“Fiona is absolutely amazing!! She handled our high energy dog with so much care, & took initiative to schedule a meet and greet ahead of time/ & offered to take him for a walk as well! Highly recommend!!”

“Great care of my cats. Very responsive through Rover app. Always on time. My cats are not stressed with her. Will always use her when available. Leaves cat area extremely neat & clean.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was around 6 years old, always having a family dog around to look after or helping other family members with their animals. I’m also acquainted with senior and special needs care for cats, as my last cat dealt with needing daily medications and monitoring. I’m currently looking at making this a part-time career/full time career, not currently employed elsewhere and I’m taking a semester off from school so my availability is pretty open Depending on the care needed for the pet, I’ll follow the owners instructions to a tea, I’ll have no issues crating pets, sticking to a routine for visits, and giving them lots of attention during the visit
“Heather is so kind and also confident around our reactive dog. I am grateful she is taking time to get to know him so we can leave him with the assurance she would be able to take care of him!”

“Elyssa is great!! She was so kind and patient with our 2 big pups and spent extra time giving them love and attention. She is very communicative and we would absolutely recommend her!”

“Erica did a fantastic job taking care of my furball! She communicated clearly and was very polite, Maggie must’ve liked her as well because she came out to visit each time Erica came by. I will definitely reach out to Erica in the future!”

“Rachel was absolutely incredible! She went above and beyond to take care of Baylie and Peanutt—keeping me updated with sweet messages and the cutest photos. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands. I came home to two happy, relaxed pets and everything was perfect. I can’t recommend Rachel enough—she’s truly one of the best sitters we’ve ever had!”

“Thank you, Jennifer you are awesome thank you for loving on my girls just the way I was thank you for not complaining about the distance. I can’t wait to go on another trip so you can look after the girls and the boys if you’re available thank you.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and truly love caring for them like they’re my own. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, from energetic pups who need plenty of playtime to older dogs who prefer a little extra patience and attention. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away! I recently stepped away from the corporate world to take a break and enjoy a slower pace of life, which means I have very open and flexible availability! I’m available throughout the week and on weekends for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and overnight stays. I’d love to spend some of that extra time caring for your pups! I have a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room for running, playing, and exploring, plus a pool if your pup enjoys swimming! I also have three sweet, friendly dogs who love having new friends to play with. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

About: I have extensive experience with pets from doggy daycares to grooming shops to vet clinics. I have been pet sitting and grooming for the last 10 years. My home is basically for my furr babies. They're allowed on the furniture even though they have 5 of their own beds and 4 little hidey houses. They literally have over 100 toys, all kinds, that they are willing to share with any pup they welcome in here. The house is theirs, I just live here and clean up after them. I work from home and I have classes that are mostly online so, I am home basically all day. I'll be able to watch the dogs all day and I let them go outside about every hour or so to go potty. I have a fenced in yard with a few chickens in the yard. I have an above ground pool with a floating doggy dock to make it easy for them to get out of the pool if they ever jump in but its usually closed off unless it is being actively used. I have 2 friendly shih tzu sisters that are spoiled rotten and 2 little kittens that love playing with the dogs. Dogs can go on all furniture and there are plenty of toys to play with. There are a bunch of dog beds and comfy spots for them to chill inside.

“This was the first time I used Rover, and I was so nervous. The second Ella set foot in my house I felt at ease (which not an easy thing to do). I love the photos from every visit. Already booking my trip with Ella.”

We now have a new dog room with crates and bedding, very large back yard with a divided fence for large and small dogs to be kept separate if need be, and have plenty of room to run and play. “Hollynn was truly amazing. I have never used a pet sitter before and was anxious about a stranger watching my furbaby, but she made it an outstanding experience for us and our cat. Before our scheduled dates, Hollynn visited our home to get the keys, meet our cat, and become familiar with our cats’ needs. She asked questions to thoroughly cover our expectations for care and left our home as clean as we left it! Hollynn truly went above and beyond to help with extra duties around the house like watering plants, offering to get our mail, and even feeding our fish. Our cat also takes a daily pill, which she gave to him with ease. She put her all into caring for our kitty and never failed to provide daily updates, videos, and pictures! I highly recommend her as a pet sitter and can’t wait to book her again for our future pet sitting needs!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
