About: As a lifelong cat owner and animal lover, I understand that pets are family and deserve loving, dependable care. I've had cats all my life and have even opened my home and heart to stray cats, helping them receive the care and attention they needed. I have also cared for friends, neighbors and family pets for many years. I currently offer care for cats and small to medium size dogs. Whether your pet needs feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles, medication (if needed), or simply a friendly face while you're away, I'll treat them with the same kindness and patience I give my own pets. I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet's routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I know every pet has a unique personality, and I take the time to earn their trust while giving you peace of mind. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets behind. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved and cared for while giving you peace of mind through regular updates and photos. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets! I am available early mornings, after 4 pm on weekdays and weekends to care for your cats and small dogs. I am also available for overnight stays in your home. I am a trusted, reliable pet caretaker and will treat your pets like my own. I am detail oriented and will follow all instructions and send frequent updates. I primarily serve the areas of Hilton Head Island and Bluffton neighborhoods.

I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your dogs the attention they deserve — that means active walks, play, feed or simply cozy cuddle time at home. Your pet’s well-being I carefully follow all instructions and pay close attention to each dog’s needs. I have experience with all sizes, breeds and temperaments I’m confident in calmly handling unexpected situations if they arise. I also send frequent photo, video, and text updates as often as you’d like to help you feel connected while you're away. Trust and safety matter, both for your pets and your home. I’m happy to schedule a meet-and-greet so you can feel fully comfortable before committing. I primarily serve areas of Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and nearby neighborhoods. I am readily available at all times throughout the week making pet care fit perfectly into my schedule, allowing me to have full attention for your pet. My primary services are housesitting, drop in visits, dog walking. I live in a quiet neighborhood allowing me to go on long walks with minimal distractions.
“Gabriela was responsive immediately, set up a meet & greet, and took care of our pup the next day. We got great photos reassuring us she had paid careful attention and our high energy Cocoa was in good hands. Most importantly we came home to a calm happy pup. I’d definitely use Gabriela again.”

About: I’m 20 years old and have been around animals for years, with both dogs and cats of my own. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and I’m currently working toward making it my career! 🤍 I work at a small animal veterinary clinic and am completing an online Veterinary Assistant program. My goal is to become an official veterinary assistant and eventually continue my education to become a veterinary technician. Hi! I’m Kylie 🤍 I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember—truly since I was little. I’ve always been the kind of person who gets excited to meet every dog and wants to love on every cat, which is exactly why I work in vet medicine and enjoy doing pet care on the side too. I just can’t get enough of them! I’m very patient, gentle, and attentive, and I know every pet is different. Whether your pet is playful, shy, cuddly, or a little nervous, I’ll do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. I work weekdays from 7 AM–6 PM, but I get off at 2 PM on Wednesdays, & I don’t go in until 2 PM on Friday’s. Wonky schedule but it gives a little extra time for me to see your furry friends! On weekends, I have much more flexibility and am available for both walks and drop-ins anytime throughout the day. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, so I’m always careful with the little things—secure leashes, closed doors, familiar routines, and making sure they feel comfortable and safe the whole time they’re with me.
“Katherine was so great! She was very attentive to every detail of the instructions that I left, and was extremely thorough. Very pleasant to communicate with, and is very knowledgeable about all sorts of animals. I felt very comfortable having her take care of our animals while we were away. Thanks again!”

About: I have been dog sitting for over 5 years, and have worked in a dog daycare/boarding facility. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs! I currently work part time which will give me ample time to take care of your pup! I do have a kitten in home but he has been around dogs before so he is comfortable around other animals! I live in an apartment but I can do frequent leash let outs. We are in a great neighborhood with sidewalks and space to go on walks.

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a kid and have always been the go-to “person” for all animals around me! I have experience training and caring for puppies as my own Pomeranian is 1! Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine! I bring my own fur-baby with me to college and care for her there, too. While I’m away at school during certain months, I’m available full-time during breaks—check my calendar for my current availability! I have plenty of experience caring for my own puppy while managing my older dog and cat. I live in an apartment which means I am constantly finding new ways and walks to keep my dogs safe, happy, and healthy.
“So glad we found Drew! Great communication, always on time, great check-in, overall all-star!! Went away for a long weekend and did not worry about our pup, because we knew she was in good hands.”

About: Growing up my household was always blessed with multiple animals. Some of my best childhood memories revolved around my dogs. I had a German Shepherd, a border collie, a Rottweiler, and a couple of rescue pups. My childhood gave me an appreciation for the intelligence and love that dogs can show. I'll admit large bois hold a special place in my heart but there's room for all sizes! I currently work part-time as Coach in fitness. I teach classes early morning 5-9 and late in the evening 3-8, So I am available outside of those classes. I am generally completely available during the weekends! I am very active, I have a lots of stamina and strength to keep up with the pups! I am also very health conscious :)
“Perfect Rover for our Rox!! Emily was very quick to respond and a genuinely nice person. You can tell she loves animals and wanted to make sure we were well informed during her visit. Highly recommend her 100% and we look forward to using her again!”

About: I have taken care of puppies of relatives and acquaintances approximately between 3-2 years, they have trusted that I will treat them with all the love in the world, give them their food, take them out to do their needs, bathe them, give them their medications and play with them. I have also taken care of kittens, played with them, given them food and water, cleaned their litter box. My daily routine is to go for a walk with my baby two or three times a day depending on the dog's schedule to go out, my routine is very calm I live in an apartment complex which has a special park just for dogs and green areas to be able to spend it quietly mind, I give him a prize that is allowed by the owner, and I take him out to do his needs. When I take care of the dog at the owner's house I do a quiet routine, walk him to stretch and go to the bathroom, return home to rest and refresh, give him a reward that the owner agrees to use, play a little with the dog and give him a last walk to do his needs, if the owner needs me to give him dinner I do it with pleasure.

Allison is great with our 4 cats! This was our second trip out of town and she makes us feel completely at ease knowing our loved animals are in her care. Allison also makes sure our aquarium and outside animals are tended to as well. We know our cats are already looking forward to her next visit when we travel again in a few months. She also manages to get our reclusive, hiding cat to come out for pictures!! Truly a gem, cannot recommend Allison enough for your Rover needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
