Pet care experience

PhD student for pet sitting!

I started dog and cat sitting this summer using TrustedHousesitters and so far have really enjoyed getting to take care of people’s pets! If you are curious to see my reviews there, I would be happy to send you a link to my profile. Before this summer, I had pet sat before via drop-in visits, starting while I was in college. During the school year, I foster cats for a local foster agency (Project Meow). While I don't have experience fostering dogs, I did grow up in a household with two dogs, and I love being around dogs as well. I often do my research from home, which means I am generally available for drop in visits and dog walking visits throughout the week. I also LOVE to walk and run, so am happy to provide LONG walks to your dogs! It’s a bonus if they can accompany me on a run!

House Sitting • Mar 02, 2026

Stephanie was did a wonderful job taking Clara on her long walks and sent lots of pictures. The house was in perfect shape when we returned and we had peace of mind that our dog was well cared for on our first trip away from her. We will definitely book her again.

Stephanie is exactly the person I was hoping for with my dog walking needs - communicative, punctual, and caring. I trusted my dog with her and would recommend her services to anyone in need of a reliable walker/sitter!

Schedule

I’m a PhD student and all my research is conducted remotely. This means I have plenty of time to play with, cuddle with, and walk your pets. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, I do have classes which will keep me out of the house for about 4 hours.

Safety, trust & environment

I take your pet’s health and care extremely seriously. I am dedicated to ensuring that your pets are comfortable at all times, and prefer to have a phone call/meet and greet before agreeing to a sit so I can understand just what kind of care your pet needs.

Pets

A typical day

It’s important to me that your pets have a great time when they’re with me. When pet sitting, this means I will find lots of time to play with, cuddle, and walk your pet. If obedience training is part of your pet’s routine, I will also make sure to keep up that practice. If your dog needs long walks (4+ miles a day), I am happy to provide that!
