“Sydney was amazing with my guys! I booked last minute and she was able to still make the request work! She fed, took them out and made sure they had water! She even got my German shepherd to eat a little which he never does when I’m not there! I would definitely recommend her if you need a drop in visit!”

“Kasandra was great! She checked on our cat while we were out of town and it made leaving him so much easier knowing he was in good hands. We will be booking with her again!”

About: Hi! I’m Ellie, and I’ve been caring for pets through Rover for the past 5 years. I’m currently available for dog walks and drop-in visits for dogs and cats, with flexibility during the day for occasional or regular visits. I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for all kinds of dogs and cats. Before Rover, I volunteered at animal shelters and worked for a pet-sitting company, where I regularly cared for a variety of pets with different personalities and needs. For dogs, I love getting them out for a good walk, giving them plenty of playtime and attention, and making sure they’re happy and comfortable while you’re away. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes — I grew up with large Golden Retrievers, so big dogs are absolutely welcome! For cats, I’m happy to provide meals, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, pets, and plenty of company while you’re away. I’m dependable, caring, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’d love to meet you and your pets and help make things a little easier when you’re away! Feel free to reach out with any questions. 🐾 I am fully available right now for morning, afternoon and evening visits/walks. Weekly Monday through Friday (some weekends too). I love dogs and look forward to meeting furry friends!! I have an unfenced backyard but will keep any dog on a leash anytime we go outside. I will take them on walks around my neighborhood.
“Sydney did a super job with my two babies! They warmed up to her right away, which speaks volumes about her ability to immediately connect with my cats. She was prompt and stayed for the entire drop-in visit. Those are things that are important to me and that I truly appreciate. I will use her again and I definitely recommend her!”

About: One of my favorite things about dogs is how each one is unique! I take the time to learn each dog's likes, dislikes, triggers, and quirks. I've been a dog-walking volunteer at Speranza Animal Rescue for over two years, where I walk dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I'm also a dog training nerd, and I'm always excited to share training and enrichment ideas with my clients. My own dog of 14 years struggled with reactivity, which sparked my passion for learning about dog behavior. I believe in the importance of building a relationship with each dog. I also have experience with senior dogs and giving medication. Whether your dog is a nervous nelly, a rambunctious rascal, or something in-between, I tailor each walk or drop-in to meet your dog's needs! Pet-sitting is my full-time gig, so I have plenty of flexibility around my standing dog-walking appointments! Contact me to find out if I have a time slot or availability that will work for you. :) I will keep your home tidy and neat when I visit, as if I haven't been there. I'm happy to refill food/water, bring in mail or packages, and crate or gate your pup if needed before I leave. Just let me know what you need!
“Very responsible and always on time. Super loving towards my 2 dogs. I love the pictures that she sent for an update on my dogs. Super friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend”

“It was our first time booking Chentel and our first time ever booking a pet sitter. We felt very comfortable, leaving her with our boys. She was really great with the transition to meeting them and having us leave. We could tell she was very experienced with meeting new dogs. Will definitely book again!”

Becky was absolutely amazing! I’m so glad I had her as my pet sitter. She was wonderful with my cat Auggie and I felt so comfortable with her the minute I met her. She did a great job with Auggie and communicating everything she was doing for his care. I really appreciated all the pictures and detailed comments on her daily visits. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter!

Christine did a fantastic job taking care of our two cats. She was attentive, and kept us updated while we were away. She even had some difficulties with the key in our door and went out of the way to fix an issue. We really appreciated how she went above and beyond. Excellent service.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windsor Park. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
