“Jill was absolutely phenomenal with our fur babies! This is the first time we've used Rover and were incredibly nervous. Not only were we trusting a stranger in our home with our dogs but we would be out of the country and unable to do anything if things went wrong. Jill was everything we could have hoped for and so much more! She loved our babies and made sure they were happy! She even gave our cats attention eventhough they weren't on the list of pets for her to care for. Jill made sure to keep us well updated daily and took some of the best photos of our pets. We were able to fully relax on vacation knowing she was there to care for our babies and we will without a doubt, book her the next time we go out of town. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Jill! You are one of a kind!”

“I'm beyond happy with the service I received. She made sure to communicate and check in with me everyday at the times I specified for Midnight. I normally come home and midnight looks sad and depressed when others have watched her. I came in and she was so happy, energized and very well taken care of. My house looks the same, nothing out of place or damaged. Thank you so much Gabrielle. I will definitely continue to use her and reference her to my other dog parents. Thank you!!!”

“First time hiring Kelly to look after 3 cats and we knew they would be in good hands after the meet and greet. She provided pictures and detailed updates on how they were behaving (2 cats were recovering from respiratory issues). And our cats took to her quite readily. Great care and peace of mind while on vacation. Highly recommended.”

“My cat Daisy and I had another fantastic experience with Jenny! She worked her magic on her drop in visits to care for Daisy while I was away and my typically stranger shy kitty was happy to come out to visit with her. Jenny shared many photos so I could see my girl was doing well and I returned home to a very well cared for and happy cat.”

“Courtney was so good with our dog. She loved on her, took her for walks, kept us updated and communicated so well, AND sent the cutest pics. She will be our first call next time we need someone to look after our dog. TT LOVES her ?”

About: I’ve always had a heart for little critters, both wild and domesticated. I love to get to know them and care for them and give them as good a life I can for whatever part I have in it. I take care of my cat every day and I care for my parents dog when they are busy or out of town. Also any friends pets who need sitting. I treat them with respect and care, I make sure they are content and comfortable as they can be and do what I can to keep them safe and happy.

“Emily was great with my cats and gave me plenty of updates and the cutest pictures! I was never worried with them in her care and could enjoy my vacation. I would definitely choose her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs every kind for as long as I can remember weather it was for my parents, friends and neighbors. They have trusted in me to make sure they being taken care of I’m currently a stay at home mom and have plenty of time on my hands to care for your fur babies and I’ve also grown up my whole life with animals in my house I have a fenced in yard and and a 6 month old puppy that will keep your fur baby company. I love to play with fur babies

About: Been caring for dogs since I was 5; Own a standard goldendoodle along with mini goldendoodle boys of my own. As well as a shih-tzu, so rounded out experience with dogs of varying sizes. Also have done house sitting for my relatives. I’m currently unemployed, when I do get a job/online schooling I’ll update my schedule. However, my genuine passions for animals make it less of a ‘job’ and more of a hobby :) For my own dogs, I ensure they’re walked at most every three hours. Access to water from when I wake up to a few hours before bed. ALWAYS leash my animals before I take them out. My mother is a dog trainer and taught me body language so I can tell if they’re uncomfortable or not.

About: I bring a unique blend of patience, attentiveness, and genuine love for animals that helps me quickly build trust with both pets and their people. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs whether that means keeping a playful pup busy or making sure a senior dog feels safe and comfortable. Here’s a bit about my experience: • Puppy care, leash walking, and reinforcing basic commands • Senior dogs, with gentle handling, slower-paced walks, and medication routines • Special needs pets, providing calm, detail-oriented care • Administering medications (oral, topical, and injectable) • Multi-pet households, managing dynamics so everyone gets love and attention I always prioritize communication I’ll send regular updates and photos so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. I truly treat every animal as if they were my own, creating a calm and loving environment while you’re away. I’m planning to transition out of my hourly job and become a full-time sitter while in school. Balancing classes and work can be a lot, but pet care has always been something that brings me joy and helps me decompress. I carefully plan my schedule to make sure I’m fully present and attentive with every pet I care for. Whether it’s early mornings, evenings, or weekends, I’m committed to providing consistent, loving, and reliable care that fits both your pet’s needs and my routine. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and engaging environment that matches each pet’s routine and comfort level. In my home, I keep things clean, pet-proofed, and stocked with toys, cozy spaces, and outdoor access for breaks and playtime. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific habits or routines. I make sure pets feel secure and loved, whether they’re in familiar surroundings or visiting mine.

About: I have taken care of my two animals my whole life. I also have watched many friends and family pets my whole life. I absolutely love all animals and have even had ducks, turtles, bunnies, squirrels, and more. I’m a sophomore in college at SIUE and I have a very free schedule. My class schedule ranges from 1-3 classes a day which allows me to let the dog out in between these classes and with the dog the majority of the day. The only time I’m out other than class is for a short workout or playing pickleball with friends. I can easily walk or let dogs outside anytime throughout the day before and after class. I love cuddling and playing with the animals anytime they want to.

About: I’ve had animals of my own since I was little. Growing up I would often pet sit for family. More recently, I’ve rescued two cats within the past 3 years. They’re my world! I’ve recently started pet sitting for my friend on occasion and wanted to find more pet sitting opportunities because I enjoy it so much! I work from home Monday-Friday 8-5 with a lunch break from 12-1. However, I work at my own pace so I am able to leave if needed. I also work a part time job on the weekends where the hours vary. I’ll always be available after 6pm. I pay close attention to detail specific to each pet since each pet has their own set of needs. I like getting to know their personalities and earning their trust. I understand that pets are an extension of the family and I respect them as such. I also understand the worry of leaving your pets at home and the separation anxiety that pet and owner can experience, so I always offer pictures of your pets so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on much!

“Melanie went above and beyond in every way! I was not very familiar with the terms and whatnot of Rover and she helped me figure out what would be best for us. She took exceptional care of my kitty boys while I was gone, and I am so grateful. I would highly recommend Melanie to take care of anyone’s pets!”

About: I visit my neighbors’ pets when they go out of town. I feed them, take them out, give them medicine, and spend time with them. I work at a school through the end of May and then I’m off for the summer. I will have more time at that point to take care of your pet’s needs. I would come to your home and take care of your babies. I will take them out, play with them, cuddle them, feed them and give them fresh water, and give them their medicine (pills) if they will take it easily.

About: I have had many dogs in my lifetime and I know how to notice any health issues. I will treat your pet as if it were my own. I enjoy many outdoor activities with dogs like hiking and swimming. I encourage continual training, so when you get back you may even find that your fury companion has learned something new. I am comfortable with all sorts of animals from reptiles to small pockets pets. I am knowledgable in the care of many different species and there is no animal or breed that i am uncomfortable with. You can rest assured that your animals are in good care. If you have special needs pets or pets that need medicated they will get the proper care they need and deserve. I can also pet sit your reptile, small mammal, or bird. I work full time but am available in the evenings every day. I am available in the mornings on the weekends. I am available certain holidays as well. In your home I will try to keep everything as familiar as possible. I do not want to change anything if I don't have to.

Caeden S.Star Sitter
“Our fur babies are important to us where I was certainly pleased with how my little LuLu was cared for during my 3 week vacation. While Caeden cared for her at his home, she almost did not want to go home with me after he spoiled her. Appeared that she had eaten well and was even clean upon picking her up. I would definitely use Caeden again to care for my LuLu either at their home or even at my residence as he appears to be a very responsible pet lover.”

“Gabbi was great! She came by and let our dogs out for an hour and made sure they got plenty of exercise. She was so accommodating and friendly!”
