“Dawn was AMAZING with my dog, Ellie!!! She was so accommodating and sent great photos. My flight got delayed twice while I was in Florida, and Dawn was so understanding and responded to my messages immediately. She let Ellie stay an extra day and even let me pick her up late in the evening when my flight finally got in. Thanks so much for a great, stress-free trip, Dawn!!! Will definitely be booking with Dawn again!”

“Jessica is great! My old dog is a bit needy and she was so sweet, meeting him where he’s at and not complaining about giving him extra attention. My kids and I all loved that she sent daily updates with photos. We will definitely check in with Jessica next time we need a sitter!”

“We have used Aparajita several times now and hope she never stops offering her care! She is amazing every time and it’s the best feeling to be able to leave your fur baby somewhere knowing they will be well taken care of. Thank you again for being Kuma’s best step mom!”

“Honestly if I could rate her 10 stars I would. Avery is incredible. Not only did I receive photos and texts everyday, Dodo was so happy when I picked her up! I have never had to leave her with anyone else who wasn’t a family member and was so nervous to try rover. But after meeting Avery I felt so comfortable leaving Dodo with her and will 1000% use her every time now for dog sitting while we are gone.. we love her so much. If you are hesitant at all- don’t be. The reviews are accurate and 100% honest. We couldn’t have picked a better family to care for our dog. Thanks so much for everything Avery!”

“Dariana was an excellent sitter for Luna. She was responsive, flexible, and provided regular updates. Luna very clearly was happy and comfortable during her stay. I would 100% recommend her! 😊”

“Hazbleydy I. & her husband were great! My dog can be very anxious and is usually not fond of new people but she had a great time at their house. Hazbleydy kept me updated with pictures the entire time, and even went out to get supplies for my dog that had ran out of during the stay. I would highly recommend her!”

“I was so nervous about leaving our newly rescued bulldog when we went on our first trip. Paula and Thom put all of my worries at ease instantly. Clearly dog-people, they showed him great attention during our meet and greet, asked thoughtful questions about his personality and preferences, and demonstrated a real knowledge and care for dogs. During our trip, I received frequent photos, which I appreciated immensely. Mack seemed to settle right in and make himself at home. Thank you, Paula and Thom, for your thoughtful care of Mack!”

“Koa had a great stay with Kathleen and her family! We got lots of cute picture updates. Will definitely use her again for future doggie sitting. I think she found her second family!”

About: I am a registered nurse so I am comfortable giving any medication your dogs may need. I’ve grown up around small, medium, and large dogs and am always looking for a furry companion in need of a staycation while their humans are away. I do not currently have any pets and will not take multiple bookings so rest assured your four legged family members will be able to relax without having to make friends with others. I work full-time. But am able to board on the weekends, Friday through Sunday late afternoon pick up. I am off one day a week and so if you need a doggy daycare for the day, I am more than happy to accommodate. Since I will be off on the days that I am boarding or caring for your pet. They will have endless time on the furniture, endless cuddles and at least one walk a day. If you are in the middle of training a puppy if you give me your training routine, I will practice it with them as well. I do not have a fenced yard. So outdoor time will be leashed walks. If they are potty trained, and they are used to sleeping on the bed they can sleep in my bedroom at night. If they are not potty trained, or a little more weary of new people, they will be baby gated into my kitchen at night only.
“Nicole and her family were amazing with our dog, Maverick. He has some separation anxiety and he did so well in their care. They will be our go-to dog sitters from this point forward.”

“This entire family took great care of our senior girls! The kids helped with the walks and gave lots of snuggles which were much appreciated. We received updates and pictures and could tell our pups were being well cared for. Thank you!”

“Rosangela did a wonderful job with our dog. My dog was torn between staying and going home when we arrived to pick her up. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay. Will definitely be using her again!!”

“I was very pleased with Roxie’s stay! Stephanie and her family were awesome. They were very considerate and made me feel at ease leaving Roxie in their care. We received lots of communication and photos during our trip. Roxie seemed to have a great time and enjoyed the attention she was given. I would highly recommend Stephanie and hope Roxie can stay again next year when we go on vacation!”

“John is exactly who we needed. Best dog sitter I have ever used. I enjoyed my vacation more knowing that my little dog was in such good hands. He checked in regularly with updates. Took Birdie on walks and to visit friends and family. She came home very happy. Already have plans to use again!”

“Sophia was a great sitter for our Havanese Bru! Our pup is friendly but not very social and doesn't like walks, and Sophia adjusted to Bru's unusual dog behavior. She sent messages letting us know that Bru was making herself at home. We will definitely call Sophia again!”

“Lerae took excellent care of our 16 year old pup in her home for 2 1/2 days. She sent us updates and pictures several times throughout the day and Oscar came home relaxed and happy. Lerae is kind and responsible, has an obvious love for dogs as well as experience caring for an aging pup. I feel so relieved and grateful we found her. Oscar is very happy :) knowing he will get to hang out with Lerae and Josie again soon!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Dodsonville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Dodsonville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Dodsonville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
