14. Mckensey D.
About: I have been a pet owner all my life! In college, I had a job as an animal groomer and worked with 100s of different breeds, temperaments and personalities - cats and dogs. Currently, I am a young professional in Whitefish that works evenings, giving me space to care for your animals through the work day, early mornings, weekend getaways, etc. I am available for overnights at your place, and have a fenced yard at home, walking distance to the dog park! I recently lost my catahoula, Rigby, of 13 years together to cancer and while navigating that loss, would love to share all my love and undivided attention with your dog, cat or any animal in between I can adapt to your pets needs, as I am continuously learning about different breeds and personalities - from high energy to the couch potato; shy, friendly, sassy - each and every one has an individual story and needs someone to understand their unique needs! I work in the day now, but will be back to hospitality soon, the days rotate each week so I am flexible with times! Early mornings, and standard work days, evenings, overnights - are the best times for me to help. What are your needs? Atn: Please please do not schedule a meet and greet if you are planning on getting your pets watched last minute by the neighbor kid etc because it’s free; please be respectful of my time traveling to you in your home, I highly value reciprocated commitment and respect on your end; if the meet and greet does not work out, please inform me why or how I can improve, or if it’s not a good match we can discuss this as well! Meet and greets are the most important part of this job to ensure trust in each other ❤️ I am available to come to your home and care for your dog in their familiar environment. Show me your routine and I can adapt to training, crating, walk times, play time etc. I have a fenced yard and currently have a female corgi at my house, I can give your dog the utmost attention while in my care, and they can have a friend to play with if their meet and greet is successful
15. Makenna W.
About: Hi I am Makenna! I have been a dog owner since I was very little. Now, as a farmer, I care for a bunch of different types of animals including wild farm dogs. I figured I can share my care for animals in the community! Logging many hours at my local animal shelter, I have walked the slow dogs, the hyper ones, the large and the tiny. All of them bring me joy with all of their different personalities! I would love to be your dog's walker and pride myself in exceptional care and attention for each one of them. There is no discrimination based on size or drool amount of any dog. Hope to hear from you and your pet soon! Since I am a farmer, I work long days. I would ask you only reach out if your dogs are okay with long periods of time being alone and do not require a mid day check in. I want to provide the best possible care to the animals and the love that they are used to! I can look after your animals in the morning and evenings and be there through the night! Please reach out with any questions regarding care or pricing; I’m flexible! During the week, I can care for your pet in the evening after my work day is done at around 5. I am available mostly all day on the weekends. I care for pets by matching their personality. The dogs withe more energy will be given a different walk then the dog that likes to stop and smell the flowers. I can work with any dog!

18. Kimberly W.
About: Hi there! I'm Kim, a 43 year-old Physical Therapist. I am active and love to hike and cross country ski - and would enjoy taking your dog on any adventure, big or small. I love dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and ages; and will care for your pet like it is my own. I grew up with Annie-Belle, an orange Tabby cat who hopped our fence and was never claimed by her previous owners. In my adult life I adopted Kayla, a Siberian Husky mix who adventured with me for 18 lucky years. I have not yet found a new pet of my own, but greatly enjoy the time I get to spend with client’s furry friends. Recently, I have also been housesitting and caring for the gardens for patients of mine while they are on vacation, with or without pets. Please contact me with any questions you might have, or to schedule a meet and greet! Over my years in the Flathead Valley I have developed repeat customers that I enjoy interacting with, and look forward to caring for their pets and homes whenever requested. I am available for long-term gigs as well. I can provide as many updates as pictures as you desire while your pets are in my care. I am building my schedule at a new PT practice so am not yet working 40 hours/week. I can provide whatever care your pets need in the morning, at, lunch and all evening/night. At the moment the longest I’m gone for work is 6.5 hours but can always get a lunch break to pop over for a walk/treats/snuggles if you live close enough. I am very cautious while petsitting. Even if owners say their dog is ok off leash I at least leash them in the parking lot to load/unload and wait until a quarter mile away from the parking lot to unleash. Not worth the risk of the unknown, especially before you’re certain a dog trusts you and will respond to your commands. I will treat and care for your pets and home like they are my own.
19. David R.
“David is reliable and responsible. But he’s also very kind and that translates into someone I would trust my own dogs with 1000%. David is the kind of person you want spending time with your animals, because you know he’s going to treat them right. I would recommend David to anyone, and I already have to some of my own River clients.”
20. Megan N.
“Megan took care of my 2 dogs and 1 cat for 3yrs when I needed her service. She’s loving, soft spoken, gentle & ultra patient. I trust her in my personal space to spend time with them, to walk them & paid her to take them to some of their vet appointments when I was out of town. I’m very detailed with my instructions and she had no issues following them. Very attentive to details.”
