“Lindsay was great! Her updates were thorough and she let me know everything that was going on with Loki while we were away. He gets really nervous when we’re gone but I could tell he was so comfortable with her. I will definitely book again :)”

“Toni is amazing! She spent the time to get to know my pup and was great with him. Her experience with her own pets is evident, and she is a trustworthy walker! She was flexible and communicated clearly!”

“I was nervous to use this service (or to leave my kitties under anyone’s care), but Colleen was beyond fantastic. She sent photo updates every day and you could tell that she was spending quality time with the cats and making them feel loved while we weren’t there. We are so picky about our cats, but I will absolutely use Colleen again and hope that you will too!”

About: I've spent over 20 years caring for pets of my own and helping family and friends with theirs. I combine a genuine love of animals with the responsibility and reliability gained from a successful professional career, giving pet parents peace of mind. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule. I am available seven days a week for daytime dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship. My flexible schedule allows me to provide reliable, attentive care and accommodate a variety of pet care needs throughout the week. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I take time to build trust with each pet, paying attention to their personality and needs. I maintain a clean, safe environment, keep pets securely leashed during walks, and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.
About: I've lived with and cared for dogs for my entire life; I love all animals, big, small, young, old and anywhere in between, the more animals the better! I have experience with dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, and fish and I get along with all of them. I am available for early mornings and late nights as well as weekends. I am also familiar with and unphased by the less glamorous sides of pet care, I don't mind cleaning up after puppy accidents, I have some experience grooming our shaggier four legged friends, and I know how to administer most puppy medications. I work from home so my availability is wide open for whatever you and your animals need. I am an extremely active person so there is no limit to much I will love and play with your pup, but I will also be patient and sensitive to nervous dog and cats. There is no puppy personality that I don't love. I can't wait to meet your dog! I work remote Monday - Wednesday. I also have weekends and evenings available for more involved activities. When im not pet sitting i like to take my own dog for hiking/ camping adventures! A typical day starts with breakfast and a nice romp around the yard, or brisque walk around the neighborhood so your dog can go potty and get out some morning energy. I have a flexible schedule at work so i can take frequent breaks to play and attend to your critters needs. In the evenings, im free again and i like to spend time being active, whether its a long walk, a game of fetch, or even an adventure to the park
“Stephanie did a truly excellent job with my dog Odie. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top notch pet sitter. She is awesome and thoughtful and smart and Odie had a fun weekend staycation.”

“Jordana was wonderful with my cat! She took great care of him and I felt good knowing he was in good hands while I was away. I will definitely look for Jordana the next time I go out of town!”

“Cassandra was willing to care for my cats on extremely short notice and we did not even get to do a meet and greet in advance. Nevertheless, she was immediately able to bond with my cats and asked insightful questions and was very careful to be sure they were getting the right amounts of food and supplements. From the expression on my cats faces in the photos she sent, I can tell that the cats absolutely love her. I can recommend her highly and hope she will be willing to help us again. I think she is a cat whisperer!”

“Tracy was great! She looked in on our older cat and younger dog this past week. Our older cat has some health issues and Tracy reported on his eating/other habits to help keep us apprised of his situation. She also took our dog for a few walks, fed her and gave her some company. Tracy responded to texts quickly, is friendly and our pets seemed to be just fine with her! We’re so thrilled!”

About: Back home, I rescued and cared for several dogs while helping them recover and find loving, responsible families. I have always felt a deep connection to animals and enjoy spending time with dogs of different sizes and personalities. I learn quickly and follow instructions carefully to ensure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own, prioritizing their happiness and well-being. I work part-time and online, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to adapt to each pet’s routine and needs. I am available throughout the week and can provide regular attention, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I understand that consistency is important for pets, and I do my best to maintain their usual schedule so they feel comfortable and secure while their family is away. I personally prefer house sitting because pets are often happiest and most relaxed in their own familiar environment. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, preferences, and any special instructions provided by their family. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible while providing attentive, loving, and reliable care. If needed, I may be able to host pets in my apartment on a case-by-case basis, but my primary focus is providing care in the pet’s own home where they feel safest and most comfortable.
“Colleen was amazing! Very friendly with our girls and great communication with us while we were out of town. Above and beyond even cleaning up after them in the yard!! Thank you!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 3,872 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Winterthur. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Winterthur. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
