“Susan was extremely helpful with Cooper. He hasn’t been to any daycare in a while and he was a little unsure. She took special care with him and put him at ease in her home. Thank you, Susan!”

“Duke enjoyed his first sitter experience. I’m so happy Skye made him feel at ease. Whenever we are in town and need a sitter, I will definitely bring him back to her.”

“We needed last minute dog care while traveling out of town and Cyd Marie did such an amazing job!! She was so sweet and friendly and the dogs loved her immediately. Her home is super warm and dog friendly. Couldn’t recommend her enough”

“Angelica is great with my little Sadie dog, as always!!! Sadie loves being with Angelica and I was able to get a last-minute daycare for her. Angelica put a super cute pink bandana with hot pink dog paws on Sadie, she looks so cute!! Thank you Angelica!”

“Megan is heaven sent! My dog needed day care where he was getting the same love as if he was home and Megan provided that plus more! Our work hours are from 8-7pm between us both and we felt Neeko needed to get out the house to not be cooped up all week. I’m so happy that I chose Megan for this and the fact she provides updates and pics throughout the day is amazing and warms my heart! She treats our dog like it’s his second home! Book her!”

“Shelisha is such a kind person! We felt very safe leaving our 5 lb Shih Tzu with her while we went to a Detroit Tigers game. Her communication is excellent. She even sent us pictures of our Ruby while we were away. Very pleased!”

“Maria took my 2 pups at the last minute for a full day of daycare. Both pups have separation anxiety and my Bouvier was recovering from a leg wound - so it was a big ask. Maria was gentle and calm and my pups were immediately put at ease. I highly recommend her. She is lovely and very good with pups.”

“Yusel took wonderful care of my puppy and treated him like her own. Communication was great throughout, which really gave me peace of mind. My pup came back happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. I’d definitely trust her again and highly recommend her. My puppy will be coming back very soon !”

“Excellent care surrounded by a loving family. Updates were provided with photo. Fenced yard and safe surrounding.. my pup was happy. Thank you Angie. Hope to see you again.”

About: Firstly, I will listen to your pet's needs that you have, and follow them accordingly. Secondly, I will play with your babies and pay attention to them, with love and affection. I will walk with them around the Lake's, and engage them, by talking to them, so that they know they are loved by me. Thirdly, I do like to play catch and engage them in different games, so their time away from you will fly by for them. Lastly, I am not trained in the Heimlich for dogs, nor CPR, but I have had to do the Heimlich on my own dog, whom was choking on food, to save her life. I look forward to playing with your babies. Thank you so very much.
“Best dog sitter ever! My Golden LOVES going to Elke’s house and she is always spoiled rotten every time she goes! She swims in the pool, chases lizards in the fenced in back yard and goes on long walks each day. We send her with her doggy shampoo and she always comes back home clean! Thank you for taking such great care of our girl! We always know she is in the best of hands!”

About: I have fostered for the SPCA since I was 12 and have owned pets my entire life. I have a passionate love for animals and recently discovered a new passion for pet sitting! I STRICTLY KEEP ONLY ONE PET FAMILY AT A TIME - so I can focus on their personal and familiar schedule, happiness, and safety. I ALSO WELCOME SPECIAL NEEDS PETS, as I have owned and cared for many myself. Keeping your pet is a privilege and brings me great joy, it is not a primary financial stream. (If you need a recurring or long-term sitter who will build a loving relationship with your pet, please contact me for discount.) As for my background and experience, as a youth, I began fostering animals for the SPCA at 12 years old, and then at 16 began raising and training guide dog puppies for Southeastern Guide Dogs. I have been awarded volunteer and foster of the year both by the SPCA. As I got older. I saw a great need for foster parents who could bottle feed abandoned puppies and kittens, could care for older pets needing extra time and expertise, and pets with a wide variety of special needs. After adopting several special needs pets who would otherwise have difficulty finding a forever home (the last two passed away last year), I found myself wanting to adopt every animal I fostered. knowing that wasn’t realistic, I realized pet sitting might be better outlet for me to direct my love for animals (Without the pain of not knowing if the pet I fostered would eventually find a loving home). And I have loved hosting happy pets ever since! My children are now in college, and after losing my precious older dog and cat a couple years ago, I now only have one cat we rescued during a storm. My ultimate goal is for both you and your pet to be comfortable and have peace of mind before and during the time you are away, and I strive to love and entertain them so much that they feel at home (or on vacation) until you come back for them. I work from home, allowing me to be available for your pet at almost all times - which is especially helpful with puppies/kittens, older, or disabled pets that need to be closely watched. (I have many years experience with disabled, sick or elderly pets). I am experienced with giving both oral and injected meds, expressions, helping them eat, exercise, etc. Because I only pet sit one animal family at a time, I am able to adjust to your pet(s) schedule. Whatever makes him/her most comfortable! I take the trust and safety of pets very seriously, only keeping one pet (or family of pets) at a time. I also document a daily diary of their experiences, and send pictures on a daily basis (unless requested otherwise). You can review the daily diary document (as well as information I prefer to obtain before pet sitting), in my photos section. This document includes the preferred vet and emergency center I utilize, although I am happy to contact your preferred vet if provided to me. I also have multiple friends who are veterinarians, and I never hesitate to contact them if I am at all concerned about any pet in my care. I prefer dogs be crate trained if they are young and active, but while I have a large double-sized crate, it is only used if we are all gone for a short time (for the dog’s safety and comfort). The rest of the time pets are welcome on the bed to sleep with us, on furniture, etc. If there is a reason the dog can’t be crated, please discuss it with me and we can come up with safest and best plan for your pet! I also have a room set up for pets in case they want to be alone or have quiet time. It is also helpful if you bring a blanket from home, so s/he is comforted by the familiar smells of you and their loving home!
About: I have had a big passion for animals since childhood. I grew up with many animals and always dreamed of working with animals. I graduated from university with an associate in veterinary technician. I been working for several years in veterinary medicine and doggy daycare i really have fun and enjoy all my time with them. I’m currently working 3 days per week, usually I’m off on Sunday and the rest of the time at home. My schedule rotates, I do not always have the same days off. I have an empty room only for them, small cage if needed and a porch that they can be around. I’m a pet friendly and I always walk my dog around so he can enjoy the complex.

About: Hello! 👋 Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by both cats and dogs, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Providing a safe, loving, and happy environment for pets is something I truly enjoy. I currently care for dogs from two different families whenever they travel, and they love staying with me! One of the dogs has special needs and requires extra attention, including meals every four hours, feeding in a harness, and daily medication. I’m honored to be the only person outside of her immediate family that they trust with her care, and I take that responsibility very seriously. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or simply relax, they’ll be treated like part of the family in my home. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands. ❤️ Hi! I’m so glad you’re here! I currently work remotely full-time through September. After that, I’ll be a stay-at-home mom, which gives me even more flexibility to provide attentive, personalized care for your pets. On weekdays, I take my child to school in the morning and return home by 8:30 a.m. School pickup is between 2:15–3:00 p.m., and we usually head straight home for homework and our evening routine. This means your pet will spend the majority of the day in a calm, loving home with plenty of attention. While I don’t have a fully fenced yard, I live in a safe, pet-friendly neighborhood that’s perfect for walks, potty breaks, and getting some fresh air. Inside my home, your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I use baby gates to keep certain areas, like my child’s playroom, off-limits, creating a safe and pet-friendly environment throughout the rest of the house.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
