About: I have a dog loving family who spoil our Golden Retriever, Bandit, and a kitten, Onyx. I live in a home in Bowie with a fenced yard, close to a dog park and a community park with a pond and bike path. I've loved dogs since childhood, and I will treat your beloved pet like they're my own. I am very generous with treats and I also let guests on the sofa/Lovesac - thank goodness for washable covers! NOTE: I will now charge an extra $10 flat fee for guests dropped off before 7am. Also please try to be as accurate with drop off and pick up times so I can plan around them. I will charge extra $5 per hour in cash beginning 2 hours after the times listed when reservation is made. I typically walk my Bandit and guests twice a day, sometimes more when the weather is especially nice. Occasionally overlaps of bookings will happen and I would need to walk multiple guests separately depending on their size and tendency to pull. More walks mean shorter walks so I can fit them all within my workday. But on very nice days, I indulge my guests on longer walks in the afternoon. I accept mostly boarding at my home at this time. I can accept some guests for day care on case by case basis. I do require meet and greets for all new guests. I have a fenced yard where my guests can run around and play. My guests also have freedom to wander in any part of my home, and generally welcome on my couch like my own pets. My kitchen can be closed off if needed, and this helps during mealtime. If your fur baby needs medication, I'm experienced in administering oral and topical medications.

“I feel like I struck gold when I found Rita— she dropped in daily for 3 weeks to take care of my three skittish cats while I had to unexpectedly spend time in the hospital. Through the Rover app she was able to communicate daily about her visits while providing pictures or video through face time. She was dependable, reliable and caring — she even brought a special cat toy from home to build rapport with these shy cats. I appreciated her going the extra mile and her assistance to me. I got to recover rather than worry about the cats — what a gift! I will always request her in future and recommend her and Rover to others.”

I am a 15 year turtle parent as well which has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and attention to detail, skills that I would apply to all pets that I care for. I’m a teacher with open availability during the summer, so I’ll have plenty of time to dedicate to your animal! During the school-year, I will be free after 3pm on weekdays and before 7pm on weekends. When caring for pets in clients’ homes, I follow their routine closely, feeding, walking, playtime, and litter cleaning, while providing calm companionship. I also keep owners updated regularly with pictures, videos, or messages to ensure peace of mind and tailor care to each pet’s needs.

About: Hello! I'm a huge animal lover, who works from home. I have had pets since I was a child and love getting to spend my days with them. I currently have a 3 year old dog named Benny, who loves to run, play, and nap. Benny loves company as my ten year old cat, Boo, is sweet but tends to keep to herself. Im home with my 2 year old daughter who also loves animals. If your fur babies are human baby, and cat friendly, we would love to meet them! I have time to be attentive, play, and cuddle them up while you are gone. I have a large fenced in yard great for fetch and running. If you approve your pups can access the yard as they please through a doggie door. When the weather is nice I can provide a doggie pool and little jumping courses. I love my animals deeply, and I know what it is like to intrust them to someone else. I send texts and pictures and you can text as much as you need. There is no such thing as too many instructions. They are your babies and I want you to feel comfortable knowing your cherished family members are safe and happy. I'm here all day. I usually do one activity away from the home per day like a park, for just an hour, but other than that I’m home and can play as much or little as they like I do a meet and greet prior to booking to make sure your pup feels comfortable and enjoys being around my daughter, dog and cat.
