“Madalyn did an excellent job taking care of our fur baby while we were on vacation. She is very reliable, trustworthy, and clearly loves animals. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pet, and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. We highly recommend Madalyn and will definitely book her again!”

About: I love animals all shapes, sizes, and ages! I’ve taken care of many animals in other’s homes— but back home (on the mainland), I have a rescue rottie who’s 4 and a sweet kitty! I can handle big dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with special meds or dietary restrictions. Let me care for your babies! I do work in the afternoons, but other than that I’m pretty free to walk/feed in the mornings and evenings. Your pet will never be left along for more than 8hrs! I’ll come to your home throughout the day as many times as your pets may need! I’ll be sure to play with them, give them food/water, let them out to potty, and make sure all of their needs are taken care of so you won’t have to worry!
“Daija was amazing with our pups! She was very communicative with us while we were out of town and sent lots of cute videos of our pups having fun!! Definitely will be rebooking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We felt so comfortable leaving our dogs with Tiffany. She was punctual, attentive, and gave them all the love and attention they needed while we were away. We came home to happy pups, fresh water, and poop scooped. It was such a relief knowing our fur babies were in good hands!! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter! 🐾”
“Rebecca was amazing taking care of my very shy cat. She got him to come out by day three! I got videos and plenty of pictures every day. This really did make my vacation better knowing my little man was in such good hands. Thank you so much for taking time with him!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of various ages, genders, and life stages for friends and family. I have experience taking care of senior pets in critical condition and have handled emergency situations with urgency and care. I take animals’ wellbeing very seriously and I love taking care of them. I am currently unemployed and take online college classes so I have lots of free time! My only obligation is driving my partner to/from work but it’s easy to work around that! My cats are strictly indoor only and I play with them everyday to ensure they are getting good exercise and entertainment. A pet’s safety is my number one priority, they will not be left unsupervised or unleashed outside of the household while they are under my care.
“Kenzie did drop in visits and walks while I was away. She is very knowledgeable, conscientious, and professional that I felt assured about the care of my pups. Highly recommend Kenzie to watch after your pups. Thank you Kenzie!”

“MaryAnn was a huge help and great cat sitter. She was super communicative and got back to me fast. She’s more than prepared for any situation to keep your pets safe! Thank you!!”

“This was our second time having Kristina watch our cat Zeke. She is so kind and great with our old boy! She gives him his pill, cleans his litter box, and cleans up after his litter mess on the floor. She feeds him on time and always sends us great pics. I trust her completely and always appreciate coming home to a clean house. I highly recommend her, she always puts my mind at ease.”

“Leonard was great! Kept my 3 cats alive and well! Gave me great peace of mind knowing they were well cared for when I went back to the mainland to deal with my mom's care.”

“Our two small doggies had very good care while we were away. Both doggies were happy and comfortable, and our doggie on meds got them twice a day without fail. Dagmar has excellent communication - couldn't be any happier there. We recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book her again!”

“Moana was very content when we arrived home last night. I was so glad the photos Bridget sent us and Moana looked like two connected together 😃🤙🏻 When we planned another trip we will definitely contact Bridget to watch Moana 😃🤙🏻”

About: I have over 3 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I also have experience with puppies and senior dogs, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My goal is to give every pet a fun, secure, and stress-free experience As a mom and stay-at-home parent, I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. I’m available on weekdays after 2pm and all day on weekends for boarding, walking, and playtime. Being home most of the time allows me to give your pets constant love and attention. As a mom and pet lover, I provide a safe, loving, and family-style environment for all pets. My home has a fenced yard where dogs can play, plus two friendly dogs to keep them company. About: What sets me apart is that I truly love animals and have over four years of experience caring for pets. I’m responsible, patient, and make sure every pet feels safe and comfortable. I also have experience with puppies, including basic training, feeding, walking, and giving them lots of attention and care. I am a military spouse therefore I do have BASE access! Pet care fits well into my routine, but it depends on my part-time work schedule. I usually have plenty of free time before or after work and on my days off. I’m flexible and do my best to work around your pet’s needs, whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, or check-ins throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. This includes feeding them on schedule, giving them fresh water, taking dogs on walks, cleaning litter boxes, and spending time playing with and giving them attention. I also keep the home clean and make sure the pets are always supervised and cared for. I treat every pet like my own and do my best to make them feel loved while their owners are away.
About: Animals have been by career and passion for the last 8 years. I began as a Kennel Technician at a busy dog and cat boarding/daycare/grooming facility and worked my way up to General Manager. I've handled everything from puppy playgroups to behavioral challenges and medical emergencies. I am Canine CPR certified so you can trust that your pups wellness is my top priority. I have experience with all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. At home I care for my 5 year old epileptic Border Collie, as well as my 2 cats. If your pets do no get along with cats, they can be kept in the upstairs area. I currently work part time at home, answering phone calls for the Dog Daycare I worked at back home! Personally I am a homebody and rarely leave the house unless we are camping or visiting family. I love taking my pup on walks once or twice a day, as well as my cats who love joining in their stroller! I understand how hard it is to leave your pet with someone new. Your pups physical safety and emotional wellbeing will always come first. I am highly trained in safe dog handling, group management, behavioral assessment and emergency response. I am Canine CPR certified and experienced in administering medication, monitoring medical concerns, and recognizing early signs of stress or illness. My home environment is calm, clean and organized. Pets are never left unsupervised in unsafe situations, and I follow structured routines to help them feel secure. You can trust that your pet will be cared for with the same level of professionalism and vigilance I maintained in a licensed facility.

Corinne was just outstanding! She took great care of our cat during our month-long vacation providing a detail report on each visit along with photos. She was also very responsive to our texts during our vacation and bent over backwards to accommodate some last minute requests. We came home to a happy cat! As of September 2026, there are 682 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Whitmore Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitmore Village. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
