“Christine is the best! We were gone for 6 days, and she handled all of our dogs quirky and lovable obsessions. Also we had an unusual home and yard issue which she helped us with. House was just like we left it but, “a much happier place when we returned. A lot of dog loving going on. Jinx , our 16 yr old border collie told us she will miss her until the next time.”

“A couple of days after being home, our doodles seemed to not feel well. Over the course of the next week, we have had 1 doodle vomit 3 different items, two being socks. This morning, we found a sock on the other doodle's poop. We emphasized their tendencies to eat things, and the importance of watching them closely because of this. Kaitlin did medicate everyone as asked, and other to dos around the house were taken care of. However, she did not scoop the dog poop in the back yard, though, and we received pictures rather infrequently during our vacation. We were planning to use her again with better communication on our part, but after the multiple foreign objects and sick doodles, we can't risk it.”

I currently work full-time at a restaurant, which allows me a flexible schedule to accommodate your pet’s needs. Additionally, I am a full-time college student starting August 25th. I’m happy to discuss and adjust minor scheduling details as needed to ensure the best care for your pets. When I care for pets at their homes, I make sure they stick to their routine and feel right at home. That means plenty of playtime, belly rubs, and lots of love. I take dogs on walks to keep them active and happy, and for cats, I keep the litter box clean and fresh. I also handle feeding, watering, and tidying up, plus I send regular updates with photos so you can relax knowing your pet’s in good hands.

About: I am a professional interdisciplinary artist who has worked and volunteered in the animal welfare field for over 30 years. I’ve worked as a vet-tech and kennel tech in shelters, as well as smaller clinics and rescues in Massachusetts and Texas. I grew up in a household with multiple cats and dogs. I am an advocate for bully breeds, and have owned pit bulls and pit mixes through much of my adult life. I treat all cats, dogs, exotics and other animals with utmost care, love, compassion, and patience, regardless of size, breed, and behavior. I am willing to do pick-up and drop-offs should you decide to board at my place and don’t want to drive all the way to Wimberley (for cats, small and medium sized dogs only). I have a clean driving record and am fully insured. I appreciate you giving me an opportunity to care for your furry kiddos, and look forward to it. Because I work from home I have a lot of flexibility for pet care. During boardings I stay home so you needn’t worry about your pets being left unattended. I live in a spacious, 2-bedroom home , on 10 fenced acres in Wimberley. I am self-employed and work from home when I’m not doing Rover appointments. If you choose to board your pet at my place I WILL stay home, so your dogs or cats will never be left unattended. I’m very tidy and do not leave anything laying around that could be a potential hazard for your fur babies. I have 2 large dog beds which I wash between uses. Cats can lounge wherever they’d like. I have excellent heat and AC. I also have a variety of toys for cats and dogs (which also get washed and sanitized), and keep a variety of healthy snacks and (rawhide-free) chews on hand, food and water bowls, as well as a couple litter boxes (litter choice is up to you). I also have a variety of harnesses (currently only for medium and large breed dogs) leads, and dog seat belts, clip-on lights for night walks. If you prefer your pet be crated while here you will need to supply the crate. ** Photos of house and interior upon request.
