About: Dogs have been part of my family for as long as I can remember — they’re truly woven into the fabric of my life. After 15 years as a large animal and livestock farmer, I’ve handled every kind of surprise animals can throw at me — so I’m up for unusual circumstances. Your pup will have 10 fully fenced acres to explore, sniff, and zoom to their heart’s content. And they won’t be alone! I have four animal-loving kids who can’t wait to run, play, and snuggle with new furry friends. I work from home, and my kids are homeschooled so we are home most of the time, so we are available for potty breaks and snuggles throughout the day. During the school year we attend a homeschool co-op for much of the day Tuesday and Thursday. We have 10 fully fenced acres for safe, joyful exploring, plus two friendly dogs and four dog-savvy cats to keep your pup company. Crating is available if needed (especially for new potty trainers), but we love welcoming guest dogs right into our daily routine. Your dog can enjoy farm walks, endless ball throwing, and plenty of cozy couch time with us. They’ll feel like part of the family from day one!

“This was our second time having Erica watch our fur babies, and she did an excellent job. She was very reliable and provided both photos and detailed updates after every visit. My cats tend to be antisocial, yet they have definitely warmed up to Erica. We’ll definitely use her again!”

“Shelby had her 1st experience with Angel. It was good, very good, she gave us wonderful notes. The pictures she took showed our baby very happy. We've had 2 sitters 1 Robin k and now Shelby. Skip and I loved them both. We consider them both Top Notch!!!”

“Tamara was amazing in a really stressful situation with our pup when he ran outside and hid from her. She was communicative, found a solution, and ensured they were safe and home quickly. We are so thankful knowing she cares for our dogs like they were her own!”

About: Let me provide you with peace of mind while you're away! I'm a licensed veterinary technician with many years of professional pet care experience. I began pet sitting when I was in high school, got my Bachelor's degree in zoology as well as my dog training certification, worked as a kennel manager for a boarding kennel after graduating college, then went back to school and became a licensed vet tech. Now I'm working part -time, which puts me in an ideal situation to offer some pet sitting services. I also have years of dog training experience, and I train and compete in dog agility in my spare time. As a former kennel manager and as a pet parent, I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your pets while you're away. I know that your pets are members of your family, and they deserve to be treated as such. I will care for your pets as I care for my own fur-babies. I can provide a safe, comfortable home-away-from-home for your dogs where they will get plenty of attention and interaction! My home includes 3 dogs and 2 dog-friendly cats. I have a fully fenced yard for the dogs. If your pet has any medical needs, I can provide them whatever they need. To provide the safest environment for your dog(s) as well as my own, I do request that your dog(s) be up to date on vaccines as well as flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention before staying with us in our home. I also request that puppies be crate trained. As it has come up in the past, please be aware that I am NOT willing to use an electronic/shock collar on your dog while they are under my care. Please understand that I have a young child at home, and her safety is my top priority. For that reason, I can only board dogs that are child-friendly and gentle. If I believe that your dog(s) staying in our home will in any way cause a safety concern, I will decline the boarding request. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, so please don't hesitate to contact me! *Holiday rates apply.* I'm currently working part -time at a local animal clinic, and I have availability to pet sit Fridays-Mondays. Longer stays can be considered on a case by case basis. I have a fully fenced, large yard at my home. I have friendly dogs who love to play, and I live on a quiet, low-traffic cul de sac if your dog enjoys leash walks.

About: Left my career in veterinary medicine to be a stay at home mom currently. I am available to care for all types of pets and livestock. My experience in the clinic allows me to medicate and take care of special cases safely, leaving you worry free while you are away from your fur baby. From growing up on a farm to fostering for local rescues I am comfortable caring for the tiniest kittens all the way up to 150 pound dogs and even farm animals. In nice weather I am available to take active dogs on local trails for hikes or just assist your senior dog on a quick potty break, whichever suits your need best! With veterinary emergency knowledge under my belt I know what to do if an unexpected situation arises while your away and to get your baby the best care in a time of need. Ultimately I would love to establish a on going relationship with you and your pet so we can bond and know eachother instead of putting them through the unnecessary stress of constantly having to meet new sitters each time. Recently became a stay at home mom, can accommodate your daily routine so your pets don’t have to change their schedules for when you’re out of town. I treat your pet and house as my own to make sure everybody is as comfortable as they can be. I’m comfortable with special cases and behavioral issues.

“Communication with Danielle was prompt, thorough, and clear. She took good care of our cat and kitten and gave them love and attention. No problems or concerns whatsoever. I will definitely request her services again next time. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi there! I’m a Fluvanna county native, born and raised In Palmyra, have traveled much since and have been practicing architecture for about 16 years. Working from home this last few years, extra time has proven abundant. Dogs are cared for here at my farm with a completely fenced-in enormous backyard, and 40+ acres of additional farmland with contiguous forest trails and streams. It’s an unbelievable setting for dogs and, as a dog lover myself, I know the most important thing is attentive caretaking. I’ll learn their quirks and tend to everyone as they were my own. Short stays or long, I might be your ideal sitter! I have so many repeat clients and looking forward to building some new ones here around Fluvanna! Happy to arrange pickup or travel for meet/greets within 10mi or so. Or come see the farm, you and your pups will be impressed! Thanks for your interest! Ben Gathright My mom I will usually walk dogs between 1 to 3 miles per day around the property at least twice a day. My farm chores require a couple of hours daily earring sunrise, otherwise I’m at my laptop around the house, usually in the kitchen, working on architectural projects 4 to 6 hours per day with plenty of time for breaks to play with pups and or tend as needed. I’ve cared for dogs all my life and will follow every quirk that every dog has. Im Comfortable administering most oral medications, providing elderly care, maintaining separation as each pet owner prefers. The more I know, the better care I’ll be able to give!

About: I've worked with dogs and cats professionally for over ten years now and also have experience with training. I love getting to know each dog and learning what they like best, whether that’s a quiet walk in the park or some snuggles on the couch and fetch in the backyard. I have experience with all types of dogs and always treat them as if they were my own. I’m currently working part time as a dog trainer so that will give me plenty of time to play with your pups! I’d love to gain regular clients that I can provide reliability for. I always work to ensure they safety of your pet and would love to know what you expect of your dog (whether that’s not jumping/pulling on walk, ect) and with a knowledge in training I can help reinforce the behaviors you like to see! I’m also very good at reading dog body language and love to see your pups feeling comfortable and confident in our adventures.
