About: I have owned dogs my entire adult life, usually two at a time. Whether your dogs like to play, be chased, fetch, go on walks or just chill and be pet or brushed I’m happy to do any of the above. My dogs Rebel and Eve particularly love being chased from the front yard to the back yard and around the patio table, going for walks, and being combed and brushed outside on the deck especially on a nice sunny day. I am currently a graduate student getting my Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education. I take classes two days a week over the summer. I am a very trustworthy person. I have worked in the local community at my childrens’ former elementary school for 10 years and prior to that, I volunteered at the school. During the school year, I substitute teach in the Romeo and Rochester School Districts and go to Oakland University where I am earning my Master’s degree in Elementary Education. While in your house I will respect your privacy and only enter areas specifically agreed upon between us and be sure to clean up any incidental messes that your pet may make, check and double-check to ensure that your pets are safe and secure in any kennels or cages (if used) and the doors are locked. Basically, I will treat your home as I would my own…and I am a very neat and organized person. 🙂

About: Hello! I’m experienced with boarding tasks (feeding, administering medications, etc.), basic training, and in-home pet care. While I can't host pets at my place, I love coming to yours for walks, backyard play sessions, and overnight stays. **Dogs:** Happy to tire them out with walks, play, and potty breaks. **Cats:** Patient and gentle — I'll take the time to earn their trust. Previously worked with a small pet care business visiting clients' homes, so I'm comfortable following your specific instructions and treating your space with respect. Your pet stays happy at home. You stay worry-free. It’s a win-win! I’m currently working part-time at a dog kennel so I’m usually working 2-3, 8 hour or 6 hour shifts a week. If asked about requests in advance, I may be able to request time off to accommodate client needs. I don’t have the room to board dogs or cats in my current situation, however I am very experienced with boarding tasks and basic training. I absolutely love taking walks or just doing some play sessions in the backyard and enjoy getting kitties to warm up to me. I would mainly be looking for walks/play and potty visits, or pet sitting in the owner’s home.

About: I grew up with cats and have raised two pups since they were around 10 weeks old. I’ve taken them to multiple levels of training classes and groom them at home. I treat my animals like they’re my children and would be happy to spread my love along to your furry friends! I work from home during the week, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to fit in pet care easily! I enjoy keeping busy, especially if it includes being around furry friends! I ensure pets receive adequate amount of food, playtime, attention and love each day. One of my pets was diagnosed with anxiety as a puppy, which has been a huge learning experience during walks and interactions with other dogs and people. I am a very patient person and would be happy to take care of pets regardless of their needs, personalities and behaviors. :)

Lauren is great. I had already booked Lauren to come on a specific day where both my husband and I work long hours. On this day, my chronic illness appeared which sometimes keeps me bedridden so Lauren kept the appointment anyway and walked Mabel. I felt such relief because I feel guilty about not giving Mabel the outdoor time and exercise that she needs when I become ill. Lauren is so dependable and Mabel clearly enjoys her.

Very pleasant and accommodating. I had her over to my parents home where my dog was staying to walk my pup on relatively short notice. My parents dogs as well as mine all obviously took a shine to her, she sent me photos of the dogs, and was over every day she said she would be and walked for at least 30 min. Definitely someone I would recommend!

About: I have cared for and owned all different kinds of animals. I have been in the horse riding industry since I was 8 years old so I am not skiddish towards other animals. I truly have a passion for animals and I am very able and willing to do what it takes to take care of your beloved pets!! I am currently a full time student, however I am a commuter so I have the ability to travel freely in between classes and outside of classes. I am on summer break from May-September and have a virtually free schedule for whatever you may need! I am more than happy to confine to whatever you may need me to do in order to give your pet the best care possible. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats since childhood and have been involved in their daily care for many years, including feeding and basic routines. I’ve also helped care for and watch family and family friends’ dogs, giving me experience with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I enjoy spending time with dogs, whether that means walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company. I understand the importance of structure, attention, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m responsible, attentive, and will treat every dog as if they were my own. I do part time shifts at an endoscopy center which normally takes up 6-8 hours throughout the day. I work up to 3 times a week but can always change days or take days off to accommodate your pet as long as I have enough notice in advance. I provide care in clients’ homes by following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. This includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any specific care instructions provided. I make sure pets are safe, calm, and well cared for, and I pay close attention to their behaviors and needs. I also respect the client’s home by keeping things clean, organized, and secure, and I will always communicate if anything seems off or requires attention.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 8. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and play with their pets while gone. I bathe my dog often with no issue. I love dogs with all my heart and will make sure yours gets all the love attention it can get! I have taken care of cats for over 2 years and absolutely love it. Having one myself, I only want the best for him, so I spoil him rotten. And I'll spoil yours too! I have taught him tricks, and I can try to teach yours too. I also take him outside and have him harness trained. If you have a cat backpack, I can take your cat out for walks! What sets me apart from other sitters? • I'll take pictures of your pets throughout the day to keep you updated (and I'm sure you'll be missing them!) • People say teaching a cat tricks is hard, but I was able to teach my cat some! So I can definitely try to teach your cat. If you have a cat backpack, I can take your cat out for walks! • I took some classes on teaching dogs in shelters tricks to increase their chances of being adopted, so I can definitely teach your pup some too, no matter the age! • I would love to make dog treats for him/her if you allow (just let me know what their favorite flavors are, like PB, pumpkin, etc). I make treats for my dog when it's his birthday! I'm currently a student and am willing to do pet care at any time of the day before I study more. Taking care of pets will be stress relief from school since I'll get to be around animals! 😁 I will ask the owner what rooms the pets are not allowed in (if any) and always watch them to make sure they don't destroy any furniture. I will spoil your cats/dogs with pets and treats (if allowed) to gain their trust and feel safe with me. I am always looking at body language and will take the appropriate action to ensure that I'm not a threat to them.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Wolcott Mills. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Wolcott Mills.

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
