Deanna was an absolute gem as my dog sitter. My dog, Koji, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She is a truly kind and wonderful person who provided thoughtful, gentle, and loving care to my senior dog. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Koji was in such capable and compassionate hands. I wholeheartedly recommend Deanna’s services.

About: Grew up with a senior dog as well as sitting for all of my neighbors. Experience with all equipment (harnesses, leaders, muzzles, etc.) Available 24/7 for whatever care you need, want to make everyone happy and comfortable! :) I just graduated from Fordham in May and am fully remote for my internship this summer, so I am around all the time for whatever needs you and your family might have! When house sitting, I can stay in your home full-time if necessary to keep your dog's routine as normal as possible. I follow your feeding schedule, walk schedule, and any specific instructions you leave, I believe consistency is key to keeping dogs calm and comfortable while you're away. I'm attentive to your dog's behavior and energy levels throughout the day, and I make sure they're getting enough activity, stimulation, and rest. I'm comfortable with all walking equipment including harnesses, gentle leaders, and muzzles, and always keep dogs secure on leash. I treat your home with the same respect I'd want for my own. I send regular photo updates throughout the stay so you're never left wondering how your pup is doing. I'm happy to accommodate any special needs, medications, dietary restrictions, or quirks — just let me know what your dog needs and I'll make it happen.

Mike was prompt and so patient with my granddog. Cash wasn’t cooperating and was very anxious, but Mike was willing to spend more time getting the dog to feel more comfortable. I really appreciated his effort. I would definitely use Mike again

About: I am as reliable, flexible, and obsessed with animals as they come! Having grown up helping my parents with their petsitting business, I am experienced and familiar with the ins and outs of caring for other people's pets and homes. I also have three cats of my own who are the loves of my life, and have lived with several wonderful dogs over the years. As a long time Rover user, I know all too well how important it is for a sitter to send timely, thoughtful, and detailed updates after each visit. I strive to provide the same level of communication that I'd hope to receive about my own pets because I know how much this helps put your mind at ease while you're away. In addition to the services listed on my profile, I'm eager to help out in other ways that you might need - watering plants, receiving packages/bringing in the mail, etc. I'm happy to discuss this in more detail if there's anything else I can do for you. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! :) I care for pets full-time, which allows me to be adaptable to other people's varying schedules when needed. Plans change, and things happen! We'll make it work. The flexibility in my schedule allows me to accommodate last minute bookings under most circumstances. I currently cannot care for pets in my home, as I unfortunately do not have the space needed to provide this service to customers right now.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for many years and grew up with dogs and have a dog. I treat them as my own and am a helicopter mom when it comes to looking out for them every step of the way. I communicate and give all the updates and make sure your furbabies are all set and good before I leave for my next walk. Safety and care is my number one priority. I’m currently available on Friday's but hoping to be available Monday to Friday. I’m currently working but looking to making walking a full time job. I make sure each dog I visit has a good walk and does their business. Seeing they have enough water before I go or if they need breakfast or lunch. I give them lots of cuddles and go by their pace on what they need.

About: Hi! I’m Shauna, and I’ve been caring for pets through Rover for about six years. My boyfriend, Nixley, is my helping hand, so it may be me, him, or both of us caring for your fur babies! We have one dog, two cats, and a rabbit of our own, so we’re definitely a house full of animals - and we love it that way! We’ve cared for all kinds of pets, from puppies with tons of energy to older animals who just want some love and a comfy place to relax. We also understand rescue animals and anxious pets who may need a little more patience and time to feel comfortable. We’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and give them all the walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention they want. We know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so we’ll always send updates and make sure you know they’re happy and safe. Your pets will be treated like they’re our own - and they’ll definitely be spoiled! 🐾❤️ We have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet all the love and attention they deserve! We work as a team to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and always well cared for. We treat every pet like they’re our own and always follow their usual routine and care instructions. We keep a close eye on them, provide a clean and comfortable environment, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. We’re also happy to send plenty of pictures and updates while you’re away!

Margo did an awesome job with Penny! She kept me updated and sent pictures everyday! I knew talking with Margo that she will be good with Penny in helping her training. She also sent me an article on one of my house plants that is poisonous to dogs! I had no idea ? I recommended her to all my friends and I have already booked Margo for another week ☺️?

About: I've had at least one dog in my house since I was in first grade. My first dog is no longer with us however, I currently have a 9-year-old black lab and a 7-month-old silver lab. My dogs love to go on hiking trails, and with your permission, I can also take your dog to new locations. I unfortunately don't have experience with other people's dogs except for friends and family. I'm currently working part-time, so I'm very flexible with times. I will put my dogs' needs first, however, making sure I have time to give them the exercise and attention they deserve. My dogs are my best friends. I always show love and respect towards them. I also understand how a dog's life can be boring sometimes. Giving them a new environment to sniff out creates a happy and exhausted pup. I try to take my older dog on a new walk/hike every week to give them an adventure and something to look forward to. I'm hoping to provide the same for your dogs. I am also a runner, so I wouldn't mind running alongside your dog. Walking/hiking/running, whatever you prefer.

About: I’m a 41 year old professional who loves animals. I have a 4 year old cat of my own and have always wanted a puppy as a child. Animals are loving and calming to me. I help care for them they help me. I will dog walk which keeps them happy and me active. I will drop in on cats and dogs to feed play with and help go to the bathroom. If it’s the right fit for your family and pup I would stay 1 night a week and definitely weekends overnight while people are away or traveling. I am an open communicator, reliable, respectful, trustworthy professional. Please get to know me so I can get to know you and your animal has the best experience possible. I currently have lots of availability and I would be my pleasure to walk and check in for your pups and cats several times a week. I have a yard on a dead end street, a big basement and am very close to Wilcox Park, ready for long walks in great neighborhood with lots to explore.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Wood River Junction. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Wood River Junction.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wood River Junction. On Rover:

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
