Pet care experience

Big yard, safe home, very attentive

I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’m the go-to sitter for friends because I genuinely love being around animals and put a lot of care into making sure they feel safe, understood, and comfortable. During my psychology degree, I completed a minor in Animal-Assisted Interventions and Psychotherapy, focusing on animal behavior, emotional attunement, human-animal connection, and therapeutic support work. My own dog is a huge part of my life. She travels around the country with me and goes almost everywhere by my side. I personally trained her with therapy service dog foundations, which taught me a lot about patience, consistency, structure, and reading a dog’s needs and body language.

Doggy Day Care • Jul 13, 2026

Kaylea was absolutely AMAZING!!! We were in Whitefish on vacation from Denver and needed a great space for our golden retriever to play while we were out seeing Glacier. for the day. I found Kaylea and she was the best choice! Kaylea was incredibly responsive when getting info/booking and when we showed up to her house/yard we were blown away. It's a dog's dream! Her beautiful back yard is HUGE and completely fenced in with room to run and play. Daisy, our pup, had an incredible time playing with her dog and another she was watching. She sent fun pics throughout the day. Kaylea is super responsible, huge dog lover, ALL the things! We give her our highest recommendation and can't wait to reach out out the next time we are in Whitefish.

Thank you Kaylea for caring for our young energetic boy while we were at a wedding. He had so much fun playing in the yard with other dogs and we were happy to get all the updates.

Kaylea took great care of Finn. When I stopped in for a visit he was so happy he didn't even care when I left. Her dog Bennie is a love-She gets along so well with other dogs! Kaylea had a nice big yard. Kaylea spends so much time with your pet. She is so loving & caring. Finn came home like he'd been at a retreat!!

10/10 highly recommend. She took genuine interest in caring for my dog and accommodated a schedule change last minute. Clifford didn't even seem to want to leave when I came to pick him up!!! Very pleased and will book again if I am ever in the area.

Schedule

I'm fortunate that my days are centered around my dog, Bennie. I get up, let her out right away, then prepare her breakfast, and she eats while we start the morning together outside. I’m home most of the time and spend my days in the yard gardening, doing yard work, or working on projects around the property, so she’s with me and supervised throughout the day. I also always make sure there’s some form of engagement or mental stimulation so dogs are never bored or over-energized, whether that’s training, enrichment activities, or interactive play. If I need to run errands, Bennie usually comes with me and stays in the car if the weather is safe. If it’s too warm, she stays home in her calm, familiar environment instead. I’m typically only gone for short errands and make a point of never leaving her alone for long. When we’re not at home, we’re usually outside doing something active- swimming at the lake, going on hikes, going for runs, or taking long walks. Our lifestyle is very outdoors-oriented, and she’s included in almost everything I do

Safety, trust & environment

Dogs are a huge part of my life, and because I care deeply about providing a safe, low stress environment, I intentionally keep my boarding environment calm and structured. My goal is to give well mannered dogs a place that feels like home, not a kennel. To make sure every dog, including my own dog Bennie, stays safe and happy, I only accept dogs that are a good fit for my home and lifestyle. The dogs I board must be friendly and non aggressive toward people and other dogs, with no history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, or serious reactivity. Any signs of aggression or unsafe behavior during a stay may result in an early pickup request. They must be fully house trained with no ongoing accidents indoors. I understand an occasional accident can happen in a new environment, but dogs that regularly mark, urinate, or defecate indoors are not a good fit. If repeated accidents occur during a stay, I may request early pickup. Dogs should be comfortable in a home environment without excessive or persistent barking. Occasional alert barking is understandable, but they must be responsive to redirection and not fixate on people, sounds, or movement outside the home. Dogs that bark continuously when I leave or struggle to settle with normal household noise are not a good fit. Dogs should be able to relax quietly indoors without excessive vocalizing, as I have neighbors and tenants I respect. Dogs should be able to stay home alone for short periods, such as while I run errands, without destructive behavior or severe separation anxiety. For safety, dogs should ride comfortably in a vehicle if transportation is ever necessary and have reliable recall and respect physical boundaries. Dogs with a history of escaping, climbing, or jumping fences are not a good fit for my property. They should also be comfortable sharing space with Bennie and enjoy appropriate, respectful play. Bennie is always at the top of my mind, and safety is my number one priority. I have a fully fenced, dog-proof yard with a secure gate that is always kept closed. I also have cameras on the property to monitor for wildlife or anything unsafe outside. Inside the home, I use non-toxic, pet-safe cleaning products and avoid harsh chemicals. I’m very mindful of anything dogs could be sensitive to, including what they’re exposed to, what they play with, and what they’re given. I only use safe toys and bones that are appropriate and supervised. Chewing must be under control. I provide plenty of appropriate toys and chew options, but dogs that chew furniture, household items, or damage property will result in an early pickup request. I also reserve the right to request reimbursement for any damage or excessive cleaning caused during a stay. I spend most of my days at home working on my property, gardening, hiking, or enjoying the outdoors with Bennie, so visiting dogs receive plenty of companionship, supervision, enrichment, and exercise. Safety is always my top priority, and I carefully screen each booking to make sure it is the right fit for everyone involved. I understand these requirements may not fit every dog, and that is okay. My goal is not to accommodate every pet. It is to provide exceptional care for dogs that thrive in a calm, structured home environment.

It is important for me to know ahead of time if a dog has any history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, excessive reactivity, or destructive behavior, including chewing or damage to furniture or belongings. I also need to be aware of any past issues with house training, including accidents indoors, marking, or difficulty adjusting to new environments. Please let me know if your dog has any separation anxiety, difficulty being left alone, or a tendency to bark excessively when left or when hearing normal household or outdoor noises. Dogs that struggle to settle in a home environment or are highly reactive to people, sounds, or movement outside may not be a good fit. I also need to know if your dog has any history of escaping, fence climbing, or attempting to run off, as safety and containment are very important here. Any medical conditions, sensitivities, or behavioral triggers are also helpful to share so I can provide the safest and most appropriate care possible. My goal is always to provide a calm, structured, and safe environment, and the more I know ahead of time, the better I can ensure a good fit for everyone involved.
