“Dusty did an amazing job taking care of our girl and watching our home while we were away. She was great about sending daily updates and took care of everything that we asked. We will definitely be reaching out to Dusty again for any future house sitting needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was around 6 years old, always having a family dog around to look after or helping other family members with their animals. I’m also acquainted with senior and special needs care for cats, as my last cat dealt with needing daily medications and monitoring. I’m currently looking at making this a part-time career/full time career, not currently employed elsewhere and I’m taking a semester off from school so my availability is pretty open Depending on the care needed for the pet, I’ll follow the owners instructions to a tea, I’ll have no issues crating pets, sticking to a routine for visits, and giving them lots of attention during the visit
“Hollynn is amazing! She is a good communicator and treated our dogs like her own. She was able to manage our dogs’ many different quirks with ease and was just a pleasure to talk to all around.”

“Heather did an excellent job watching my pups! She went above and beyond taking care of them and my house. I just moved into a new home and she even helped clean/unpack some and it was truly appreciated! I would definitely use her again and trust she would do a great job!”

“Rachel was wonderful with our cats and took care of our home while we were away for a week. The cats warmed up to her quickly and remained calm with her. Rachel left our home clean and followed instructions. A situation arose at the house while she was at work. She acted quickly and went above and beyond to take care of our babies. Rachel was very communicative and sent pictures each day. We would highly recommend her!”

“If you're ever unsure of leaving your animals, just leave it to Enya! She is a rockstar and we are so relieved to have found a petsitter that takes care of our babies as her own. Our rescue dog has high anxiety when separated from her humans, and we were nervous leaving her for the first time. She took a few days to warm up but Enya was gentle, patient, and considerate of her space and boundaries. By day two, our dog came around. Our cats absolutely adored her from the start and seemed to get along better for her than they ever have for us! Enya kept us updated on the regular and is quick to respond / shift care as needed. Our place was left exactly as she found it, and she even went above and beyond to make our animals' spots around the house even cozier. No need to look further, Enya is your girl!”

“Erica was amazing with our babies! We have a senior pup that needs special attention and Erica took extra special care for her and did amazing. We were so pleased we immediately book her for another longer stay. She is now our go to person!!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family with daily walks, feeding schedules, bathing, playtime, and overnight care. I’m comfortable with puppies who need extra attention as well as senior pets who require patience and gentle care. I truly love animals and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine, even while working Monday through Friday from 8 to 5. I make time every morning and evening to feed, clean, play with, and check on my senior cat to ensure she’s comfortable and well cared for. I’m very organized with schedules and understand how important consistency is for pets, especially seniors. On weekends and during free time, I focus on giving extra attention, exercise, and companionship. Balancing work and pet care has made me dependable, attentive, and committed to providing quality care every day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their specific routines and instructions closely to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. This includes feeding on schedule, refreshing water, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes or outdoor areas, administering basic care if needed, and providing plenty of playtime and companionship. I make sure the home is kept tidy and secure, and I always monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel at ease while they’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and stress-free in their own home.

About: I have extensive experience with pets from doggy daycares to grooming shops to vet clinics. I have been pet sitting and grooming for the last 10 years. My home is basically for my furr babies. They're allowed on the furniture even though they have 5 of their own beds and 4 little hidey houses. They literally have over 100 toys, all kinds, that they are willing to share with any pup they welcome in here. The house is theirs, I just live here and clean up after them. I work from home and I have classes that are mostly online so, I am home basically all day. I'll be able to watch the dogs all day and I let them go outside about every hour or so to go potty. I have a fenced in yard with a few chickens in the yard. I have an above ground pool with a floating doggy dock to make it easy for them to get out of the pool if they ever jump in but its usually closed off unless it is being actively used. I have 2 friendly shih tzu sisters that are spoiled rotten and 2 little kittens that love playing with the dogs. Dogs can go on all furniture and there are plenty of toys to play with. There are a bunch of dog beds and comfy spots for them to chill inside.
“Sarah was great with my senior dog and was able to stay at my place, take him on walks, feed him daily, etc. Would definitely recommend and use her again. Communication was easy and she sent photos during my entire time away. Thanks Sarah!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dogs received this weekend! Leaving your pets with someone else can be stressful, but from the moment we met, I knew they were in great hands. I received regular updates, photos, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious my babies were well cared for, comfortable, and getting plenty of love and attention. When I came home, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly had a wonderful stay. I truly appreciate the kindness, professionalism, and genuine love shown to my pets. It’s clear that caring for animals isn’t just a job—it’s something Rachel genuinely enjoys. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Rachel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur babies!”

“Karen is amazing! Every one of our dogs love her - even the two grumpy old men :) She was patient and kind and let the shy ones come around slowly - the others trusted her immediately. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wills Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wills Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wills Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
