“Dawn is awesome! You can tell she deeply cares for all the animals in her care. She’s responsive, thoughtful and, overall, just a fantastic person. My dog was wiped out after playing so much. I will definitely trust her again to take care of my pet.”
“Debbie and Randy were so accommodating, helping me unload my pup's accessories when I arrived, and had no probable watching Adrian a while longer due to my flight delays. I could tell my pup felt co.fortavle staying with them, and that means the world to me!”
“Avery and her family did great with our boys! She was super responsive, and sent us updates and pictures while we were out of town. So glad to know our boys were in good hands. Will definitely use her again!”
“Our 7yo mini goldendoodle stayed with Sabrina and her family for a week. She was happy when we picked her up and has been napping steadily since we brought her home. We did miss routine photo updates so will definitely ask for that specifically next time. Highly Recommended!”
“They were great. They made sure both my boys were safe and well taken care of. They made sure my active boy Moe (Border collie) received his running and play time and that Buster, my mastiff was also there for play time and ear rubs. The videos of free roaming made me smile.”
“Leslie was so great with my dog Payton! She would send me pics and keep me posted on how things were going. You can tell how much Leslie loves animals and how much she really cared about taking care of my dog! Will definitely use her again! Thanks for everything!”
About: I have had and taken care of animals for over 20 years. I love all animals and have experience with a wide range of animals. Small dogs, big dogs, cats, reptiles, aquatic animals, and rodents. All animals are cute and worthy of attention and love in my eyes! I currently work remote so your furry friends will get basically all of my time. Whatever, whenever, I got them! I stay up late and don’t sleep in late so there will be very little time that they won’t have my full attention. I have a good sized yard, not fenced in but I will always escort your pooch (or kitty) on a leash and let them wander and dilly dally as long as they want. My cat will keep your furry friend company as she loves to cuddle! I can also keep your pet and mine separate if that’s better suited for them, and can crate your animal if you have a routine.
About: Life is better with dogs—and my English Bulldog, Dolly agrees! I'm a retired, lifelong dog lover and owner with 6 years of experience caring for dogs for family and friends. I offer boarding at your place (possibly with my dog, Dolly tagging along, if you are OK with it), dog walking, feeding visits, and playtime visits, all with lots of love and attention for you fur baby! I have always had dogs in my life, many reaching senior age and even a couple with medical issues, but all have been well cared for and loved beyond measure. As I said before, life truly is better with dogs! As a retired teacher and dog lover, caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. I have plenty of time to dedicate to dog sitting, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. My flexible schedule allows me to be available most days and times, ensuring your pup receives the best attention and care possible. When caring for dogs at your location, I always provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they feel safe and receive plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, and walks. It is my goal that your dog feels relaxed and happy under my care, and I will do my very best to make sure of that! Since I'm retired with a very flexible schedule, your dog will not be left alone for extended periods and we will enjoy plenty of companionship throughout the day. My English Bulldog, Dolly, is friendly, easygoing, well-behaved and gets along well with all other dogs. She enjoys having a playmate, is always happy to make a new friend, and she sleeps a lot! lol! If possible, I love to have her join us when I am sitting for other dogs. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own and provide owners with peace of mind knowing their fur baby is in loving hands.
“Leslie is an amazing sitter! My rescue dog is very anxious and discerning when it comes to new humans, and she absolutely loved her stay with Leslie and can’t wait to run it back.”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
93% of sitters in Willettsville can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Willettsville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Willettsville.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
