5. Feather L.
About: Not only have I raised and kept animals all my life, including my own bundle of cats and a dog that I currently call family, I have also worked several years professionally caring for animals in day cares, boarding houses, and even get clinics. I am well versed in making sure animals get their medicine as they are required, and just ensuring the animals are happy and comfortable. I work early in the morning but I am off by 1 pm most days, allowing for lots of time for play or companionship in the afternoons! If you are close to my work (within ten miles) I will be able to play for a bit in the mid morning too! I am not able to do any boarding (I currently house 4 cats and a dog), but I am very flexible with following any guidelines or requests! I am able to administer pills to both cats and dogs, and love to spend time either cuddling or playing with animals.

6. Carmen B.

“Carmen was phenomenal. She sent updated pictures and hung out with my fur kids rather than just coming and going. Will be using her again in the future.”

7. Meghan L.
“Meghan is great with animals! She has taken care of my dogs. She has also helped us when we bred our shepherds. She is very responsible and has a huge love for animals! I’ve never seen a dog that didn’t like her! She is a natural! Highly recommend her!”

8. Chelsea W.
About: I've always had dogs and cats since I can remember. I have 3 cats and 1 dog of my own. I work on a mobile vet clinic van on the weekends. I see my pets like my kids. I love taking care of them daily. My pets get extra attention, treats and snuggles every chance I get. I can come in and give your dog potty breaks and feedings. I can also scoop any litter and change any pads. I am also willing to do any brushing as well.

9. Brittany W.

“Brittany has taken amazing care of my babies during my travels! She is so great with cats, even with my shy one! :) We are so thankful for Brittany!”

10. Emily T.
About: I’ve volunteered in rescue organizations since 2012. I’ve fosterered and adopted and currently have a full house of 4 dogs. Experienced with seniors, rescues, anxious, energetic, muscle breeds annd leash pullers - and couch cuddlers. I can dispense medication as needed and have worked with dogs with various conditions over the years. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, but really expanded my knowledge base after adopting my first true rescue Dog in 2012. We treated heart worms and skin conditions and everything in between. I will love your fur baby as I do my own. I am always honored when I can connect with a new fur baby friend. Special needs welcome. I have lots of experience with special needs and senior dogs, more general experience with cat care. I currently work from home and can typically bring my work with me to walk or stay with your pet. I have lived in Birmingham for over 30 years, Calera AL the last 7 years. I can stay with or walk your pets. I currently can’t board in my home because the current residents ( my 4 dogs) have all claimed their special spot on the couch or bed. They already compete to sit next to or walk with mom, so bringing in someone new, even for a short stay doesn’t work well. My schedule is very flexible - so I am happy to come to your home or yard for pet care, walks, feeding and housesitting. I am available with a short notice and ( so far) have holiday availability.

11. Rebekah C.
“Rebekah and her mom came to check on our chickens, duck and cats - all outside farm animals. We had left food and water for all of them but wanted assurance that all the animals were ok while we were out of town. She arrived when she said she would and did what we asked her to do. I know that Rebekah has cared for all kinds of animals for many years and will make a great pet caregiver.”

12. Amanda F.

“Amanda is the best! Very thoughtful and accommodating. My two cats love her visits.”

This allows me the time to care for your fur family. Flexibility with visit scheduling is important. Your instructions will be followed. If there are questions I will ask. Schedules are important and will be followed. Your pets care is top priority.

14. Kaytlyn B.
About: Hi there! I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals is truly second nature to me. I’m a proud pet parent to two lovable pups—Harley, my sweet 6-year-old Boxer, and Lilly, my energetic 1-year-old pittie mix. Whether I’m stopping by for a quick visit or taking your dog out for a walk, I’ll treat them with the same love and care I give my own. Every pet in my care gets my full attention, lots of affection, and all the belly rubs they want. Tail wags are guaranteed! I can’t wait to meet your furry friend and become part of their daily routine! I’m currently a stay at home dog mom and looking for a way to make some extra money doing something that I enjoy! My availability is open. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. During drop-in visits, I make sure they’re fed (if needed), have fresh water, get plenty of love and attention, and of course, a potty break! I’m also happy to play with them, give treats, and provide updates so you know your pet is safe and happy. For walks, I always prioritize safety and fun. I’ll follow any instructions you provide—whether your dog has a favorite route, needs to avoid other dogs, or has specific walking gear. I treat every pet like they’re my own, with patience, care, and lots of affection. Your pet’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities!

15. Trent B.

16. Mel J.
“As a child, when Melanie would come over to my house, my dogs would LIGHT UP they were so excited to see her - more than they would for me! There is no person I would trust more with my pets than her. She treats her own pups like they are children and is meticulous about their care regimens. She is basically the Jackson Galaxy of dogs. Melanie is eccentric, she has the heart of a lion, and you would be lucky to have her as a part of you and your animal's lives.”

17. Tonya A.
“Tonya is a thoughtful, caring, loving, giving, and selfless individual. She has a heart of gold and an even bigger heart for pets. Your baby will be in amazing hands with Tonya. I can't recommend her highly enough.”

18. Jamie E.
“Jamie kept my 6 yo golden over thanksgiving and I cannot say enough good things about the experience we had. From the meet and greet to the actual stay, was a wonderful experience. She had fun playing with Jamie’s dog and I could tell Lida was treated exactly like family, which made this anxiety-filled fur mom feel much better about leaving her. I would 1000% use Jamie again to keep my baby.”

19. Giovanina F.
“If you're looking for a responsible and caring pet caregiver, look no further than Giovanina! I had the pleasure of entrusting her with the care of my beloved fur babies, and she exceeded all of my expectations. Giovanina went above and beyond to ensure that my pets were well-fed, exercised, and loved while I was away. She is not only a responsible and reliable caregiver but also has a true passion for animals that shines through in everything she does. I highly recommend Giovanina to anyone in need of a pet caregiver and am confident that your furry friends will be in great hands with her.”

20. Hannah R.
About: Growing up, I always had several dogs in my home, and have even adopted two of my own. Over the years I’ve gained a lot of experience working with hundreds of animals with a wide range of breeds and pets of all ages and sizes. I have experience taking care of dogs anywhere from feeding to walking to playing (etc) for any age range and any size. As mentioned in the title, I have experience working at Birmingham’s local Humane Society and in that time learned a lot about animal behavior. This will help me ensure an animal’s comfort level, safety and trust during my time caring for them. I believe the key to taking care of animals is showing them genuine love and patience. I love animals and do this work to make some money on the side, but also because it brings me so much joy! All pets are considered family, so it’s guaranteed to treat them as such. Your pet’s happiness and safety are top priority so I aim to create a fun and stress free environment for everyone. I’m currently working side hustle jobs that give me the benefit of working with a very flexible schedule. Whatever your needs will be for me to properly care for for animals will be easily catered to during my time caring for your pet/pets. During my stay at a client’s home, I will be able to cater to the pet’s regular routine. I also am comfortable and experienced giving dogs medication if they are on a vet prescribed medicine. I am happy to discuss any needs of the household and go over any expectations of my tile in your space.
