“This was our very first time leaving our dog Scarlet with a sitter other than family and needless to say I was a bit anxious...but after our meet and great day I knew Patrick and Susan were the sitters for her! It was definitely like a home away from home feel. They had a great set-up in their home and yard for Scarlet to feel comfortable. They are very caring and went above and beyond with Scarlet. The day we were supposed to drop Scarlet off, she had developed a sore on her hind leg and Patrick and Susan were so wonderful and reassuring that they would take good care of it. We were taking a trip for a week out of the country and felt so comfortable knowing Scarlet was in great hands! All the photos, texts and updates on Scarlet were even more reassuring! We are so grateful to have found Patrick and Susan for Scarlet and definitely will be using them again! We totally recommend them!!”

“We couldn’t be happier with Kristin as our dog’s pet sitter! This was their second stay with her, and when we knew we were going out of town, there was no question—Kristin is the one we wanted to care for them again. She is incredibly attentive and caring, always making sure they’re comfortable and happy. We loved the regular updates she sent throughout the day; it’s clear how much she loves animals and how dedicated she is to providing them with the best care. Highly recommend Kristin to anyone looking for a reliable, loving pet sitter.”

“This was Bodhi’s second stay with Katie and her family. They took wonderful care of him and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who will treat your pet with loving care and attention.”

“Dash had a wonderful week long stay at Renata’s home. Plenty of exercise and outdoor time on their beautiful property on the lake. Would absolutely trust to take care of our dog again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Dani took great care of my baby! She was very flexible and accommodating. She and her family provided a loving, comfortable, and nurturing home environment during his stay. She provided so many pictures and updates throughout each day. Dani catered to changes in his diet and even cooked homemade food to his liking. To say she spoiled him would be an understatement! I definitely recommend the care in her home to any pet parent!”

“Bailey loves visiting Brittany and family!!! Never EVER worry about his care So many photos of Bailey’s antics. Always know what he’s up to because of her amazing communication He becomes an instant member of their family. Absolutely the best sitter!”

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of Trixie! It’s greatly appreciated. While we hate leaving her, knowing someone else cares for her as much as we do makes it a little easier.”

“Morgan was super helpful when I needed a sitter on my road trip! She was so good with Molly and helped out extra since Molly wasn’t feeling the best on my trip and eating irregularly”

“James and Mallory were absolutely amazing to work with! I cannot say enough about how well they treated our old girl! We booked last minute due to scheduling conflicts and they exceeded our expectations! We received daily updates AND photos during her stay with them! I will absolutely have our girl board with them in the future when needed!”

“Christle was very good with keeping us updated on how Rosie was doing. This was our first time boarding our puppy and we would go back to Christle again! Rosie even left with a bag full of treats! Thank you so much for watching our Rosie”

“They took very good care of my sometimes difficult to handle gigantic Anatolian Shepherd Tucker. He made new friends while he was there and almost didn't want to go with me when I came to pick him up! I was happy they took such good care of him and would definitely recommend Jessica”

“I recommend Novelette highly. It seemed to take a bit for our dog to settle in, and Novelette was very patient & accommodating! She was a great communicator & sent plenty of pictures to keep me up-to-date on our dog. She was kind & flexible. Thank you again, Novelette!❤️”

“I am so grateful and appreciative of Sandra‘s loving care of Lulu while I was gone for 13 days. Lulu has a seizure disorder and Sandra was amazing with giving her medication and keeping me updated every day with her status and sending pictures of how well loved and cared for she was. Sandra and her husband John invited Lulu into their home and treated her as though she was theirs!”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
