About: I have been a passionate animal lover my entire life. I grew up raising and training a puppy from childhood, giving me over two decades of hands-on dog experience, and I've also been a dedicated cat parent for the last 6 years. Because I currently have an open schedule, I can be home with your pets all day. This means I can provide them with constant attention, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of playtime. I treat every pet like my own and will make sure they feel safe and loved while you're away! My schedule is fully open right now, which means I can offer round-the-clock care and constant supervision for your pets. Whether you need weekday check-ins, weekend boarding, or overnight stays, I have the time and flexibility to ensure your pet's routine is never disrupted. Growing up raising a puppy taught me early on how to handle dogs with patience and care. Having a cat for the last 6 years has also made me very attuned to feline body language! About: I have valuable pet care experience from living in a condo with a housemate who had two cats. On weekends when he was away, I took on the responsibility of caring for them. This included weighing their food, cleaning their litter box, and refreshing their water daily. I also administered medication to one cat with hyperthyroidism, ensuring she received the proper care she needed. Additionally, I’ve housesat for a friend, where I fed their dogs according to strict diet plans. This role required me to wake up at 6 AM to ensure they were fed on schedule. Through these experiences, I developed strong pet care skills and a deep appreciation for the well-being of animals. I’ve always wanted a dog, but coming from a traditional Chinese family, my parents have always said no. By taking care of others' pets, I aim to earn money to pay off my grad school bills and work toward my dream of adopting a dog one day. My flexible work hours allow me to choose my schedule around pet care, with the exception of a few required meetings throughout the week. This flexibility makes it easy for me to dedicate time for walks, playtime, and overall care, ensuring that the pet feels loved and engaged. After a long day at work, I find great joy in taking walks allowing me to unwind and enjoy the fresh air. Caring for pets in a client’s home involves following their established routines, including feeding, walking, and playtime. I ensure pets receive their meals on schedule and get plenty of exercise. I also maintain hygiene by cleaning litter boxes and refreshing water, while administering any necessary medications. Safety is a priority, so I keep the home secure and monitor for hazards. Additionally, I provide affection and companionship to ease any anxiety the pets may feel. Regular check-ins with the owner keep them updated on their pets’ well-being, ensuring peace of mind while they’re away.
