“Megan was great with Izzy. She's very caring, and shows a lot of patience and understanding of dogs. She was very accommodating, and put my mind at ease for a fairly long boarding (10 days).”
“Brooke and Jeremy were excellent hosts! It was nice receiving updates and pictures during our dogs stay and by the looks of it he had a great time! We would highly recommend them and would certainly use again!”
“My dogs had an absolute blast with Carole. They played so much, she sent pictures and communicated the entire weekend I was away. Can't wait for them to go back to her!”
“Kim was incredibly concerned about my dog, Laila. I neglected to inform her about my dog’s open wound, and she kindly offered to take her to my veterinarian. That’s the kind of caring and attentive caregiver I look for, and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a great caregiver.”
“Theresa and her entire family have truly treated Sissy like family. Everything from drop off to pick up was easy and seamless. I have so much peace about leaving my dog for an entire week knowing how much she was going to be loved and cared for. We cannot thank you enough! Sissy loves you all!”
“Sharon and her family took outstanding care of our aging JRT while we travelled. She was receptive to our list of suggestions and kept in communication during our trip, sending us photos of Daisy playing and continuing normal patterns which were an assurance that all was well. We wondered if Daisy missed us at all! We would highly recommend Sharon as an outstanding dog-sitter!”
“David is a wonderful dog sitter. He went out of his way on a holiday to make sure my two pups were comfortable and happy. I will be bringing them back to him in the future!”
“Loved loved loveddd Maria and her family! From the beginning she was very open and communication was great! She kept me updated and loved on my dog like she was part of the family. My dog is definitely sad to leave but I will be rebooking with Maria the next time I need help! Thank you and your family for loving my girl she had a blast!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“Alyssa took great care of our beautiful Lilly. Lilly was a bit anxious the first night, but Alyssa made her comfortable and even slept on the couch next to Lilly's bed. Thanks to Alyssa's patience, Lilly slept soundly in her bed in Alyssa's room on the 3rd night. Lilly loved Alyssa and I'm sure she'll be happy to return to Alyssa's care when needed. Alyssa provided updates several times a day and responded to any of my messages in a very timely fashion. I would recommend Alyssa to anyone as I can tell that she lovingly cared for our big girl the same as we do.”
“As a first time Rover user, Missy provided such a wonderful experience start to finish. She arranged a meet a greet prior to booking which allowed us to see how our dog interacted with her and the environment, provided numerous daily updates and photos while we were away, and returned a happy pup to us at pickup. Will definitely use her again for future needs!”
“Natalie and her husband are the absolute best! They kept me updated on my pups with pictures and messages each day! Their home is beautiful and clean with lots of room for my pups to play. I am so grateful I found them and would highly recommend to everyone. I completely trust my 2 dogs with them and felt safe knowing they were in their care our whole trip!!!!! ❤️”
“Thank you very much for caring for Oliver! His first boarding experience was great (happy pup = great experience). The communication was great and the pictures/videos helped us feel better too.”
“Our experience was excellent! It was our first time leaving our puppy with someone new, but Mollie is so warm and welcoming our little guy had no hesitation going with her. She provided frequent updates and was communicative, helpful, and reliable. We have already recommended Mollie to our friends and will continue to do so! You can tell Mollie loves what she does, and her caring and kind nature shines through in every interaction. We know when our pup is with Mollie he is safe and loved like her own. We will definitely be booking again!”
“Melissa is a very special pet sitter!! Our dog had a hard first couple days trying to settle in as it was only his second time in someone else’s home over night. She went above and beyond to help him feel comfortable. I received lots of pictures of Winston doing his favorite things! I know that he was well taken care of with Melissa!”
“We were desperate last minute for someone to watch our dog on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We reached out to Lydianis and her husband Alex on Rover. They were very quick to respond and continued with good communication throughout the entire time they had my dog. They took the time, at a very busy time of year, to meet us on the Sunday before at a local park and introduced their beautiful Lab Chase to us. Seeing how well they handled Chase and how understanding they were of Clementine’s intimidation, really eased our minds of my small dog being around a bigger dog and it showed how compassionate these two fun dog loving people are towards their guest dogs and owners. Prior to Clem's stay, they asked all the right questions about how to care for her and what they could do to help with any anxiety, when to feed her how much, etc., We felt very comfortable with them and liked both of them very much! We will definitely be calling again to have them watch our little fur baby!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
94% of sitters in Lenhartsville can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lenhartsville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lenhartsville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lenhartsville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
