About: I have taken care of dogs since I was around 12. I absolutely love taking dogs on walks or if they love a car ride! I am a very attentive listener, and will take care of any dog to the highest expectation. I will always sit around and play with them and keep them entertained for a long time! I am free always during this summer, so I can take care of any pet during any time. I do leave for Bama in August, but will love to continue walking and taking care of of dogs in Tuscaloosa! In your home, I will always make sure your dog is secured within the yard, on a leash, in a crate if needed, or being around them in the house! Walking them, I will always make sure they have a leash on and near me at all times. While taking care of them, I can always send updates and cute pictures!
“Ashley was amazing! She was willing and able to watch our dog, despite only having a 3 day notice. She was even willing to come over prior to booking to be sure she would be a good fit. She provided updates and photos after each visit, and was excellent about communicating any concerns. She was patient with our demanding dog and spent extra time with her until she was more comfortable with a stranger in our house. I would recommend Ashley to anyone looking for pet care and would definitely book her again.”
“Kyrah was fantastic when she watched our dogs!! She spent extra time with them and even gave our German Shepherd a nice brush. Our babies absolutely love her. Highly recommend her!! She communicated very well!!”

“Jenny was amazing! She was able to accommodate our request with really short notice. She sent us pictures and video updates each day which made me less worried/stressed about our last minute trip away from our pup. Would highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a past dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring. I provide regular updates, photos, and plenty of love so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I currently work 3 nights a week and make plenty of time for walks and play time. I live on my own and provide a safe, quiet home environment. I have no pets in my apartment. The complex does provide a spacious dog park and the silver comet trail with plenty of safe walking space.
“Madison is the best! From the initial meet and greet, we knew her warmth and energy would be perfect for our pups. She took them on fun walks every day, spoiled them with belly rubs, and sent daily reports that included lots of frame worthy pictures. Knowing they were having so much fun and looked forward to her daily visits made being away from them a little easier. I will definitely book Madison the next time we need a babysitter!”

“Absolutely amazing, my dog is a rescue dog and I am always unsure as to how he is going to react with others. He love Rachel from the very first day. She is such a caring person. Thank you.”

“The best caretaker for my cat while we were away! My usually shy kitty was instantly comfortable around her during our meet and greet. He stayed happy and healthy, and she did a fantastic job taking care of him and keeping us updated daily. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had a lifelong passion for animals and have been caring for them since I was a young girl. I volunteered at my local humane society growing up, which sparked my love for helping animals feel safe, loved, and cared for. I later spent 4 years working at a veterinary hospital, where I gained hands-on experience and truly fell in love with animal care on a deeper level. I also worked as a manager at a puppy store in high school, partnering closely with local breeders and learning even more about responsible care and different breeds. Today, I’m a proud dog mom to our mini Goldendoodle, Thor, who is full of energy and loves making new friends. We stay active with at least three walks a day, so your pup will get plenty of exercise, attention, and playtime while in my care. I have two young children who absolutely adore animals and have been raised to be gentle, loving, and respectful around pets. Our home is full of warmth, playfulness, and lots of cuddles! While I truly love cats as well, my husband is highly allergic, so I’m currently only able to offer care in my home for dogs. However I am able to care for cats in your home. I treat every dog like part of the family and understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone you trust. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away—and to give you peace of mind every step of the way. I work full time however I am able to care for dogs given I work from home. Thor will also provide a fun and loving environment while your fur babies stay at our home. I have a large home & take Thor on many walks. I enjoy our walks and also let him run in our pickleball courts for extra exercise and fun.

“Jasmine was so sweet and rescued me last minute in a tough spot. She was able to meet the next day and did a wonderful job giving tlc to my senior Yorkie who can’t see or hear anymore. I can’t thank her enough.”

“Michael watched our cats and leopard gecko for two weeks while we were out of the country and did a great job. He provides constant updates and photos! One of our cats loved him so much that he even sat on his lap! (Which he never does for anyone but us) I would highly recommend Michael for any of your pet sitting needs!”

“The best in the business!! Took care of my pets like her own. I love that she is a vet tech so my babies were in the best care. She has excellent communication and was always on time. I loved the photos she sent of my cats. She took great care of them. 10/10 recommend!!”

Kory was super great in taking care of our cat while we were away for a week. She was communicative, took care of everything we needed, and even helped clean up a potting soil accident that our cat decided to create. Her help was very appreciated and we would definitely recommend to others.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Forest. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
