About: Hi! I’m Steph — a full-time pet caregiver through Rover and the heart behind a growing pet photography business. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve been pet sitting since I was 13 and have experience with all kinds of animals, from high-energy pups to quiet companions. About: I've been a pet owner since I was a child. In our 40+ year marriage, my wife and I have owned two Maltese, two Shelties, and two Shih Tzus. Each pair simultaneously. Intermittently during the last four decades, we have also owned cats. In addition, I took care of our daughter's Labrador mix for a year while she studied in Europe. And now, I fly to Austin, Texas when she vacations to care for her Great Pyrenees, a Chihuahua mix, and a cat. I currently manage the remnants of a company I founded from my basement office. My work typically occupies less than an hour daily and can be done outside regular business hours, so my pet care schedule is very flexible. I regularly walk our Shih Tzus around the neighborhood and, weather permitting, take them to a nearby dog park. I also play Fetch with them in the house and give them daily massages. I usually take one of the dogs with me when I run errands in the car.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
