“I love that I don’t have to worry about my kitties when Colleen is caring for them. I know they are in such caring and trusting hands when we are away. She is excellent and I am so happy we can turn to her, especially on such short notice. She has been caring for our cats and we hope to be able to continue to turn to her when we need to be away.”

About: Ever since the family cat had kittens when I was four years old, I have been drawn to the care of animals. Honoring the lives of pets as our friends has been a source of inspiration and therapy for myself personally. As a working artist, taking the time to care for animals has been such a privilege and the perfect change of pace while I continue to work on creative projects. I have a German Shepherd that I keep separated from the work I do with other animals. I am located at a small farmhouse in Augusta that has a huge yard with two a-joining fields. There is more than enough room to explore the surround with your pet. I am also an avid walker so exercise is big for me generally.

About: I have experience taking care of many animals! For my family and friends I have taken care of households full of animals in the past. Animals are a passion of mine and I love working with them! I'm currently a college student doing in home care for the elderly and I'm looking for something extra to fill in the gaps. I love animals in every form! I am currently free on in between days during the week and weekends! I have experience taking care of all sorts of animals and have taken care of animals for long periods in the past. A lot of the animals I have taken care of are super quirky and need some extra attention or problem-solving involved. I personally have a cat and two pigeons at the moment! Let me know what your pet needs and I will follow it 100%!

About: 🦮🇺🇸 I love animals and enjoy spoiling them like kids, I’ve been taking care of pets ranging from dogs to cats, to turtles to fish and snakes for the past eight years and look forward to walking some pets! I have experience with small and large dogs, outdoor breeds, senior pets, puppies, pets on medication and medical issues, high energy breeds, rabbits, kittens, cats, and even reptiles. 🐾🦴 I have experience with giving medication to dogs. If your pet has any medical issue care, I have experience with that as well. I am familiar with having to administer medication like ear drops and eye drops and the occasional head scratch. Army Veteran trying to find things to take up my extra time, wanting to get out and see the city and explore as well as interact with locals and get a “petter” sense of the surrounding area. I work during the day for the State of Maine but have the afternoons and nights always free and an hour during the day to book if there is an immediate need. I love animals and enjoy spoiling them like kids, I’ve been taking care of pets such as my own two doggos for the past few years and look forward to walking some and meeting them.

About: I have worked as a vet assistant and groomer. Pets have been a part of the family for my whole life, everything from bearded dragons and guinea pigs to a wonderful St. Bernard. I might actually be part cat. I'm a stay-at-home mom. Every morning I give the insistent critters their breakfast and some play time before letting the dogs out. Play and cuddle time happens all day. There is a big basket of toys for both dogs and cats in the living room and jars of treats are scattered around the house. Our yard isn't fenced yet, but there is a runner and the yard is surrounded by woods. We're also on a dead end road, so there's no traffic. The cats have litter boxes in the basement, with a cat door for access. That gives them a bit of privacy, the dogs aren't allowed down there. The cats also have a water fountain and food bowls high enough that the dogs can't reach.

About: Hi, I have taken care of my own pets and other people's pets for years. I moved to Mid coast ME 5 yrs ago from Nantucket. I am also a professional gardener, so if you need watering etc while your away. I am currently self employed, so I have a flexible schedule. We can figure out a plan for your pet care. Look forward in planning w you. I have a dog Elka and 2 cats. Elka is easy going dog who loves other dogs and cats. About: I’ve worked at 2 doggy daycares in the last few years where we did boarding. I’ve also worked in a cat boarding facility and have worked at pet stores for about 5-6 years. I was trusted with cleaning up after and giving medications to pets that needed it. I’m currently working part time in Freeport so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets and spend time with them and take them on walks depending on weather. I live in a wooded area with access to tie outs so your pets and I could sit outside on good days and play. I have an extra room in the house where I can easily board your pet but would require you to bring a crate if they’re crate trained depending on the size of the pet. I do have two crates available that I could use if you’re unable to bring their crate. I have 2 cats in the household along with my fiance so they would have to be cat and man friendly.

About: I’ve taken care of plenty of family/friends pets for a few years. We have a 1yr old lab and a 2 yr old cat as well. I love to work with puppies on their sit and stays (or really anything you might want assistance with). I can be sure to keep the training going! Nothing is better than a well trained dog! I currently work Monday-Friday but am happy to do evenings/overnights or even weekends for your favorite loved ones! I can also stay overnight during the week as well and go back after I’m out of work if that is ok with you and your pets schedule!! We have a 1 yr old lab who loves to play and is happy to if your pets allow it! We don’t use a leash on him at home as we live in the woods but if your dog is a runner I will keep them on a leash so we don’t have any issues. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. I am sensitive to animals' needs and unique personalities. I'm just as happy playing and romping as hanging out while they sniff and explore on their own. I am currently in between jobs, so I have a very flexible schedule. I'm easy to reach and have good communication skills. I am available most days during the day. I'm looking forward to coming to you to care for your pet, whether it's for a walk or just a bathroom break and some playtime inside. If you have a fenced in yard, I'm happy to play with your dog off leash too.

Lucy A.
“Lucy has cared for our dogs (cats and other farm animals) for more than 10 years. We entirely trust her. Our last dog, Harvey, a lab/hound mix, was sometimes aggressive with other dogs. Lucy worked well with him in a controlled and save manner. Our current dog, Denali, a hound mix, could not be friendlier and more laid-back - although he sometimes likes to chase squirrels. While on walks, Lucy uses dog treats to reinforce his behavior and keep him close at hand. You will find Lucy to be straightforward and easy to talk with. As a former kindergarten teacher, Lucy is dependable, caring and fun. We highly recommend her and appreciate all that she has done for us - and our dogs.”
