“Megan provided excellent and compassionate care for my American Bully, Kash while I was visiting the area from out of town. She communicated promptly and effectively and sent photos and updates throughout the weekend. I was so nervous having my pup boarded out of town for the first time, but felt that he was genuinely loved and cared for while there. After playing with Meagan's two dogs on her beautiful country property for a weekend, Kash returned to me safe, happy, and utterly exhausted!”
“Our dog has some pretty bad anxiety and has come home from previous sitters pretty stressed out. This time, she ate her meals, played with the resident dog, and came home stress free and happy as could be!”
“Jean was great! This was our first time leaving our dog with her. He can get a bit anxious and can have a hard time in new places, she helped calm him. She also assured us as well and didn’t make us feel like we needed to return from our trip early. I would definitely recommend Jean!”
“100% recommended. I felt very calm throughout my trip because JoEllen was in constant communication with me everyday, She always sent me photos and updates on how my dear Ginger was doing. THANK YOU VERY MUCH”
“Carole was wonderful! She was so good to Bogey and Chica. Carole loved our doggies like they were her own. Bogey and Chica were treated like part of the family. They were included in everything even cuddle time. I felt like my babies were just away at camp. They had a wonderful time! Carole even sent daily photos which I really needed to see how they were since we were vacationing across the united states. I highly recommend leaving your pets with Carole when you plan a trip away. They will be in very good hands. Thank you Carole!!!”
“Snickers had a wonderful vacation with Julie and Caleb and their kids! He was very loved and spoiled while he was there! What a fantastic family! Definitely going to book with them again!”
“We never leave our dog with anyone but family. Since all our family needed to be at our wedding we needed someone to watch Carl. Jim’s property is perfect for animals. Jim treated him like family. He was even allowed on the couch! Jim sent us pictures to show how Carl was relaxing. We recommend using Jim.”
“Janette was wonderful with my 7 months old puppy. He is extremely energetic, inquisitive, and playful . She shared pictures of him every day. He participated in the birthday of one of the furries of the household and had some of the home made treats! She answered my requests right away . I felt very comfortable leaving my pup with her and will definitely come back again. Thank you for your love and care to our lovely puppy!”
“Was very nervous as a person using this app and trusting Emanuel with my dog. Honestly 10/10 service got constant updates and my dog seems to enjoy her time there! Would def be using his services again!”
“Jennifer saved us with a last minute booking and it was a great experience for our pup. We will definitely book with her again. She kept us posted with updates and pics. Easy meet and greet because she only takes 1 animal at a time and does not have a pup, so I didn't need to worry about Sully getting along with another pup. Such a relief and peace of mind.”
“Natalie and her family accommodated us for a last minute boarding for our Cavapoo. We appreciated the pictures and excellent communication. We will definitely book with Natalie again.”
“If Joan is available, book her! Our boy immediately felt at home, and was loved and cared for so well. He was happy to see us….but was in no hurry to leave. Joan adapted everything to his needs, asked all the right questions, gave him lots of attention and kept us updated. It is hard to find the right sitter, and we will travel out of our way for Joan to sit Mac again.”
“Cera was amazing with my puppy. He isn't even a year old yet and this was his very first time away from us. He was timid at first and Cera was always communicating how he was doing and sending pictures. I felt so good leaving him with someone that loves him like her own. I would trust Cera with any furry friend. She was absolutely amazing!”
“Theresa and her entire family have truly treated Sissy like family. Everything from drop off to pick up was easy and seamless. I have so much peace about leaving my dog for an entire week knowing how much she was going to be loved and cared for. We cannot thank you enough! Sissy loves you all!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Windsor Castle home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Windsor Castle.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Windsor Castle sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
