“She was great with our fur babies. Our dog, Nova seemed really cared for and even our most stubborn cat warmed up to her, which is a big deal. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Michelle is an absolutely wonderful person who loves animals. She was great with her visits. Pictures showed my dog was a happy camper with her around. He’s never been left behind at home. He usually boards at a local facility. They were booked for the holidays, so, I went this route. It was a good decision.”

“Super communicative and so easy to work with! Went above and beyond for my old lady baby. As long as he’s available, Cameron is the only one I’d book for future visits.”

“My cat Biggie enjoyed his time with Emily while I was out of town! She is a great communicator and helped me through my first time using Rover. She left my house clean and ensured my cat was well taken care of every day.”

About: Growing up my household was always blessed with multiple animals. Some of my best childhood memories revolved around my dogs. I had a German Shepherd, a border collie, a Rottweiler, and a couple of rescue pups. My childhood gave me an appreciation for the intelligence and love that dogs can show. I'll admit large bois hold a special place in my heart but there's room for all sizes! I currently work part-time as Coach in fitness. I teach classes early morning 5-9 and late in the evening 3-8, So I am available outside of those classes. I am generally completely available during the weekends! I am very active, I have a lots of stamina and strength to keep up with the pups! I am also very health conscious :)
“We’ve become regulars of Katie due to my work schedule... and she makes me feel so much better knowing she is there to check up on my pup and give him so love while I am at work. Thank you for supporting my #dogmomlife”

“Sara was a true rock star when she took care of our corgis while we traveled. Sara was always on time, she gave detailed descriptions of her time at our house with our dogs. We will happily schedule Sara for more care with our fur babies while we travel. 5 stars!”

About: I have pet sit for neighbors, coworkers, friends, & family for many years! Now that I have been living in Georgia for a few years now I am looking to get back into it. On top of that I have my own dog that I have personally attended 2 behavioral training courses with, so I have a foundation of basic training knowledge! My availability is as follows: All day Mon-Tues Before 2pm & after 11pm Wed-Sat On Sundays, I work double shifts (10am-10pm) & will not be available. I am not able to bring other pets into my own apartment due to pet limitation requirements. However in other’s homes, I am respectful that their space is not mine. I am simply there to conduct my best care for the fur babies while their parents aren’t there. I am more than happy to do long walks/playtime to ensure pets are still receiving mental & physical stimulation on a daily basis. Cleaning up accidents / litter does not phase me at all, as I have dealt with cleaning these things up for many years now. You can trust me to keep your home today while you are away!
About: I’ve had pets my whole life. And I have walked dogs for neighbors in the past. I love animals and love to help them in any kind of way! I am currently looking for a full time job so I have a lot of open availability. I’m very flexible and drive my own car. My apartment is very safe! I have to keep it baby proof for my cat anyway so I am very careful about that. I am very clean and always clean up after myself.
About: Hi everyone! I have been pet sitting for about three years and absolutely adore animals. What sets me apart from other sitters is that in high school I took four years of vet science and learned so much about behaviors and different animal systems. I have also grown up around animals and carry an enormous amount of empathy and respect for them. I do currently work full time so I am mostly available for morning & night visits but I am very reliable:) I am looking for an extra job since I am currently saving for my first apartment! In my clients home I enjoy cuddling with their pets, playing with toys and going on walks. I take very good care of my clients homes and leave it looking fresh every time. At my own home I am always cuddling my cats and giving them lots of kisses and treats😆
About: I've worked as a doggy daycare attendant, volunteered at animal shelters, shadowed a veterinarian, worked at a pet store (Pet Supplies Plus) and worked in small animal husbandry because my love for animals and pets is so strong. I have two cats of my own, along with a dog named Beandip, and I have regularly pet-sit my friend's dogs. I currently am taking care of my boyfriend’s dog with him here in Savannah, but I’ve been working in animal husbandry and care for the past two years. I am currently in the process of getting my Masters in Clinical Research, and any support will help! I try my best to understand where every dog is coming from in how it acts, and consider myself strong-minded. It's hard to make me frustrated, and I care more about a dogs well-being on walks than my own. I follow instructions entirely and communicate if any issues arise.
“So grateful for Melanie who helped us in a pinch with our two cats. She was super communicative and professional from end to end and I will be using for all my pet sitting needs going forward. Highly recommend her services ?”

“My pups are so happy with Mary! I love that she pays special attention to them, not just letting them potty. She actually observes your dogs and reports problems like hotspots etc. I have been very pleased, and will continue to utilize her service.”
About: Hello my name is Jasmin Chaney, a hard worker who takes any job, task or situation in any work environment very seriously. “Sidney was such a blessing helping watch my pups. They were so happy to have her around and they loved the new toys! She kept me posted with updates and pictures of walks and play time. Will definitely be rebooking her for house visits in the future!”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and walked/watched neighbors dogs all throughout high school and can walk up to three dogs at once I’m currently working part-time in Savannah and am flexible with days and times I can watch your dogs, just need a little bit of a heads up! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wilmington Island
This was the first time I’ve ever had someone take care of my fur babies for me and I couldn’t have been happier ! Fernanda took excellent care of them while I was away. She provided great communication, and sent pictures after each visit. Even my girl who is normally very shy went to her right away and let her pet her and play with her. I definitely recommend Fernanda and would love to hire her every time I go out of town.

Haley took such great care of our girls! We were in a pinch, needing a dog sitter for St. Paddy’s on fairly short notice. Haley came to our rescue. We instantly had peace of mind because our pups instantly loved her during the meet and greet. When visit day arrived, she sent so many cute pics of our girls playing outside and relaxing on the couch! She also sent a detailed visit note. We really appreciate the time and care she gave them. You can tell Haley truly has a heart for pet care. We’ll definitely be calling her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
