“I was skeptical to use Rover, but I had to make last-minute travel plans and my regular pet sitter was unavailable so I decided to give it a try. I was also afraid that nobody was going to want to take care of my eight dogs (mostly senior and special needs) and one cat. I contacted Amber and described all of my pets and their special needs, and she was up for the challenge. She even shared pictures and stories of her own babies to make me feel more at ease. Leaving six dogs over the age of 12, two special needs Frenchies (one deaf and one paralyzed), and one 17-year-old cat in the care of a stranger was very difficult for me to do. Upon meeting Amber, however, I was quickly put at ease. My animals immediately took to her and I could tell she was a kind, calm, gentle soul, which made leaving them easier. Amber handled all of my babies with extreme care and even read and followed my many, many pages of instructions. When she had questions, she texted or called me just like I asked. She took on the challenge of my paralyzed Frenchie like a pro - and it's not an easy job. She had to express her bladder every several hours, change her diaper, give her baths, carry her around, and give her lots of snuggles! She administered medications to my animals and gave them the various types of different food they eat. I came home to a happy, healthy crew of animals - and a new friend! I'm so happy I chose Amber and that she "chose" us. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her again!”

About: Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am a middle school educator. Outside of teaching and working with students, I have a huge love for dogs. I have three family dogs, two girls and one boy, and I truly enjoy each of their unique personalities. Funny enough, my boy dog’s birthday is the day before mine, so I always joke that we have the same personality! I have always been the type of person who instantly notices dogs wherever I go. Whether I’m walking around town or traveling on vacation, I’m usually the one saying, “Oh my gosh, look at that dog! I want to go pet them!” I even find myself feeling emotional when I see stray dogs because I wish every dog had a loving home. Animals bring so much joy, and being around dogs has always been something that makes me genuinely happy. I am currently a school teacher, so during summer break I have open availability and more flexibility to provide pet care throughout the day. Once the school year begins, my availability will mainly be during evenings throughout the week and on weekends. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, so I do my best to follow the care instructions provided by their owner. About: I’ve taken care of an array of dogs since I was a child. Calm, engaged, and fun dog mom. Teacher full time needing a summer gig. I currently work full time as a middle school teacher. I want something to fill my time over the summer. What better way to do it than with animals? My current dog care happens in the morning and afternoon/evening. I currently have open availability aside from a few pre-planned activities. I have a large unfenced yard. I have an older spayed female chipoo that is friendly with other dogs. She is on a set routine which includes going outside multiple times a day, meals twice a day, play time, plus more. I regularly clean the bottom, paws, face, etc. to ensure things are always fresh and clean.
