About: I have extensive volunteer experience at animal control, 4 years as an animal care technician, and have always had pets of my own. No dog is too much to handle. High energy? Great, let's run. Old timer? That's okay, we can hang out at home. Little puppy? No worries, I can practice training basic commands. I have managed to harmoniously share my life with 3 dogs, 4 cats, bunnies and chinchillas. I would be glad to spread that love to your furry family. No two dogs or cats are alike, so why provide cookie-cutter care? With me, your dog will be provided one of a kind exceptional care. On top of it all, I can take some pretty cute pictures. No worries if your pet is independent or prefers a quiet environment, we are able to separate the house into different wings. At this time I am working from 7-3:30 Monday-Friday, the rest of my time is spent at home with my pets where I am available to provide the same care I will never put your pet in a situation they are not comfortable with and promise to provide what they need for their safety whether it's personal space, a gated off room, time in a crate or social play time with my owns dogs

About: I grew up on a dairy farm, and currently work as a dog bather in Okemos! I am also going to grooming school, and set to graduate in September! I’ve cared for animals all my life. This includes cows, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, guinea hens, sheep and I even have a gecko! I have shown cows and sheep at the county fair, so don’t worry if you have a large dog that likes to pull or play tug of war! I worked at an animal shelter dealing with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I hang out with my siblings often who also have dogs, a cane corso and two elkhound mixes, and we’ve had labs and pomeranians in the past. I have bathed, trimmed nails, and given oral/topical medications to dogs, cats, sheep, and cows. I am also open to taking care of any other pets or farm animals you may have! I work two to three days a week at Dog Gone Fun in Okemos, and do three days of school at Animal Crackers in Hartland. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask! I have cared for a variety of dogs- different breeds, all ages, all temperaments. I grew up with dogs my whole life (among other animals), and I have learned a lot from my experiences about how to read an animals body language.

About: Hello! My name is Jenn and I am a professional pet caregiver and mom dedicated to keeping your pet safe and happy. I am a lifelong pet owner myself with years of experience walking and caring for animals of all sizes. I promise to provide reliable, safe, and loving care and will treat your pet like my own. “Kimberly did a great job. She was prompt and kept me well informed on how my babies were doing, including photos. I would highly recommend her services and I would definitely schedule her again.”

About: My partner has two cats, and I LOVE them both. One of them, Matty, has a lot of special needs we accommodate for such as dietary needs due to upset stomach and slight temperament issues I have learned to calm him down from. The other, Claudia, has skin allergies we also accommodate for. I can feed cats, change litter, snuggle or play with them, most of your needs I can accommodate!

“I highly recommend Claire! She’s very considerate, reliable, and very great in communication! Everyday besides refilling food water and cleaning litterbox, she checked on whether my cat Pirate is doing well, paid special attention to his mood, and updated me with photos. I came back with everything in order and a happy kitty. I will not hesitate to rely on her again next time!”

About: Caring for pets has been an integral and rewarding part of my life, yielding a robust skillset perfectly suited for in-home animal care. My comprehensive experience, which includes fostering over 20 dogs and working directly at an animal rescue, has equipped me with exceptional proficiency in behavioral observation, managing specialized routines, and quickly establishing trust with animals in a new or private setting. My expertise spans various temperaments and breeds, from high-energy puppies requiring consistent training and socialization to elderly cats needing patient, gentle handling and comfort. I am highly comfortable providing detailed, individualized care. I pride myself on my ability to quickly understand an animal's non-verbal cues and maintain their sense of routine and security within the comfort of their own home, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being remains the absolute top priority while providing clear, professional communication to their owners. My current commitments and demands provide me an ideal schedule that will allow for me to focus on providing quality in-home care care to your furry family members. My goal is to provide a worry-free experience for you while you are away. Daily Updates: I send regular updates (usually after each key visit) via text or a preferred app. These updates include photos and/or videos so you can see your pet happy and healthy. Detailed Log: I maintain a log noting the time of feeding, walks, potty breaks (and noting any unusual stools), and medication given. This ensures consistency for multi-day bookings and provides a record for the owner. Immediate Notification: In the unlikely event of any noticeable change in behavior, appetite, or health, I contact the owner immediately, following the pre-arranged emergency protocol. In short, I treat your pets and your home with the passion, consistency, and respect I would give my own family

“Wonderful and thorough care. I never worried about my boy while gone for a week. She anticipated needs even I did not (full litter box change) and went above and beyond in other ways as well. She sends lots of updates which was a comfort while away. She cared for my boy cat Zissou as if her own. 1000% recommend! She will be who I use for any future needs.”

“Teri was great! Clara, my cat, was totally comfortable with her right away. Teri was timely and attentive, I look forward to booking with her again next time I am in need!”

About: I grew up with golden retrievers and have watched neighbor’s pets since I was 14. I just recently graduated from veterinary school and am waiting to start my job. I can handle basic at home medical care for your pets and can catch signs of illness to bring to your attention. Your pets are in good hands! My class schedule changes daily, but I am available most afternoons during the week and am available most weekends. Please just let me know when care is needed and I will try to figure it out. I cannot board any animals as I have my own cat who can be wary of new animals in the home, but I am happy to stay at your home if needed.

About: As a user of Rover for the past two years, I know whole-heartedly the feeling of panic when logistics do not permit the fur-baby to come with. As things are shifting in my life, I would love to provide a sense of ease to those who WISH their pup could come with. Animal behavior and training has been a fascinating field to dig into! Building trusting and positive relationships with animals has been a major life-shaping experience for me. On a personal note - I work full-time from home as an IT consultant. I truly believe that we owe it to the little ones to bring them into their habitat and experience the wilderness as much as possible.

“We took our two dogs to Alice for a day trip - we were headed to Lake Michigan, and wanted to be sure the dogs were well cared-for. Alice was very cordial and her instructions clear. The dogs seem happy and content, and I couldn't believe the report on the dogs I received by email! It was a wonderful thing to see that they were doing well. Nice touch! No doubt a lot of work for Alice, but it is appreciated. We'll definitely book with Alice again. Happy dogs are very important to us.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover currently studying Zoology, with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets of all personalities. I share my home with my Treeing Walker Coonhound, Bear, three cats, and several degus, and I’m especially experienced with shy, anxious, and sensitive animals. The only pets I’m not able to care for are spiders or tarantulas due to arachnophobia, but all other animals will be cared for with patience, respect, and the same love I give my own. While attending college online for my Zoology degree, I maintain a very flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care and meet a variety of client needs. I’m able to provide consistent, reliable care throughout the day and week. I care for pets by following their established routines and providing a calm, safe, and attentive environment, whether in my home or a client’s home. For dog walks and drop-in visits, I focus on exercise, enrichment, feeding, potty breaks, and companionship, while closely following any specific instructions. For in-home sitting or boarding, I provide a structured routine, close supervision, positive reinforcement, and regular updates so pet parents can feel confident and informed while they’re away.

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, from small ones to, well, for lack of a better word, titan ones. While I have not necessarily trained or cared for puppies, I have cared for dogs who were very very young. I am in between jobs right now and I enjoy finding excuses to spend time with animals, no matter what species they are. I have finished this semester's classes already and am open to any manner of dates to watch a mutt, feline or lizard. I have 2 cats that live with me at the moment but other than that, I have a modest living area, but I do not have a fence on the property.
About: Beyond living with pets every day of my life and my family owns a boarding kennel, I've cared for others' pets in many capacities as an adult. I've boarded dogs in my home, and I've looked after many cats, dogs and birds in their own homes: on both a long-term basis and single drop-in visits as needed. I've also cared for snakes, guinea pigs, fish, rats, chickens, horses, cows, and many exotic animals! I can nearly always accommodate drop-in visits, even around the holidays! My days are flexible, and 'last minute' bookings are more than welcome. I take a lot of care to ensure the health and safety of your animals and your home. I pay attention to signs that might indicate a pet may be in distress or feeling ill, such as changes in their fur, appetite, or digestion. I wash my hands after handling kitty litter and doggy waste bags, especially before handling other items in the home. I'm vaccinated against COVID-19, and I wear a mask in public spaces. I am also Cat and Dog First Aid Certified and taken several veterinary classes. When walking dogs I take all steps to ensure safety, I make sure all collar and leash clips are secure, as well as any harness you may use. I currently work from home so I have lots of time to spend with your pet and give them the attention they need. I am available on weekdays and weekends. We live on 10 acres and the property is all fenced with additional large play ares. I also have 2 standard poodles. I am a certified groomer. I train service dogs in my spare time and have a lot of experience training dogs over the years. If your fur baby requires training I offer that as well.

“Olivia did a great job. Our dog seemed to settle in with her just fine. Good daily updates. We appreciated that we felt we could trust her with our family pet while on vacation. We would love to use her services again. Thanks Olivia for taking care of our girl.”

“Cheryl watched my 13+ year old tri-ped for 2 weeks. He was well taken care of, she recognized when his remaining back leg was too tired for a 2nd walk of the day. Took care with him during thunderstorms. My dog and hers got along well. I absolutely would and will book with her again.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Sara and John! They went above and beyond caring for my two dogs this weekend—sending lots of pictures, keeping me updated, and even doing the cutest little activities with them. It was clear my pups were in great hands and having a wonderful time. I felt so comfortable and at ease knowing they were being so well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Excellent! Highly recommended -- This is the second time Michelle has watched Polly for us, and is incredible, excellent communication and takes amazing care of Polly. A++++”

“Alice was so great with my pups! The yard is large and fenced in for safe playtime. Plus, I got pictures while I was away! I will be using Alice again and I recommend her services. Thanks Alice!”

“Jacqueline did a wonderful job taking care of my dog. She provided regular updates with photos and videos of his stay. I was pleased to know he was in safe hands and being cared for. Will use Jacqueline’s services again.”
About: I've grown up with spayed/unspayed dogs, tiny and medium sized, and have bathed them throughout the years. I'm less experienced with cats as I wasn't allowed one as a kid, but I would always play with and look after my friends' cats when I got the chance 😸 I'm currently a student at Michigan State University, with a part time job as an ice hockey referee. I am usually home 18 hours out of the day most of the days of the week! I live alone in an apartment on an upper floor. 650 sq. ft of space, so it's spacious. There is also an outdoor yard if needed. Caring for your pets will give me breaks between studying and homework! I will treat your pets as if they were my own, and making your pets happy will make me happy! 😊
“We always feel completely at ease leaving our pugs with Brooke! It is easy to see she really has a love for dogs and takes excellent care of them. We will hire her again and highly recommend her!”

“Nimbus had a great time with Chris and his family. I was sent updates with pictures regularly and I’m very grateful he was able to watch her very last minute. Would definitely book again! 👍🏼”

“Highly recommend! Cooper was well taken care of and Martha provided regular updates with photos. She went above and beyond, taking him for walks and playing fetch. It was heart warming to see Cooper cuddle up to her as we left, not wanting to leave. A true testament to her care and attention. We will definitely be seeing her for future boarding opportunities!”

“Haley provided EXCEPTIONAL care, from the meet and greet to Milo’s sleepover! I appreciated the attention to detail, communication and the picture you printed of Milo’s stay is now hanging on my fridge! THANK YOU for the special touches you provided. 💗”

“Boji had yet another great time. He's super happy and ready to sleep the night away! Definitely book with him! They are the best out there and the most flexible!!”

“Lauren watched our dog over a holiday and made our vacation so much easier and more enjoyable! The updates and photos were so appreciated. I don’t think our sweet Ivy wants to leave her! We have never tried Rover because it was hard to find an affordable and trustworthy person - Lauren is it!!”
