Deanna was an absolute gem as my dog sitter. My dog, Koji, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She is a truly kind and wonderful person who provided thoughtful, gentle, and loving care to my senior dog. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Koji was in such capable and compassionate hands. I wholeheartedly recommend Deanna’s services.

Shannon took great care of our two rowdy boys! Our dogs are big and she handled them great. She made sure they had water food and treats before she left too. Highly recommend and will be contacting her again!

About: My family and I have fostered dogs and cats, and litters of puppies and kittens since I was nine years old. Being homeschooled for a majority of my childhood, I was able to learn about taking care of these needy animals at such a young age. We have fostered dogs and cats of almost all ages, from newborns to adults. Even during the years, my family and I fostered these animals, I’ve had multiple neighbors at a time rely on me to visit and walk their dogs while they’re at work. That is how I got my first job at 11 years old. I’m out of school for the summer, so I am free practically whenever your pups need me! I can drop in/walk daily or weekly, whatever works for you! With my school and work schedule and the living situation I’m in, I don’t currently offer boarding services, but that may change in the future!

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for many years and grew up with dogs and have a dog. I treat them as my own and am a helicopter mom when it comes to looking out for them every step of the way. I communicate and give all the updates and make sure your furbabies are all set and good before I leave for my next walk. Safety and care is my number one priority. I’m currently available on Friday's but hoping to be available Monday to Friday. I’m currently working but looking to making walking a full time job. I make sure each dog I visit has a good walk and does their business. Seeing they have enough water before I go or if they need breakfast or lunch. I give them lots of cuddles and go by their pace on what they need.

Rich was incredible. Definitely helped me in a pinch with my dog Goomba! He was very responsive and loved all the pictures of my pup with him on their walk. Would certainly use him again in the future and highly recommend. For all kinds of dogs, sometimes can be tough finding your pet as much as you do but Rich certainly has a big affinity for dogs which makes you rest easy while he’s with your pup.

About: I’ve been caring for and walking dogs in my neighborhood for many years and have always loved being around animals. I’ve had two dogs of my own over the years, so I understand how important it is to give pets plenty of attention, care, and love. Dogs are definitely my favorite animals, and I truly enjoy spending time with furry friends! I’m currently working part time as a server. I am available all day sunday and mondays and all mornings and most nights. I’m very flexible! I have a very nice neighborhood and a friendly dog who loves other puppies. and a very friendly kitty that stays out of the way when needed.

About: Hi, I’m Clara! Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments—from tiny parrots to towering horses—and I’m confident handling everything in between. I have experience with: • Puppies and young dogs (training, socialization, and lots of patience!) • Caring for a dog with frequent seizures and special health needs • Working at a large dog rescue in Mexico, rehabilitating street dogs with behavioral and medical issues of all sizes • Administering oral medications and following detailed care instructions • Senior pet care with extra attention and gentleness (my dog is epileptic so I know how to administer all seizure meds and the full protocol) • Basic training and reinforcing good behavior • Horse care from years of working in barns (feeding, grooming, handling) • Volunteering for a year at a parrot rescue, learning about specialized bird care I’m active and outdoorsy, so I love taking energetic dogs for runs, hikes, or long walks—but I’m just as happy giving older or calmer pets plenty of snuggles. Safety, compassion, and keeping your pets happy are my top priorities, and I’ll always send plenty of photo updates while you’re away. I’m currently completely open and very flexible with scheduling. I’m not working another job right now, so I can adjust to your pet’s exact needs—whether that’s early mornings, late nights, or last-minute bookings. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. In my home, pets must be friendly with other dogs, as I have my own, and everyone’s well-being is a top priority. We have a fully fenced yard for safe play and fresh air, and I love going on regular walks to keep pets happy and healthy. I’m very routine-oriented, so I’ll follow your pet’s feeding, exercise, and care schedule exactly as you request—whether in my home or yours. I make sure each animal feels secure, loved, and stress-free, with plenty of supervision, enrichment, and affection.

I have part of my yard fenced in for pups to run around like crazy. I am a stay at home mom- my time is very flexible. We have two crates if necessary. Treats galore! My dogs are like family- We love on them like our children. Your dog will be treated like our own. We can give baths as well. Your dog will be very comfortable at my house. It will be a pleasure to have them. I have a very relaxed schedule that will cater to your dog. My dogs live like kings. They are cared for very well. Your dog will also be treated as family. Margo did an awesome job with Penny! She kept me updated and sent pictures everyday! I knew talking with Margo that she will be good with Penny in helping her training. She also sent me an article on one of my house plants that is poisonous to dogs! I had no idea ? I recommended her to all my friends and I have already booked Margo for another week ☺️?

Susan did a wonderful job taking care of my pets this weekend! She was able to schedule a meet-and-greet on short notice and was very thorough collecting the care instructions for my two large dogs and three cats. She was so patient with my very large and active Labradoodle and St. Bernadoodle. My dogs seemed very attached to her quite quickly and she did a fantastic job with them. She arrived promptly according to the care schedule, sent detailed updates and was extremely professional and lovely to work with. I am so happy to have found such an excellent sitter in my area and will gladly continue to rebook Susan!! Highly recommended!

Megan was so great with my large pup who has been anxious while her dad is away. I last minute needed help and Megan went out of her way to fit me into her schedule. Megan was communicative and detailed in her reports on walks. She was also on time and spent the entire 30 min+ with our pup. Would definitely book again.

  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
