“Valerie was terrific! She treated our little Hattie like her own and provided routine updates with pictures. We've already scheduled our next Doggy Day Care!”

“Juniper had the best day with Adrienne and her pupper. I felt very secure leaving my furchild with her and appreciated all the photos and videos.”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!! Never seen someone so amazing with a newborn puppy!!!! Joe sent me updates throughout the day of Jewelz and just constantly reassured me! I will return!!!!!”

“Gregory was an awesome sitter! He was so easy to communicate with and was super laid back. He listened to my pups needs and made sure pup was happy. He has the sweetest dog (Zora) that I have ever met. I’m so glad I found Zora and Gregory. I’ve never seen my pup leave as happy as he did, this sit:)”

“Alexis was very responsive during our "interview" stage and very pleasant upon arrival. Although prince was anxious to leave he seemed to be comfortable and safe and that's all that mattered. Thank you for being available.”

“Christy has watched Peach throughout her entire life; sometimes it was a weekly basis, a few times she watched her at a last minute Emergency notice, and had even boarded her over a long weekend. Peach isn't a big fan of humans but loves going to Christy's, getting to visit with her friends. Peach loves her dog Louie and playing with the other pups that she takes care of. I enjoy the photo updates, I am happy that Peach feels safe and I feel comforted while she is in Christy's care, and that Christy allows the dogs on the furniture-Peach even got to sleep in bed when she stayed. I hope I never have to go through the process of figuring out another sitter because Christy is the one for us; Highly Recommend for any of you and your pets needs! Thank You Christy for Everything over the last 3 years!!!”

“Justin was great as he was able to accommodate a late evening daycare visit for our dog Fran while we went for an event in town. He was incredibly accommodating and flexible with the timing and was very eager to help. His corgi Watson is adorable and a very social dog. Our dog was anxious but Justin was able to keep her company and sooth her while we were gone for a few hours, she eventually relaxed and laid her head on his lap! I would highly recommend Justin to take care of your dog as he loves them and provides great care for them.”

“My puppy Breya seemed to be having fun by the pictures that were sent to me. When I picked her up she was tired and didn't even want to stick her head out the car window on the drive home. To me that means she had a good time and was occupied while there and not just laying around being ignored. She is an active puppy. Definitely will schedule with Amy again.”

“Carol has been very responsive and has taken in our girl Georgie. Georgie is a little timid and backwards at first, but Carol made her feel right at home. Georgie took to her welcoming, home environment and settled right in. She gets along great with the other babies being baby/dog sat, and Carol is very good with her. We will be using Carol in 2025!”

“Sara was available last minute for our dog which we really appreciated. She was great with him and sent us plenty of updates and photos. She was flexible with our schedule too. I highly recommend her!”

About: Animals have been a passion of mine my entire life! I have owned and loved cats and dogs of all ages and sizes since I was 10. I would love to show that same love to your babies, too! I am available to do in-house stays, walking, play dates, and much more! I work full-time, but work from home so that makes it easy for me to care for your furry friend. My weekends are usually filled with playing with my puppies, but I would love to make time for your pets to join us for walks or play dates! I have a fenced in yard and an open floor plan home that allows for plenty of room to play, rain or shine. I live on a quiet street that makes walking your pet a breeze. All doors remain shut in my home to ensure no nosy pups can get in to things that they should not. I am big on taking pictures and can keep you updated on the status of your pet to ensure you feel comfortable with leaving your pet in my care!
“Such a lovely woman. Sami and Bleu must have had a wonderful time. They had lots of playmates….wore them out. They have been sleeping since we left. I will definitely get in touch again. Thank you so much Regina.”

“Lucas, his dog Luna, and their whole family are wonderful! This was Walter’s first Rover experience and he had an amazing time! His seven month old self has never been so tired!!”

“Steve was a big help so we could have peace of mind that Maive was being well cared for while we where visiting In the east Pittsburgh area. Big fenced in yard! We had to change the drop off time and Steve always quick to respond, would definitely use his dog sitting services again.”

“It was Riley's first road trip to Philly (from GA). While his humans cheered on the Temple football team, Brittani provided excellent care and showed Riley around! She even took professional-grade photos of his walks! And, Riley enjoyed playing with her fur baby. If Riley's in town for any other home Temple football game, he'll be asking to go to Brittani's!!”

“Deanna could not have been better with my two dogs. My Malamute was getting jealous of any attention Deanna got from any other dog, including my Pomsky, and she handled it wonderfully. She, very obviously, loves dogs and knows how to handle them. Also, her dogs were wonderful.”

“Tia was a great puppy sitter for our Monty! She updated us throughout the day with videos. Monty was playful and happy. She took great care of our fur baby! Would definitely recommend her.”

Katarina is the best! She is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. She not only cares for the dogs but also prioritizes their safety. She made Nova feel so welcomed. It’s rare to find a dog sitter who is both well-trained and genuinely attentive to dogs’ needs. I will definitely be bringing Nova back to her!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
