now I have completely open availability, any day or time, including nights, weekends, and holidays! Your pet's safety is a non negotiable for me, it is so important to me that your pet feels comfortable with me no matter what we're doing. Establishing a bond with an animal can be the most rewarding experience in the world! When talking about safety with any pet, I take a precautious approach with anything that could become an 'oops!' or a 'hey you, get that out of your mouth!' moment. So I will always take precautions with anything being left out unmonitored like toys, food, anything chewable, stringy, or soft toys, etc. I never want to have to think twice about a preventable accident with your pet, so I always take the time to keep everyone safe. This goes especially for walks, your dog or cat's safety is always going to be at the front of my mind when interacting with any other furry friends nearby, as it is always better to be safe than sorry. Every pet needs a different relationship approach, and different play styles! There are some pets who just want to cuddle, ones who need specific play-styles to be interested, and others who need someone up to the task of frizbee-ing the Tasmanian Devil out of them! I know personally one of my cats only wants to lazily swat at one specific toy he keeps losing, and the other wants to run and leap around for 20 minutes straight. I am dedicated to learning what your pet really likes so they have a great time with me, and you can go to work, over a friends, or on vacation without a worry that they living their best life.

We were very pleased having Chris here at our home to watch our Corgi Mickey. Mickey wasn’t feeling his best and Chris kept us well informed and sent photos of Mickey to reassure us that all was well. We plan to have her come again the next time we need to go out for a long period of time. Chris was awesome!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs, both big and small, practically my whole life! I know how to be patient with them and I love to explore their fun-loving personalities! Aside from personal appointments and family commitments I have a pretty open schedule, I love spending time with animals so the more time the better! I always make sure the pet is watched in an enclosed area and pay close attention to their body language to ensure they are comfortable and not anxious or overwhelmed.

We could not have been happier with Terry as our sitter! She was great at sending updates every morning and our dog seemed to be very happy spending time with her. He is also extremely picky when it comes to new people but Terry was great with him! We were very nervous as this was the first time we left him with a sitter for an extended period of time but Terry did a wonderful job to ease our nerves. It's also a huge plus that she can work from home as well so your pet will get full time care with her. She also left the house spotlessly clean and in pristine condition and was kind enough to leave us with gifts as well! 5 stars all around and we highly recommend her!!!

Mine was perfect on his stay. He got back to us quickly when it was time to book. He was a calm and collected guy, exactly who you want with three dogs ranging in age from 11 years to 8 months. He sent us plenty of pictures and had no problem staying at our house. Our puppies were happy and healthy when we got home and we definitely plan on using him again for any future plans.

About: I have cared for animals the majority of my life. In a personal as well as professional capacity. Previously, I worked for a dog daycare/boarding facility in northern Virginia which allowed me to work with dogs of different sizes and temperament. I have volunteered on and off over the years at various shelters and ranches. I currently have a certificate of completion to be a Veterinary Assistant and am looking forward to continuing my education in animal care. I work full time from home which allows me the freedom to care for my own fur babies without issue. My evenings and weekends leave me open to care for your fur babies! I have a large non-fenced backyard with a 100’ dog lead. I do supervise while my dog is on the lead to ensure their safety.

Jenni and Matt are the best! Our dog is very old (16), takes daily meds and gets stressed out very easily. Jenni and Matt took great care of him and sent tons of updates and pics while we were away, which made me stress a whole lot less as well! Thank you both!

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors, friends, and family pets, ranging from cats to dogs. I took care of my dog Stella, and she was my best friend. I am available in the mornings and evenings on weekdays and weekends to stop by and take care of/spend time with your fur babies :) My dog Stella was house-trained, but we let her outside to run around and for fresh air. We took her on walks in the park as well.

I can't recommend Leticia enough! She house sat for us and from the moment she arrived, she kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. She took my dog on daily walks, spent time at the park with him, and made sure he got plenty of playtime. He even got to play with her dog, which he absolutely loved! She followed all my instructions perfectly and clearly treated him like he was her own dog. My dog can be pretty reactive with new people, but he warmed up to Leticia extremely quickly. Honestly, I'm pretty sure he loves her more than me now! If you're looking for someone who will genuinely care for your pup and keep them active and happy, she's the one. I'll definitely be booking with her again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Woodstown

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Woodstown on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 4,754 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Woodstown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodstown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodstown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodstown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodstown. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
