“This was my first time using the drop in option, and I was genuinely worried. But Sarah for sure upon meeting her and seeing her interact with my fur babies immediately put my mind at ease. It also helped that my fur babies almost immediately loved her and that helped me to enjoy the time away with my other family members. I loved all the pictures and updates, and I would highly recommend Sarah as I will be looking to rebook for the future when needed as well!”

“First time Rover user here and I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience! Jasmine is FANTASTIC! Came to meet us and our new puppy before we needed her. Took down all the notes we talked about to be sure she helped with consistency with Bailey! Answered all my questions about how to use the app and how she handles things. She is very sweet and flexible and most definitely helped me to feel comfortable since I was a little uneasy as a new user! I am hoping she will become our regular dog sitter! She was on time and stayed the allotted time. Loved my report and all of the pics she sent after her visit too. Great experience!”

About: I have grown up with animals and am comfortable caring for tiny kittens to giant dogs. I have experience in training animals and better yet giving them love and care. Just let me know a little bit about your pet and I will cater to best fit their needs whether they want to be lazy around the house or go for runs or just need some belly rubs I'm here to make them happy! I have a flexible schedule to walk and/or do house visits frequently. My schedule also allows me to give nearly constant care and attention if needed for your pets. I believe every pet should get shown as much love as possible and I'm here to help!
“Michael watched our cats and leopard gecko for two weeks while we were out of the country and did a great job. He provides constant updates and photos! One of our cats loved him so much that he even sat on his lap! (Which he never does for anyone but us) I would highly recommend Michael for any of your pet sitting needs!”

“This was our first time having a dogsitter versus boarding our dogs. Crystal was awesome - she sent us pics and our dogs love her. I am the type of pet owner that HATES leaving our dogs to travel, but I really felt good that they stayed in their own home and Crystal was dropping in on them throughout the day. It seemed like they didn't even miss us! Am already booking her for our next vacation!”
About: I will love and care for your pet like my own. I may not have alot of years of experience doing this, but i have a big heart and would do everything in my power to maintain their safety I'm currently working a part-time job, so i'll be free all day up until 5pm. I would be free again after 10/11pm for overnight sitting. I will only be coming to homes to care for pets as I can't have them in my dad's rental house. I'm a fast learner so i can adapt to your pets routine quickly.
“We had a great experience with Diane! Can not say enough good things about her and her services. She was able to help us watch our fur baby on very short notice. She made us feel comfortable and that our dog was in great hands. Will continue to use her for her services!! Highly recommend!”

About: I absolutely love dogs and have five of my own, all of whom are spoiled. I have experience working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, and I also have grooming experience. Additionally, I can handle any necessary medication for the dogs. As a side note, I offer mini grooming services, including bathing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and light trimming of the face, feet, and sanitary areas. Prices for these services vary based on the size of the dog and the length/type. These services are off of Rover, since they don't provide these services. I am off on Sundays and Mondays. I work Tuesdays through Saturdays, my schedule is from 7:50 AM until around 12:00 PM to 2:00 Pm. I was a lead technician at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. I now currently work as a dog groomer Additionally, if your dog requires medication at specific times, I can either drop in or arrange for someone to administer the medication as needed. On special occasions, if you provide me with updated vet records of vaccinations(Bordetella, Rabies, Distemper), I can take them to work with me. (Boarding Details) Backyard: I have a large wooden fence around my yard, providing ample space and privacy. 🏡🌳 Stay Detail: when they stay with me depending if I have other dogs in my care your dog may be created while I'm away and during the night for safety reasons besides that they'll have free range of the backyard and inside while I'm there 🐾🛌 Dogs&Play : I own 5 dogs that love to run and play they are friendly with other dogs I do keep them separated from boarding dogs at the beginning If your dog is friendly with other dogs, then I'll test them out with my dogs and see how they work. I do slow introductions and try not to overwhelm the dogs. Every dog has different personalities so I tried to match my dog's personality with my boarding dogs so everyone has a good and happy relaxing Stay. 🐶🎾😊 Of course. If your dog is not good with other dogs, don't worry. They can be separated from my dogs and can still have fun with me. 🐕❤️ Outdoors: when your dog stays with me when it comes to exercise for the most part. We spend most of our time in the backyard playing fetch or playing with my dogs. I typically don't walk the dogs unless you require me to do so. 🏞️🦴🚶♀️
About: I’m a very chill, homebody‑type sitter, and I bring that calm, relaxed energy into every home I care for. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, under control, and stress‑free by following their routine and giving them steady, gentle attention. I also keep your home clean and tidy during every stay, and I offer additional cleaning services if you’d like extra help while you’re away. I have my own car as well, so I’m happy to take dogs to parks, trails, or safe outdoor spots for exercise and enrichment. I’m a fully online college student, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I can do my schoolwork from anywhere, so I’m able to stay present with pets throughout the day. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m able to adjust my routine around their needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priorities are safety, trust, and maintaining the pet’s normal routine. I only offer in‑home care, which allows pets to stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow all instructions exactly as given feeding schedules, walk routines, medication, crate rules, and any household preferences. I always double‑check doors, gates, and leashes to make sure pets stay secure. I also keep the home tidy, respect your space, and treat it with the same care I’d want for my own. Because I’m a fully online student with a flexible schedule, I’m able to spend quality time with pets, give them attention throughout the day, and make sure they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing.
“I had a great experience. She was very communicative and kept me updated on how the visit went. My cat was well taken care of and seemed happy and relaxed when I got home. Would definitely book again!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. Growing up, I cared for a variety of pets including Rottweilers, a purebred Husky, teacup Chihuahuas, rabbits, turtles, and guinea pigs. Since I was homeschooled while most of my siblings were at school, I became the primary caregiver for many of our pets, handling feeding, exercise, cleaning, and daily care. I also helped train our white Husky using patience and consistency, which taught me the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine very naturally because I’m already used to structured responsibilities and being attentive to animal needs. I also work part-time, so I’m familiar with balancing a job, staying organized, and still making sure I give animals consistent, focused care. I plan my schedule intentionally so pet visits, walks, and check-ins don’t feel rushed or like an afterthought. When I’m with pets, they have my full attention. I make sure feeding, playtime, litter care, and comfort routines are done properly and on time. Even with a part-time work schedule, I prioritize clear communication and reliability, so pet parents always know their pets are safe, cared for, and getting regular updates. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their environment as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow their normal routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care, playtime, and any special instructions like medications or specific habits. I also make sure their space stays clean, safe, and comfortable while respecting the home as if it were my own. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and comfort level—whether they’re energetic and playful or shy and need space. I let them warm up at their own pace and make sure they feel secure while their owner is away. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident and connected. If caring for pets in my home, I would maintain a calm, clean, and supervised environment where pets are given attention, structure, and comfort throughout the day.
“Ashlee was wonderful with Petey. She was willing to meet him prior to taking care of him and sent me the best pictures of him happy and healthy. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with both cats and dogs in the house and have gone on to care for many pets of friends, family, and my own in adulthood. I absolutely love all fur babies and can guarantee to provide excellent car for them when it’s needed! Whether it’s just for a quick potty break, taking them out for their walks, or overnight care, I just want to make sure your pet is loved and cared for while you’re away. My schedule is pretty open as long as I’m in town. I do travel a lot for my regular job, but it’s currently slow season and I have quite a bit of extra time on my hands. I’m VERY good at communicating my availability and when things start to pick up come spring time, I’ll be sure to keep my availability up to date. I am very good at following instructions. Beyond the typical basic care of food, potty, playtime and walks, I’m more then willing and able to follow any extra instructions that are provided to me so your pet is fully cared for. Please be sure to leave me detailed instructions so that I can make sure all grounds are covered for your animals.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was around 12. I absolutely love taking dogs on walks or if they love a car ride! I am a very attentive listener, and will take care of any dog to the highest expectation. I will always sit around and play with them and keep them entertained for a long time! I am free always during this summer, so I can take care of any pet during any time. I do leave for Bama in August, but will love to continue walking and taking care of of dogs in Tuscaloosa! In your home, I will always make sure your dog is secured within the yard, on a leash, in a crate if needed, or being around them in the house! Walking them, I will always make sure they have a leash on and near me at all times. While taking care of them, I can always send updates and cute pictures!

Both are fantastic with animals, so your pet will have constant supervision and love. • Customized Sleeping Arrangements: I am happy to accommodate your pet's sleeping habits. Whether they prefer to be crated at night or sleep on a dog bed, the choice is yours. I have crates available if needed, or you are welcome to bring your own! • Service Area: I offer daily drop-in visits and potty breaks within a 10-mile radius of my home. Safety & Trust: My Home Environment I prioritize a safe, stress-free environment for every guest. Here is how I manage my home to ensure your pet is well-cared for: • Social Dynamics: I have two dogs of my own: a lovable Golden Retriever who enjoys making new friends and a senior Rat Terrier mix who appreciates a calm environment. I am very experienced in monitoring play styles to ensure everyone is having a good time. • The Cat "Safe Zone": We have a resident cat, but I have a dedicated spare room where she can stay comfortably if your dog is not "cat-friendly." This allows your pup to have full run of the main living areas without any stress. • Secure Supervision: Your pet will never be left unattended in my fully fenced yard. Whether we are playing outside or going for a walk in the neighborhood, safety is my first priority. • Flexible Care Options: * In-Home Boarding: For pets staying with me, I offer structure, exercise, and companionship. • House Visits: I provide reliable drop-ins for bathroom breaks or multiple daily visits if you prefer your pet to stay in the comfort of their own home. I would love to do a meet and greet prior to your stay if time allows.
About: I have had dogs since I was 11, fostered dogs all through college, and currently have two dogs of my own. When fostering dogs I worked with all ages and breed mixes, from 6 week old puppies to senior dogs, dogs that needed basic training to dogs that had mild behavioral issues that required work before adopting them out. Now I have two dogs, a miniature schnauzer and an Australian Shepherd, who have helped me become an even more well rounded pet caregiver. I am more than willing to incorporate small, fun training sessions into walks to work on anything that might need work. Through my experience working with wildlife and with my own special needs dog I have had to administer many different types of medication, pill and injectable, and as extremely comfortable doing this if needed. I have also had cats in the past and am comfortable with their care needs as well. I have watched birds and I personally keep fish so I can take care of any small/exotic animals as well. Currently I am in Dallas on the weekends and will be moving here full time at the end of May. I am available all day on Saturdays until then for any walks or potty breaks your dog may need. Over the summer I will be available any day with the exception of Wednesdays and Sundays. I am more than capable of following any routines and instructions left for caring for your pet in your own home to make sure your pet is comfortable in their own environment. If your dog gets along with other dogs and enjoys play dates, I can even bring one or both of my well behaved dogs to keep them company.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windmill Creek. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
