“Elke and Michael did an amazing job with our 9 year old dog Benny. He’s a rescue and hasn’t always been particularly fond of men. He’s in love with Michael! And of course Elke too! They are very good at reading Benny & knowing how to handle his terrier personality. Benny is extremely noise sensitive to loud storms and fireworks. And of course there were storms while he was there. They were great at following our instructions and were able to get Benny through any tough times. And they were very forgiving when Benny had an accident in their house. Elke gave us daily updates, photos and pictures that eased our minds while he was away from us. When we were traveling this Fall, we hit up Rover again hoping to find another great fit … and we hit the jackpot! Amber is a prize. We chose to reach out as Amber works as a veterinary assistant and has a wide skillset for caring for animals. It was important to us, just in case one of our fur-babies needs medications or special care in the future (or, if there was an emergency). We were very impressed with her maturity and kind demeanor. It is apparent from our few conversations, Amber is a lovely human being, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She took to our kitties right away, and our cat who NEVER comes out for pet sitters made an appearance on day #3. Amber went above and beyond and photo-documented her visits in detail. About: I have had a big passion for animals since childhood. I grew up with many animals and always dreamed of working with animals. I graduated from university with an associate in veterinary technician. I been working for several years in veterinary medicine and doggy daycare i really have fun and enjoy all my time with them. After adopting several special needs pets who would otherwise have difficulty finding a forever home (the last two passed away last year), I found myself wanting to adopt every animal I fostered. knowing that wasn’t realistic, I realized pet sitting might be better outlet for me to direct my love for animals (Without the pain of not knowing if the pet I fostered would eventually find a loving home). And I have loved hosting happy pets ever since! My children are now in college, and after losing my precious older dog and cat a couple years ago, I now only have one cat we rescued during a storm. My ultimate goal is for both you and your pet to be comfortable and have peace of mind before and during the time you are away, and I strive to love and entertain them so much that they feel at home (or on vacation) until you come back for them. I work from home, allowing me to be available for your pet at almost all times - which is especially helpful with puppies/kittens, older, or disabled pets that need to be closely watched. (I have many years experience with disabled, sick or elderly pets). I am experienced with giving both oral and injected meds, expressions, helping them eat, exercise, etc. Because I only pet sit one animal family at a time, I am able to adjust to your pet(s) schedule. Whatever makes him/her most comfortable! I take the trust and safety of pets very seriously, only keeping one pet (or family of pets) at a time. I also document a daily diary of their experiences, and send pictures on a daily basis (unless requested otherwise). You can review the daily diary document (as well as information I prefer to obtain before pet sitting), in my photos section. This document includes the preferred vet and emergency center I utilize, although I am happy to contact your preferred vet if provided to me. I also have multiple friends who are veterinarians, and I never hesitate to contact them if I am at all concerned about any pet in my care. I prefer dogs be crate trained if they are young and active, but while I have a large double-sized crate, it is only used if we are all gone for a short time (for the dog’s safety and comfort). The rest of the time pets are welcome on the bed to sleep with us, on furniture, etc. If there is a reason the dog can’t be crated, please discuss it with me and we can come up with safest and best plan for your pet! I also have a room set up for pets in case they want to be alone or have quiet time. It is also helpful if you bring a blanket from home, so s/he is comforted by the familiar smells of you and their loving home!

This means your pet will spend the majority of the day in a calm, loving home with plenty of attention. While I don’t have a fully fenced yard, I live in a safe, pet-friendly neighborhood that’s perfect for walks, potty breaks, and getting some fresh air. Inside my home, your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I use baby gates to keep certain areas, like my child’s playroom, off-limits, creating a safe and pet-friendly environment throughout the rest of the house.

She is prompt in response to any communication about their visits or changes in my work schedule, adjusts her schedule when possible to take them out earlier or later, and is easy to communicate with. She’s been overly helpful today especially when I forgot to put the lock box on my door on the way out and had a full schedule at work, she even stopped by to get the key where otherwise my puppies would have been stuck with no potty or exercise breaks for hours. These two are full of energy so I know they appreciated the extra play time they got together today also! We are very grateful for Ruth and her excellent dog walking services.”

About: I grew up in a house hold where we always had some sort of four legged critters. From breeding to part of the family. I prefer four legged companion than 2. It's therapeutic to just chill with someone who just wants to be loved and played with. I've relocated to be closer to my mom. So I'm looking for work to pay my bills. I love animals, so why wouldn't this be an awesome way to make money and play with four legged critters. All care be done in the client's home. So pets are familiar with own surroundings and have a better experience with a random stranger, when it comes to caring for others four legged family member.

About: I have owned dogs since was 9/10 years-old, and enjoy playing with dogs and love keeping them occupied espically puppies. For puppies, I like to help potty-train them by offering treats to understand that "outside is where we use the bathroom not inside". I also pay really close attention to due to possible getting into things. I watch out for things that could possibly hurt your dog. As a dog owener myself I will treat your dog as if it was my own dog at home, giving all the attention and play time there hearts desire. I’m currently not working so I am available during select times. I also know what it is like to need a caregiver for your pets while you are away on a business trip or just a quick get away from reality. I live in an apartment complex where everyone keeps to themselves but as for any home I would treat it as if it were my home and how I would want to make sure things are in the right place
“I can tell Maria loves animals. She was very attentive and bonded with Quest however, Quest was not a fan of her husband. Maria is very flexible so when it didn’t work out for daycare, she was able to come to the home and take him for walks instead. Very grateful for Maria.”
