About: Animals have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, horses, goats, birds, hamsters, and more, and I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s unique personality, needs, and routines. In addition to personal experience, I’ve worked for the AKC, which gave me an even deeper understanding of canine behavior, care, and communication. I’m especially attentive to pets who may need a little extra patience or understanding, including seniors, anxious pets, reactive dogs, or animals with unconventional routines. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, consistency, and companionship throughout the day. I’m also very mindful of maintaining routines that help animals feel secure and reduce stress while their owners are away. I always tailor my care to each pet’s individual personality, routine, and comfort level. In a client’s home, I do my best to maintain the pet’s normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, litter box care, medications if needed, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of affection and companionship. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially when their owners are away. I’m very attentive to body language, behavior changes, and overall comfort, and I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. I also understand that some pets need extra patience, space, or structure, and I’m experienced with anxious pets, shy cats, senior animals, and pets with unique routines or separation needs. Communication is also very important to me, so I make sure owners receive regular updates, photos, and peace of mind while their pets are in my care.

About: After raising a puppy to become a guide dog for the blind from 2007 until 2009, I was heartbroken (yet very proud!) when I learned that my black lab had moved past her training and would be going on to help a young blind man. Without a dog in my life, I constantly felt like I was missing a much needed companion. I have since gone on to rescue multiple dogs and cats who I absolutely consider my best friends. When my pets need a sitter, I want to know that the person visiting is someone who will show love and affection to make them feel at ease. I am confident I can provide the same level of care I expect for my pets to your pets as well! I currently work 3 days a week at my full time job but have lots of extra time in the week to spend with your pets! I am a firm believer in doing whatever it takes to put your pets at ease and to help them feel the most comfortable. My dog does not use a crate and roams freely when home alone, but I am open to whatever works best and will follow your lead!
