While I do not hold an official license to practice clinical medicine, perform surgeries, or prescribe medications here in the United States, my medical background means your pet will receive the safest, most knowledgeable care possible. What I offer: *Puppy Care Specialist: I know how fragile 2-month-old puppies are. I design strict potty training schedules, enforce safe socialization, and keep them mentally stimulated without risking their health. *Special Needs & Senior Care: I am fully qualified to administer oral medications, monitor chronic conditions, and handle senior pets with mobility issues with extreme gentleness. *A Safe Environment: My apartment is a pet-proofed, cozy home. I focus on high-quality, closely supervised care. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my absolute priorities. You will receive frequent updates, photos, and the peace of mind that a veterinary professional is watching over your furry family member! I work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to dedicate my time, play, and care to your pets. I am fully available for boarding on weekends, and Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 AM. Your pet will rarely be left alone! My apartment building features spacious, secure green areas perfect for your pet to exercise and play. About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life. I have also grown up raising birds, cats, and rabbits. I had my first pet-sitting business when I was just 11 years old. I am a current dog and cat mom. I aspire to be a dog trainer and have my own business one day. I have successfully trained my own dog in a variety of different skills and I am eager to gain even more knowledge to work towards my career. I have 3+ years experience working in a dog daycare/boarding facility. I have experience working with dogs of all sizes and all temperaments. I also have experience working with dogs with special needs. I just moved to the area and I am currently looking for a full-time position in the animal care field. In the meantime, I am looking to find work through Rover to stay caught up on finances. I do plan to continue using Rover for side-work after finding a full-time job. I also believe it could help me gain experience towards my career goals. My schedule is very open at the moment. I take my dog on walks every evening and have training sessions for an hour every day. Since I live with other people currently, I can only pet-sit in clients’ homes. I do have a very friendly 5-year old doodle who loves to play with other dogs, so I can always bring him along to keep your pet company. I follow my clients’ instructions to the tee whether regarding potty schedules, feeding schedules, bathing, walking, playing, training, etc. I can also do any additional services if need be while caring for your pet at your home.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs since I was about 10 years old. I have good experience with giving oral medications and giving support to dogs with anxiety or anxiousness. Great with walking dogs with all different sizes and energy levels. I also have great knowledge when it comes to cleaning care for puppies or seniors rather that be in cages or any where within the house. I support rescue services for pets as I have adopted a dog from Tails myself. Lastly I am great at managing multiple dogs at once as I currently have three dogs with my family. I am currently take a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) class as I am looking to become a nurse in my future. I starting college this year so I’m looking to find a job during this summer. With having CNA class I am available most weekdays and for sure weekends. I have class Tuesdays and Wednesdays being available after 12:30 and have Friday Clinicals at a Nursing home in DeKalb leaving that day majority full. While in my own home or a clients home I always make sure the pet feels like their in a comfortable and safe environment with surroundings and with me. A pets health mentally and physically is really important to me as I make sure they get the right exercise, rest, attention and love they of course deserve. Keeping them with their daily routines and schedule is also very necessary to me when it comes to feedings and water, play inside and outside, rest and walks which are my favorite. Keeping my clients home clean and protected is also something very important to me as it helps the dog be familiar in their safe and comfortable space and also help the owner gain trust and rely on me as much as possible! Updates are a really big thing I offer service to, I am a really great communicator and responsible person so letting them know how their pet is doing and being cared for is very critical.

About: Hi! I’m Michael, and caring for dogs isn’t just something I do. It’s been a huge part of my life since 2010. For over 16 years, I worked as a professional dog walker, pet sitter, trainer, and route manager in the Chicago area. During that time, I worked with two highly respected pet care companies, Worthhee and Swooft, where I wasn’t just trusted to care for clients’ beloved pets, but also to manage walking routes, train and onboard new team members, and help maintain the high standards our clients expected. Over the years, I’ve cared for just about every breed, size, age, and personality imaginable. From energetic puppies learning good manners to gentle senior dogs needing extra patience and specialized care, I’ve truly seen it all. I’m experienced administering medications, caring for dogs with medical conditions, changing diapers for senior pets, working with reactive or anxious dogs, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I’m also certified in Dog and Cat CPR, because I believe our pets deserve someone who’s prepared for the unexpected, not just the everyday. These days, I’m the Assistant Store Manager at Blain’s Farm & Fleet in Sycamore. One of my favorite parts of the job is getting to meet all the puppies and dogs that come through the store… but honestly, it’s never enough! I miss spending my days working directly with dogs, which is exactly why I’m joining Rover. A few years ago, life took me in the best possible direction. I met my amazing wife, fell in love, and she convinced me to trade Chicago’s busy streets for the quieter life in Sycamore. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. We love our community, and I’d be thrilled to get to know yours, one wagging tail at a time. Whether your dog needs a long walk, an afternoon of play, medication, extra patience, or simply someone who will treat them like family while you’re away, you can count on me. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your best friend, and I take that responsibility seriously. I look forward to meeting you and, more importantly, your pup! I have wide open flexibility with my job at farm and fleet I am able to make sure your pup gets the car that they need! I unfortunately can not offer in home pet care due to the fact that my sweet pitbull is a little reactive to other dogs, but I am able to travel to you and give you dog the best care in the area guaranteed.

About: I'm located in Sycamore, IL and am familiar with the surrounding area. I’ve been caring for dogs of all ages and sizes for most of my life, from puppies to senior sweethearts. Whether it’s playtime, long walks, or just plenty of cuddles, I make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and loved. About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and can't imagine a home without them! I’m new to Rover, but because I don't currently have a pet of my own, I have plenty of love, attention, and energy to give to yours. I've been a trusted dog sitter for friends and family for years, and I'm excited to meet even more through Rover! I believe pets are family, and I treat every dog with the same care, patience, and affection I'd want for my own. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or just some extra company while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’ve always found ways to get along with any animal! I don't currently hold a full-time job position, so I'm pretty flexible during the week for my schedule. I have other side jobs and am picking up shifts when I can, but I'm willing to move things around to suit what works best for you and your pet. I am able to host one dog at a time in my home for certain periods of time. I do not have any other animals living in my home, so there would be no interactions with any other dog while in my home. I also have a fenced in backyard so your dog is always in my view and very safe. The rest of my family members are also huge dog lovers, so while I would be the caretaker, your dog is able to experience all the love my home has to offer. I am sure to follow all directions as needed regarding your pet in my house or yours. I'm very detail-oriented and sometimes a perfectionist, so following instructions to ensure your dogs health and safety is something you don't have to worry about with me!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Wilkinson. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Wilkinson.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wilkinson. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
