“Joining in on all the great reviews for Heather. She stayed with our two pups for two weeks while we were on vacation. Her care for our dogs allowed us to relax and not worry about home. It's a bonus to have someone who will do overnights and be a house sitter as well. Thank you Heather, so much!”

“Matthew took good care of our very large, reactive dog while we were away. He sent us photos daily and was good at communicating if he had any questions. We will definitely be asking Matthew to watch our pup next time we go away.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Sabrina. She took great care of our dogs while we were away for the week and sent daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was thorough with communications, messages, and picture updates for the 5 days we were away, she was very affectionate to our dogs, spent lots of time keeping our dogs and cat company, and kept good watch over our home. “Brad did a fantastic job caring for our senior Greyhound in our home during an international trip. He was communicative, responsive, and asked questions when needed to ensure he was providing the best care for our girl. I’m very grateful that Brad’s professionalism allowed us to have a worry-free vacation! And a bonus- the house looks even better than when we left it.”
“Gavin dropped in on my pup who is post-surgery and needs to be kept quiet. She loved Gavin! He sent several photos and descriptive updates, which I always appreciate from sitters, and especially appreciated for this visit. We also have shy cats who came around to him. Will definitely book again!”

About: Hi,I’m Julia and just retired from my job of 31 years in a Dental office as an assistant.I was looking for something totally different to do with my free time now.I put 50 years because I’ve always been around animals since a young age.We had 2 beagles when I was growing up and after I married went on to have an English Setter,Doberman pinscher and later Chihuahua mix.I have also had cats.I just got done watching a coworkers 2 dogs on March 28th and now going to watch my nieces 3 cats for a week.Which had me think about doing this with others. They will be cared for with love to you get back.Julia I am retired and can be available with a day notice, for just days or overnight in your house.I would need to meet and greet beforehand. I will be watching pets in the clients house where it stays familiar for them.I will follow instructions given in taking care of your pet.
“Nina was great !!!! She kept us informed every day with emails & pics as to how our dogs were doing. They really seemed to enjoy each other and we would recommend Nina to watch your pets.”

About: I grew up with rabbits and various small pets. My first dog, Toto, was trained by me in elementary and middle school. Now, I spend my evenings caring for others animals whenever possible! I work 7:30 am to 3 pm as a teacher! My day does allow for a mid day visit, distance depending! Free every evening for walks and lots of attention! Experienced with crate trained dogs and more free range styles. Love building trust with animals and keeping their days typical and calm while their owners are away!
“Dylan did a great job with our dog. It was a last minute booking, and Dylan really saved the day. He was accommodating, great with communication, and did a great job introducing himself to our pup (our dog is actually 12 years old and has a lot of separation anxiety). Dylan also sent us a number of photos while he was watching our dod to let us know he was doing great. We highly recommend Dylan.”

“Lillie did a great job with her drop in and overnight visit with our Lexi. She is a very conscientious individual who kept us well Informed of everything that was happening while we were away. We felt extremely comfortable with her caring for our 15 year old cockapoo while we were away and we definitely will use her again in the future. Beth”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodbine
We had a wonderful experience with Leslie. She watched both our dog and cat, sent us frequent updates and photos, implemented each pets feeding and care schedule and still found time to pet and play with them! She provided us with peace of mind while we were on vacation and we look forward to using her again in the future.
Finding someone to take care of our sweet Maggie while we are away has always been a source of stress for me. Boarding especially was not an option for us due to the high level of stress it causes our girl, not to mention she doesn’t always get along with unfamiliar dogs. We knew we wanted to get a sitter this year who could come to the house and stay overnight with her to ease her anxiety while we were away on vacation. I am so so happy we came across Noelle’s profile! Maggie, who can sometimes be skittish with new people, took to Noelle IMMEDIATELY! Our meet and greet went wonderfully and we knew that Maggie would be in great hands while we were away! Noelle was attentive and provided us with daily updates, pictures, and videos. She even helped us out with collecting our mail, watering our flowers, and taking care of the trash! She truly went above and beyond. Most importantly, I felt confident Maggie was safe and happy in Noelle’s care. We already booked her for an extended weekend away we have coming up in a couple of months! The stress of finding appropriate care for Maggie while we are away has now vanished. We truly give Noelle our highest recommendation! Don’t hesitate - book her!

I and my dog Mosquito couldn't have been happier with Nina. I was traveling for two weeks and this was the first time Mosquito and I would be separated. He is a rescue and has separation anxiety but not with Nina's company and dog/house sitting services. The transition for him was seamless. Highly recommended!

We were lucky to have Joy care for our small dog, Holly, in our home for about 8 days. She was great about keeping us updated on Holly and about things going on at our house. Our house was very neat and clean when we returned, which was so nice after a long trip! We would love to have Joy watch Holly again and would recommend her to anyone who needs care for their pet.

Joining in on all the great reviews for Heather. She stayed with our two pups for two weeks while we were on vacation. Her care for our dogs allowed us to relax and not worry about home. It's a bonus to have someone who will do overnights and be a house sitter as well. Thank you Heather, so much!

Stephanie was did a wonderful job taking Clara on her long walks and sent lots of pictures. The house was in perfect shape when we returned and we had peace of mind that our dog was well cared for on our first trip away from her. We will definitely book her again.

Gavin dropped in on my pup who is post-surgery and needs to be kept quiet. She loved Gavin! He sent several photos and descriptive updates, which I always appreciate from sitters, and especially appreciated for this visit. We also have shy cats who came around to him. Will definitely book again!

Bobbi was 1000% amazing! She was very communicative and put us at ease while we were away knowing our pups were so well cared for all the time. Bobbi sent several photos and took great care of our home. Bobbi left a daily record of events. Our pups were clearly cared for and we will definitely trust Bobbi again! I would give her 10 stars if I could!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Woodbine on Rover is $53.28 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodbine walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodbine maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodbine choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodbine. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
