“I had to find someone to take care of my cat at the last minute and chose Emi. She came to my house to meet Spencer and get a few pointers about walking a cat. I could sense her love of animals immediately and Spencer seem to also. She came over every evening on schedule and sent me a recap and great pics of my little friend. Very sweet, reliable, and personable young lady. I would not hesitate to ask her to care for my kitty again and highly recommend her.”

About: I have 20 years of dog experience and 16 years of cat experience and i'm currently mom to a senior lab/hound mix and a 4-year-old terrier mix. i apprenticed for several years with a dog trainer to hone my handling skills and have fostered a good bit in recent years (puppies and potty training, too). i have a calm and peaceful way about me and working with animals keeps me at my best and brightest. i truly enjoy other peoples' pets and will surely fall in love with yours. i work in a home office and have a flexible schedule. i've intentionally kept my service area small so i can pop out of my home and into yours easily and often. *house sitting rate includes overnight stay (approximately 10PM-6AM) plus meal/potty breaks throughout the day for any pet(s) living full-time in your home. i'll gladly grab mail and water plants as well... we'll tailor the details during our meet & greet. *pup walks include basic polite leash walking work, as needed/requested. consistency is key! i strive to step into your established schedule and routines (feedings, walks, play, snuggles - you name it!), helping your pets remain comfortable and settled while you're away.

I treat every pet like my own and make it my goal to ensure they feel safe, happy, and at home while you’re away. Let’s set up a meet and greet — I’d love to get to know you and your pet! About: Hi, I’m Maggie! I’m a responsible and hardworking dog lover who knows how important it is to have reliable care for your pup. Whether your dog needs a quick stroll or some extra attention, I’ll make sure they feel loved and cared for while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I love spending time with dogs and making sure they’re happy and well cared for. I work a 9-5 job, but I’m able to take a break at lunch for a 20-minute visit to let dogs out, go for a walk, or give them some playtime. Whether it’s a midday potty break or weekend adventures, I’m happy to fit pet care into my schedule in a way that works best for you and your pup! I understand the importance of respecting someone else’s space, especially since I’m new to town and currently staying in temporary housing myself. I know what it’s like to live in a space that isn’t your own, so I make sure to treat every home with care and consideration. When caring for pets in their home, I follow all instructions closely, keep things clean and tidy, and ensure pets feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. “Amanda is great! Prior to our first appointment she met me for a Meet and Greet to go over our routine with my dog Dottie. For our scheduled drop-in Amanda was on time, followed our routine, sent pics and spent time with Dottie. We will definitely use Amanda again in the future.”

“While I didn't get to meet Xandra in person (she popped in while I was at work,) she really helped ease my anxiety about leaving my puppy alone for her first full days. She patiently answered all of my questions and reminded me that she was here to take care of my girl exactly like I wanted her to. She lives very close to me as well, and I hope to hire her again for sure!”

About: Hi! I'm Sarah—a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I have a 10-year old Texas Heeler who I've raised since he was a puppy, and I grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, and even bunnies! I'm especially skilled with senior pets and those needing medication, and I provide attentive care tailored to each pet's specific needs. I’m also very active and love working with energetic pups who need exercise and playtime to stay happy and healthy. You can count on open communication, and flexible scheduling—including last-minute bookings when life gets busy. Whether it's a walk around the block or overnight home care, your pet will be treated like family. Let’s connect—I’d love to meet your furry friend! I currently work part-time as a photographer and photo retoucher, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I'm available throughout the week Monday-Friday, typically between 8 AM and 7 PM. This flexibility allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine—whether it's dog walking, playtime, feeding, or home sitting. I'm committed to providing consistent and attentive care whenever it's needed. I have a senior dog who just turned 10 years old! He has Cushing's disease and allergies, so I'm very experienced with administering daily medications on a consistent schedule, including glucosamine for his joints. We go on walks twice a day, play in our fenced-in backyard, and visit local dog parks for socializing and exercise. As an active person, I love providing my clients’ pets with the same level of care and attention—whether that’s daily walks around the neighborhood, games of fetch, or just quality one-on-one time. I understand how important it is to tailor care to each dog’s individual needs, especially when they require a bit of extra love and attention.

“We've used Jessika for house sitting with our pup Lucy, and recently switched things up to do drop in visits. Could not be happier - Jessika continues to be a phenomenal caretaker for Lucy and we have been thrilled with her. She's communicative, sends videos and pictures, and always does an incredible job summarizing the visit for us. If we could give 6 stars, we would!”

About: I’ve worked with dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, and horses my whole life. For the past year I’ve been a veterinary assistant and feel comfortable taking care of your pets every need! Administering medication, following specific dietary instructions, and making sure your pet is safe and happy, I can do it all! I am free this summer to help you and your pet in anyway I can! With my open schedule, I feel as if I can accommodate many different times. I believe the best way to care for your pet is to keep them to their usual schedule. I can play for designated times in your backyard or take your dog to the dog park if that is what you prefer. I also love to go on long sniff walks or just short potty breaks. I can crate your dog before I leave or leave them in the living room with their favorite tv show on. Whatever works best for your dog!

About: Aside from owning multiple dogs throughout my life and pet sitting for neighbors, I worked at a local holistic dog shop as a sales associate and bather for over 6 years. I am knowledgeable about dog nutrition, health, breed specific needs, and grooming! I have always been very comfortable around animals and understand the behavior of dogs. I typically work a day shift of Monday- Friday, 9:30 AM-6:30 PM. During the weekend, I am available for overnight stays. Due to the high volume of my work, I am not guaranteed the time to go home for 4 hour potty breaks. I do live in a spacious 1 bedroom apartment that would be suitable for temporary stay for small and large dogs. Ample outside time for overnights would be taken into account.

About: I have grown up with many cats, dogs, and fishes since I was young. I have science knowledge, that might be useful to look after your cats. I stay at home most of the time since I am currently working from home. Hence, I can look after them and make sure they are healthy with my roommate. The room is always cool, plenty of water, food will be served on time, doors are locked and closed, and we will play with them.

About: Hi! I’m Kait, a social worker by trade and an animal lover at heart. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, anxious babies, and everything in between. My goal is to give the same love, attention, care, and fun to your fur babies as I do my own sweet ones. I’m happy to do wellness checks, potty breaks, feeds, walks, jogs, catch, and the much needed scratch behind the ears whenever necessary. Please contact me if you think I might be able to help out! I am currently pursuing licensure and have more availability than usual in my schedule, so I currently can offer high flexibility and last minute bookings! I am happy to follow whatever routine or schedule gives you and your baby the most comfort! This can look like warm up play time in the home, walks around the neighborhood, or whatever your pet is wanting!

Winston-Salem dog parents share their Rover experiences
Connor was so sweet and accommodating for our little critter crew!! It was our first time away from them for this long and we came back to a happy, healthy bunch. He was super attentive to less pleasant occurrences during our time away — whether it was a broken glass or something else, he handled everything without hesitation. We’d be happy to work with him again!!

Amanda is great! Prior to our first appointment she met me for a Meet and Greet to go over our routine with my dog Dottie. For our scheduled drop-in Amanda was on time, followed our routine, sent pics and spent time with Dottie. We will definitely use Amanda again in the future.

Michelle was an AMAZING dog sitter for my higher energy dog. She showed up on time and gave him plenty of attention and love that all pets deserve. She goes above and beyond for her care of animals and I can’t recommend her enough for anyone looking for exceptional care of their pets!
