About: Beyond living with pets every day of my life and my family owns a boarding kennel, I've cared for others' pets in many capacities as an adult. I've boarded dogs in my home, and I've looked after many cats, dogs and birds in their own homes: on both a long-term basis and single drop-in visits as needed. I've also cared for snakes, guinea pigs, fish, rats, chickens, horses, cows, and many exotic animals! I can nearly always accommodate drop-in visits, even around the holidays! My days are flexible, and 'last minute' bookings are more than welcome. I take a lot of care to ensure the health and safety of your animals and your home. I pay attention to signs that might indicate a pet may be in distress or feeling ill, such as changes in their fur, appetite, or digestion. I wash my hands after handling kitty litter and doggy waste bags, especially before handling other items in the home. I'm vaccinated against COVID-19, and I wear a mask in public spaces. I am also Cat and Dog First Aid Certified and taken several veterinary classes. When walking dogs I take all steps to ensure safety, I make sure all collar and leash clips are secure, as well as any harness you may use. I currently work from home so I have lots of time to spend with your pet and give them the attention they need. I am available on weekdays and weekends. We live on 10 acres and the property is all fenced with additional large play ares. I also have 2 standard poodles. I am a certified groomer. I train service dogs in my spare time and have a lot of experience training dogs over the years. If your fur baby requires training I offer that as well.

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, from small ones to, well, for lack of a better word, titan ones. While I have not necessarily trained or cared for puppies, I have cared for dogs who were very very young. I am in between jobs right now and I enjoy finding excuses to spend time with animals, no matter what species they are. I have finished this semester's classes already and am open to any manner of dates to watch a mutt, feline or lizard. I have 2 cats that live with me at the moment but other than that, I have a modest living area, but I do not have a fence on the property.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. I work shorter shifts at Capital Area Humane Society, so my schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. We needed somewhere to put our dogs for an evening for my daughters graduation from MSU and a few hiccups came up along the way and Alex was able to accommodate a few last minute changes. She sent us pictures and videos so we would know the animals had settled in. Definitely would recommend her.”
