“I can confidently say that I found a sitter that I have wanted for a long time - someone who is responsible, caring, and responsive. I could easily tell that Amita and her family are good people who genuinely care about animals and dogs that visit for boarding. She sent me pictures of Teddy (my dog's name) every day with long messages on how he is doing, where he slept, and what he is up to at the moment. Also, one of the most important criteria for me was whether a sitter has enough space for Teddy to run around and enjoy time with a sitter and/or other dogs. Amita's place was HUGE with a fenced yard, and all of her dogs were extremely friendly, not only to people (as in me) but also to Teddy. I highly recommend Amita for those who have dogs that like playing with others, taking a walk, and swimming (Amita's place had a small pond where dogs could play). I have tried many dog sitters, whether on Rover or through friends. As much as I love my dog, I had so many instances in which I could easily notice red flags (e.g., Teddy coming back sick with his own diarrhea on his leg (meaning that the sitter did not even care to clean his legs), sending pictures for the first couple of days and going silent, not wanting to share the exact location of the boarding place, etc). Amita has been the best so far among many I have experienced! Highly recommend!”

About: My family has always loved animals so its basically a zoo at my mom’s house: 2 german shepherds, 2 snakes, 1 cat, 4 rats, and 1 mouse. I used to have bunnies and a raven. Any pet is welcome in my opinion and I would absolutely love to meet yours. I have currently started a new job and don’t have a set schedule so it’s best to just message me so we can find a perfect time for you and your pet! I usually work very early mornings but have the entire afternoon open. Although I have had many pets we ensure we take the best care of them. Both of my dogs have special needs whether it’s with food or behavior so we accommodate to whatever they need. The cat is very old and needs assistance with things such as jumping or using the bathroom. I am willing to take care of your pets in whatever way you and your pet needs!

“Malia is a delight! She is very sweet, understanding and you could tell genuinely cared for my dogs. The dogs were very comfortable with her, and she understood the needs of one who was a bit of a flight risk, and she made sure everyone was secure at all times. In all the photos she sent, the dogs looked very happy, and they got along very well with her dog. She was proactive in her communications and photos, which I appreciated. They had a good amount of play time, and they were in great spirits at pickup! Malia even provided a written summary of things I should know during their time with her and a little something at pickup. I will happily use Malia again when in town!”

“I really don’t like leaving my Henderson behind because it makes me sad and feel guilty when he doesn’t get to experience everything with me. But Amelia made me feel like he was having just as good of a time with her. The night before I was super anxious about leaving him behind, but she constantly gave me updates and sent me pictures and it made me feel really good the entire time. She took him on multiple walks a day, and was very flexible when I needed to change the drop off/pick up times. If I ever have to board Henderson again, I will 100% be contacting her again! And the best surprise ever was finding a cute little Polaroid of him in his bag!!! 😭🥹”

About: I have a year of vet assistant training, as well as years of volunteer work ranging from humane societies, to farms, to wildlife biology. I love animals and will be an employee at a vet hospital very soon. I’m hoping to be of service to my community and help out in any way I can with your pets! I have classes at college 9am-3pm on Tuesdays, and 9am-12pm every other weekday. Other than that I am available all day! Weekends I’m fully free and can be of service anytime! I make it a priority to treat pets, and their owners, with the highest respect. I am very knowledgeable in animal behavior and psychology, as well as care and handling. Pets get their needs met whether it be in my home, your home, or out on a walk.

About: Hi everybody, I have recently joined Rover, and I am so excited to get started! I have always grown up around animals ever since I was young. Over these last two years I have worked in an animal hospital as a veterinary assistant. I mainly worked alongside doctors doing medical records, restraint administrating vaccines discussing with owners on proper care I also was involved in some surgeries and many treatments. I enjoy working with every animal I encounter. I did a year-long program to become veterinary assistant certified. I also completed the WSU scribe certificate program, I am OSHA certified, I also have certifications in animal restraint, medical terminology, and animal science. I am currently enrolled in more animal science classes, and I am continuing my education. I have extensive knowledge in and behavior and signs. I have experience with dogs, cats, hedgehogs, fish, snakes, mice, Guinea pigs, horses and goats too. Animal care is very important to me, and I hope I can make a positive experience and impact with every animal encounter. I am a full-time college student, but on my free-time I love working with animals, since moving to pullman I have been away from my childhood pets and need my animal fix! Tuesday and the weekends I am available and would love to get to know your pet! Holidays I will be away and unavailable, but any time I am free I would love to take care of your pet! I will make sure I am focusing on the pets needs and the proper care that is required. I will try and make it a fun positive experience to the best of my ability. I enjoy building a relationship with the pets I encounter if they are willing to as well.
