“Desi was wonderful, she came and meet the dogs and us before we officially booked. She was accompanying when I forgot to book one of the dates and had to add it last minute. She brought treats for the dogs. She sent us regular updates and photos of walks and the dogs relaxing. The dogs seemed very happy while we were away. We will definitely rebook with her next time we go out of town.”

About: I've worked in Animal Welfare for 10 years with dogs, cats, and exotics - with a specialty in Behavior and Enrichment - as well as being a pet owner for the majority of my life. I am Fear Free Certified in Shelter Medicine, and Dr. Sophia Yin's Low Stress Handling Certified. I have received accreditation as a Catch Certified Dog Trainer (CCDT) and as a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP) I take a Fear Free approach to handling and care for pets - providing lots of choice, and enrichment to provide not only physical stimulation but also mental engagement for animals to provide an appropriate environment to allow animals to engage in normal, natural behaviors. I am comfortable providing medication to pets should that be pills, fluids, or injections. For owners with established behaviors with their pets, I am happy to work with them while pet sitting them upon request - and will provide you "report cards" of their progress. I am currently working part time, and do not travel outside of Alaska often. My focus is one the pets in my home, and the pets of my client. There will be no more than 3 to 4 hours crated, however I focus more on the pet and client in front of me and their needs - and have the flexibility to adjust my lifestyle to fit the needs of my clients. I have a fenced acre, with six foot fencing - no animals are left unattended in the yard at any time. I have security cameras long our fencing, and around our house to ensure I have the ability to monitor any incoming people. The neighbors homes are not close to us, and my driveway is a longer driveway covered with foliage so the animals are not visible from the roadway.
6. Alice S.
“Alice is the best dog Mom ever! I do not hesitate to leave my fur babies in her care. She knows dog first aid & CPR (should the need arise to apply this knowledge). All my dogs respond well to her directions and commands, she’s a real pack leader. I would highly recommend that you call Alice to watch your babies too.”
7. Hailey D.
“Everything was great. Hailey took care of my dog and cat Riv & Jiji for two weeks. She made sure to come over a few times before so that they were used to her. Which made me extra comfortable they would be well taken care of.”
8. Amy J.
“She did great! Took great care of my dog. Will be using her again.”
9. Emily B.
“Emily was wonderful! She sent me regular updates, kept our house and pets safe and happy! Our dogs seemed like we had never left with Emily’s care. I would definitely recommend her and will be using her again in the future!”
10. Ariana H.
“Ariana was fabulous. It was a bit last notice. She came over to meet my babies and they took to her right away. My female is a bit more stand-offish and within a couple minutes she was diggin Ariana. She sent me pictures and videos, and even bought a toy for my babies. The house was the way I left it. I will be using her again for sure. Thank you again!”
11. Colleen L.
“After meeting Colleen, I knew my dogs would be happy and safe. She is absolutely lovely. When I returned from my trip my dogs were happy, mellow and calm. It was like a never left. She also sent pictures and kept me up to date. I highly recommend her. Thank you Colleen!”
12. Tammy J.
“Tammy did an amazing job watching our pups while we were out of state for a week. She sent us pictures of them throughout the week and kept us updated on how well they were doing, which we really appreciated. When we came home the house was clean and the pups looked happy and stress free. We will ABSOLUTELY be using her again, our dogs loved her and so did we!”
13. Jade C.
“Jade did an absolutely amazing job of taking care of our cat and dog. She sent so many pics and videos! The house was spotless when I returned! Highly recommend Jade!”
14. Julie B.
“Julie did an amazing job caring for our dog! She was in constant contact throughout the stay giving us updates and even sent us holiday pictures of our dog. He was super happy to see us when we got home and we could tell he was healthy and well cared for while we were away. So happy in fact that I think he’s a bit mopey today as he missed his playmates there. We really wanted a place where he could be a member of the family and both Julie and her husband showed him such love and care. On a just as important aside, Julie is also just a spectacular person and house-sitter as well. We had her watch our place when we were away and she went above and beyond in every way. There were problems with the house-due to extremely cold weather and when the electrical failed she even stayed the night without power, keeping the fires stoked all night so our pipes wouldn’t freeze and burst. Definitely a ten star sitter and more!”
15. Tylin S.
“Both of my boys loved her and the house was clean upon return. We’ll definitely be giving her a call in the future!”
16. Gloria & Maxwell L.
“Gloria is amazing. She house sat for us for 9 days and took excellent care of our geriatric dog. She made our trip stress free and was great at giving us regular updates. She also left our house spotless. So thankful.”
17. Alexis B.
“I highly recommend Alexis. She watched our golden and chihuahua in our home over the Thanksgiving holiday. She was professional and kept us updated. Our pups and home were in great hands! Will definitely book her again.”
18. Natalie M.
“Natalie is one of the most trustworthy young ladies I know. If you leave your fur baby with her, he/she will get the best care possible. I highly recommend her.”
19. Kara C.
“She knows her dogs, and I got my dog from her 7 years ago! She loves dogs and she will take care of your pet, like it's her own. Thank you!”
